A L&O Landscaping truck showed up at my home. We did not request or require their service. The technician exited the truck without a mask. Rather than coming to the front door to announce himself, he promptly, began walking through my yard with tools in hand. We had to run outside, stop him and ask him to leave. He just stood there, rude and incredulous. The customer service agent did not have a response or provide an apology.

Update, 4/15/2021:Changed our rating from 2 stars to 5 after a follow-on visit this week. Nate reached out to us after our initial experience and review, to hear it directly from us and see what could be done to make things right. We were frank that the first visit did not meet the Lawn & Order reputation, and Nate immediately offered to schedule a crew to come out and correct things at no additional cost to us.The crew arrived Wednesday afternoon, and after a short conversation with the crew chief, they got right to work. In less than an hour, the crew chief walked me around the property to show what had be done, and things were picture perfect.Bottom line: We’re gonna call the first visit a fluke. Nate stands by the work that Lawn & Order provides, and we’ll recommend them to anyone. 5 out of 5.Original review below:We initially heard good reviews for Lawn & Order on Reddit, and the guy who did the initial consultation was pleasant. Their first visit to mow was incomplete and obviously sloppy. Their crew did not mow or edge an entire area (clearly part of our property), and half of the backyard wasn’t mowed. We have a small lot in the first place, so we’re at a loss as to why they didn’t finish the job.We reached out to the company, included many, many, pictures of the grass being unkept, tall, and clearly untouched (tips of the uncut grass as evidence), and Lawn and Order responded by saying it looked like they had the mower set too high. They also said they did not cut the weeds because it works better this way for the treatment (?). I’m not sure about the weeds issue, but the excuse re blades being set too high was not accurate at all - there is a clear difference between where they did cut and where they didn’t. Unless they switched the length of the blades midway through our back yard (we aren’t on a slope, no strange texture, very plain backyard) this sounds like a cop out.We were hoping for lawn and order to just come out and fix the issue / cut the areas they skipped, but they said it would “sort itself out” at their next scheduled (e.g. paid) visit. Not sure why we would want to have them come back for another paid visit if they couldn’t be bothered to cut our small lawn fully the first visit.Unfortunately we’ll be moving on to other lawn care companies, but wanted to provide this review so others know about our experience and the lack of resolution offered by Lawn and Order when we tried to reach out. To be clear, the staff was polite...just not helpful nor interested in fixing an incomplete job.

We have been a Lawn and Order customer since moving to North Carolina 2 1/2 years ago. We have been so very pleased with Joe and his staff. Joe provided education and great service from the very beginning. Joe continues to be very responsive and his crews are always friendly and do a great job. From landscaping our front yard 2 years ago to doing our backyard this year they have done a fabulous job. They are thoughtful and thorough each and every visit when doing our lawn. We highly recommend Lawn and Order.

I ended up canceling my service due to several issues. First one was I was quoted a price to have my yard maintenance done biweekly with yard waste bagged and places for waste management to pickup but this was never done. Leaves were always blown to the back of my house which was not agreed upon and made it look awful. I called several times to complain about this and was told they would make a note and place this on my chart. It was never corrected. Another thing that made me cancel was not actually mowing my yard. I have a tiny yard and they would take the weed eater and “mow” my yard by that way. I call that trimming. The last reason was an extra charge of 4% was added to your bill if you paid by visa. I think if you own a business it’s not your customer’s responsibility to pay the fee for this service. It should be offer but not the customer’s responsibility to pay the fee.

We switched to Lawn & Order about a year ago for our lawn care, and we have been thoroughly happy with the service. We are located in Cary, and our lawn looks better now than it has at any other time in the last eleven years. Lawn & Order has also consistently been exceptionally attentive and courteous whenever I have sent them an e-mail or left a voice message. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable lawn care professional.

I sent written instructions to them (4 bullet points), and they didnt do what I asked. We still have pine cones and dead leaves all over the front and back yard. Also, two sapling trees were not removed. For this they charged $45 per hour X 2 workers for 6 hours. Not worth it for the quality of work. Hire high school or college students!

Outrageous quote for annual lawn maintenance.

Lawn and Order provides bi-weekly lawn maintenance and also takes care of the weed and pest control treatments as well as fertilizer. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a company that truly cares. Frankie, Wally and Jacob are the maintenance team and they always go above and beyond. Nate has done an amazing job helping my lawn look so good that my neighbors say it looks like a golf course. If you looking for a great price and even better service, this is the company for you!

Top notch landscaping company. We have used them here at Jimmys Minis Self Storage for over 4 years and are very satisfied with their work. When they fist started doing our lawn and bushes it was just Rob and Joe doing all the work. Now they have over 6 crews maintaining yards. You dont expand like this without satisfied customers referring their friends and continuing with Lawn and Order.

Lying folks said there was no where safe to park a pickup so they cant do my yard, theres room for 6 tractor trailers to park safely. If you dont want the work dont lie about the reason.

The folks that came out to do the job where fine and did a good job; my issue was with the questionable & unethical business practices of this company. I will not use them again and do not recommend them to anyone who think honesty and full disclosure are important.

Ive used them for two years and they have taken meticulous care of our lawn and garden. The drainage system they built for us has worked miracles on our very steeply sloped property. The crews area all courteous, professional, and I think it says a lot about the company that most of the crews have been working on our property from the start and know us well.
