Hire Scene is an app that you download, type in your information, and do a FaceTime interview. Once in, jobs post according to your location. You choose when and where you work as much as you want or as little as you want. You check in and out on the app. It is based on a system of ratings. You rate your events and you are rated based upon your performance. To the best of my understanding, the higher your employer rates you gives you first availability at that venue.Positives: It is in your terms. Variety of jobs and venues, pay is posted, money direct deposited weekly on Friday’s. All on the app.Jobs in Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill and Raleigh that Are within my choice of distance. I have not seen anything post in Greensboro or Winston-Salem as I do go to area.Negatives: Once you work at a venue, you have to work 500 hours at THAT venue to apply for a job at that venue.Some jobs are definitely more seasonal than others. Work is more sparse in the summer and can go extremely quick.Overall: I really enjoy the flexibility. The people at Hire Scene have been very nice to work for. Everything is professional. As a veteran teacher this gives me a extra job without getting stuck with a minimum number of shifts or hours required. I do recommend and have recommended friends.

Hire Scene has been a heaven sent for me! I spent over 6 months looking for a part time job that was both flexible, and enjoyable, and Hire Scene has provided that opportunity for me. The best part about the job is meeting new people, and being able to expand my network.

I love working through the Hire Scene app! It allows me to make my own work schedule and is convenient for someone like me, who doesn’t like to be tied down by a set work schedule. I love that I get to choose when I want to work!

I absolutely recommend Hire Scene! After a 20 yr background in hospitality (worked my way up from a retail employee to fine dining restaurant GM to multi-hotel DOSM with Starwood), I “retired” from hospitality and successfully changed industries. But I missed hospitality/food & beverage.I have hired temp companies before in my prior leadership roles, and had expectations with regards to the contract employees. I would have absolutely contracted with Hire Scene for my temp employees - they have a talented team of temps - and I am humbly proud to say that these days, I am a member of that team.I have really enjoyed working at the venues that Hire Scene has opportunities for - ranging from venue concessions (where I may occasionally be able to hear an amazing concert - ahem - Metallica) to hotel banquet/catering events to upscale locations for weddings and C-level corporate events.Hire Scene is wonderful to work with - they are incredibly responsive to questions, and also growth opportunities. Though I can, at this point, be hired on directly with a few venues, I prefer to stay working with Hire Scene. I love the diversity, and another major plus is that they have a great health/dental/vision plan available - you just have to make sure you work enough shifts in a week to cover the cost, and it’s exceptionally reasonable!! And I am comparing to years of corporate health benefits. I personally have a couple of health issues that I need medications for, and the plan has covered my co-pays for dr visits and meds better than some corporate plans I had in the past - and paid more for.If you have a good work ethic & enjoy the industry - Hire Scene is the place for you. Hire Scene allows me to create my own work schedule, which is great so I can also focus on my studies! Great venues and super friendly staff, I always recommend them to my friends that are looking for work!

I am currently filing a Discrimination Complaint against Hirescene. These people are liars and unprofessional.Most places do not like or want to hire any Hirescene temps.Do not apply here.Lots.of other great temp agencies and others pay more.

I have now worked with Hirescene for over a year and plan to stay with them much longer. This is the most practical job that a college student, such as myself, could ever have. You make your own work schedule which can vary from 0 to over 20 hours a week working at a variety of different venues in your area. The mobile app sends you alerts, whether through text or email, for available shifts within a certain mile radius that you indicate on your profile. I have been paid ranging from $10 to $17/hour, working at venues such as museums, country clubs, and even the state fair. It is an extremely fun job with tons of flexibility, considering you work where you want, when you want with no obligations until you accept a shift! 10/10 recommend if you are interested in having a variety of work experience in bartending, banquet serving, ticket taking, dishwashing, etc and meeting tons of new people. I will say that some venues are more fun to work at than others, but this is purely based on preference and everyones opinion will be different.If I could change or add anything with the app, I would like to be able to see the ratings that the different venues receive from other Hirescene employees. I would also love to see how the venues rate me and my performance so that I can adjust based upon the reviews.
