They put you on a payment plan and still file a judgement against you at the court house. you call the court house and explain this to them and they tell you that they can not do this. lots of confusion. so why pay them if they are putting a judgement against you? this is a big mess.

I had a custody case and hired this firm to represent me. The quoted a price to do the case, then we made arrangements. I initially filed all the paper work. Still not seeing my child, all I got out of the money I spent was in contempt order which cost 125 still not seeing my son. So I dismissed my case fired them and now the want 14,000.00. This firm is money hungry and will not get you anything. I strongly advise to stay away.

I went to Smith Debnam after separating from my wife. Meet John Narron, I told him my story and based on that he told me exactly what my ex was entitled to. Later I was Passed to Max Rodden to represent me. My Ex was represented by a deceptive liar that told her she was entitled to so much more. Only after her dragging things out and lining her pockets Max advised mediation. Then and only then my Ex was told the truth by the Mediator. It was a long day but we were able to wrap things up.

Worked with Max Rodden it the past. He was very professional & ethical. Max was a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend!!!

I have never been so poorly represented in my life although Divorce has been my only need for council thus far. Please dont be fooled by the Lawyer of the Year accommodations posted on their website that I now know to merely be awards given by lawyers to their legal peers vs actual customers. Apparently, its just a richly politic based method created to distribute these so called awards as a I will scratch your back if you scratch mine arrangement, in a word a facade. It must be nice however, I was so inspired by this I just now awarded myself and 3 of my colleagues Corporate Sales Leaders of the Universe for 2020:)!Honestly, in full awareness of my already lengthy review, there truly is far too much to write to even attempt to properly explain the enormous level of ineptness I received across every single facet of their work.As others have shared, the only thing they are even distantly expert at is billing and seeking payment. To say the very least especially for a divorce settlement, I was happy to pay for the value I had initially hoped and expected to receive. Unfortunately, and I am not over stating things to say, not only was zero value delivered, but I would have unquestionably been served if I had represented myself. Its very rare that I ever take the time to share a review, but based on my very costly and miserable experience, I felt strongly compelled to do so, hoping I can help others avoid the same. I am tempted to put this in all caps, but I digress:) Do NOT for any reason consider this firm.

The lowest of the low. Jerry Myers says he reads the good book everyday, but what he reads is his bank statement. The man will lie to you, lie about you, misquote you, and do whatever he can to walk all over you without one bit of concern for what is right. If these people call you, even in error, its going to cost you some bucks to get rid of them.

Seems all the attorneys in this office has a very nasty disposition when talking to clients on the phone! I’ve spoken to three different attorneys who were very nasty and unprofessional!

DO NOT deal with their employee Kimberly Fields. We tried to fix a debt that was owed and she gave us a number to call to work out a solution. We found out after it was too late that it was to some other collection agency. We had already sent the money. Now they say that she never gave us another number, that it wasnt on the recording. I guess she cut the recording off at just the right time. BEWARE BIG SCAM!!

The worst worst customer service I’ve ever experienced! Wow I can’t believe people act like this. I’m disgusted I wish I could give them a negative star rating, they degrade those who come into their office and all they are is money hungry. I wouldn’t even rate them one start to be honest. They are so unprofessional there, two of the lawyers hung up on me. They are liars and tried to act like they didn’t know what I was asking for when I was calling. Do not waste your time nor money with these people.

I had such a horrible experience with this firm. Brian Register was the attorney representing the buyers in the sale of home. He and his paralegal, Miryam Druggers, we’re responsible for organizing the closing and the necessary paperwork. They’re lack of professionalism was staggering. They did not return phone calls or emails, from me, my realtor, or the buyers (their clients). They sent me the paperwork late, after several requests. When I received it, my name was spelled wrong and it took hours to get that corrected. No one returned our calls or contacted us to verify they had received my paperwork. They didn’t even tell me that the date of the closing was moved. On the actual date of the closing, they were totally silent while both seller and buyer were asking for paperwork. They set back the closing by another day with their lack of diligence. To top it off, their front desk assistant was so rude and unprofessional. She wouldn’t help me when I was desperate to get my paperwork to them on a short time frame (after it was sent wrong and late) and then hung up on me. She screened my calls and ignores my attempts to call back but answered when I called from a different number. I left the attorney, Mr. Register, five voicemails and he never called me back. The only solace I had is that I didn’t spend money for this trash lawyering. If I was the buyer and was paying for this, I would be filing a bar complaint.

Smith Debnam is comprised of attorneys of excellent legal talent. Work is performed both expertly and timely.This firm is able to address wide variety of legal services.If I find myself in need of additional legal services, I will not hesitate to go to Smith Debnam.

They will not work with you at all to settle anything husband total disabled fixed income can not find out who the main supervisor is or main attorney he had cancer bought a vehicle had it only two weeks took it back they sold it Im trying to settle but cant come to a agreement its been 5 years my husband mental health upset lost his parents and only sister plus cancer in five year time frame very upset

Emily Jeske helped me to settle my divorce case. She was responsive, prompt and courteous. She helped me to navigate a complicated process and advocated for what was in my childrens best interests. I found the front desk staff helpful and I could not have asked for a better experience with the divorce itself, all thanks to Emily (I ended up working with Emily after two other lawyers couldnt help me).

Worked with Lauren Reeves on a few different items and she was very professional and made many insightful comments other attorneys at other firms failed to mention. Would recommend for any legal needs after my experience. Nice office facilities and easy access as well which is a plus.

These people are the worst. They harass you for funds and only offer unaffordable finance options. After all of their program setup fees and finance charges my bill increased by nearly 25% just to get the charges stretched out over six months. To make matters worse, their phone numbers are primarily extension setup to go straight to voicemail with a message that says for a prompt response, contact me by email, otherwise your call will be returned in one business day. I emailed them in the morning only to receive no response the entire day. This was after I had already tried reaching them by phone several days before.If I could I would give zero stars. Do yourself a favor and find another firm to work with!

Extremely unprofessional. This firm sent a threatening letter regarding a foreclosure claim against my mothers estate. When I attempted to contact the firm to pay the claim, I was pushed around from department to department and voicemail to voicemail. No one returned my call. Youd think that if they want their money so urgently, they would return a phone call - especially if you want to pay the claim!

I just called this morning and spoke to the receptionist if they offer investment prospectus creation, would have thought I called Dunkin Dounts asking about nuclear fission. My goodness a business law firm that does not understand basic business forms. Shop around.

This firm is cold, unprofessional, expensive and will drag things out just to pad their wallets I made the mistake of using ms journey for issues relating to child custody and support because she was supposed to be a child advocate, my first mistake my ex went for mean Wyrwick, PONTIN and after nearly 3yrs of paying for unreturned phone calls or emails and huge bills that were unitimized she dragged me to an hours long mediation where I was convinced that giving away all I was entitled to was the best way to quickly end the years of stress this had caused I signed under duress because I was told and it was part of the agreement that the money (not even half of what my ex owed) or even half of the lawyers bills would be deposited into my account 30days later, well one year Nd more legal bill later I finally got the SETTLEMENT funds, shop around find a proper attorney that values you and your children not just your money. If I could give zero stars I would worst decision I ever made was to entrust my financial situation to this firm.

After lots of business with this firm and spending several thousand dollars with them not to mention over 10 years of being a client. called the office on a Wednesday with an emergency because I was informed of a situation taking place the next day which I needed urgent legal advice for. I left a voicemail as that was all that was available (no live human being attorney). My phone call was never returned and when I tried to get through for help the next day I was met with an oh well all we can do is put you through to a voice mail. Extremely unprofessional and not going to be of any help in a emergency situation. Im beginning to question why I am doing bussiness with these people and am now looking for a competitor who does want to help me with my legal matter. EXTREMELY DISATISFIED!! 😡😡😡

Called the company total about 25 times to pay a miscommunicated HOA dues. Only got to talk with alive person 1.5 times (one time that person only let me speak half of a sentence) then I was transferred to a machine again. This company has zero customer service.

They were sending letters to the wrong address and when they filed a civil summons against me they said they were still going to sue me even though I made a promise to pay. Crooked!

THEIR DEBT COLLECTION SECTION KEEP CALLING ME -- I HAVE NO BUSINESS WITH THEM AND WHEN I TRY TO CALL BACK TO TELL THEM THAT ALL I GET IS A RECORDING. I THINK THIS OUTFIT IS A VERY CROOKED OUTFIT THAT USES HARASSMENT TO COLLECT THEIR DEBTS. I DO NOT HAVE ANY OUTSTANDING DEBTS AT ALL AND THEY HAVE NO REASON OR BUSINESS CALLING MY HOME PHONE NUMBER
