Let me start by saying, Morgan was very nice and pleasant to converse with. When starting the employment process. She was easy going and extremely transparent about exceptionsCAROLINE IS UNPROFESSIONAL and left me a rude voicemail because I didn’t have a chance back to them (it hadn’t been 24 hours). She stated if I didn’t give a call back in one hour, She would withdrawal my application and I would never be considered for employment at Apex System again. I asked that the never contact me again after that voicemail. I’m contacted yet again .. the next morning at 8:00am about the same position that I had a “hour to respond to”. I will not work with a company that has no consideration and understanding that people have life’s too and I also will not work with immature person, that tries to use “scare tactics” to get a call back.Save yourself the stress and look somewhere else when looking for help to find employment.
They will send you information via LinkedIn but they take weeks to follow up with you. If you are lucky enough to get into contact with them they cannot give you and specific information and will promise to call back but they never do. If you do get hired I would avoid working at their Cisco office/job GFEP assignment at all costs. It has a high turnover rate and It is poorly run. The project major for the team is a horrible communicator. She will give you as little information as possible, and encourages work place gossip and a high school like atmosphere. If you get the misfortune of having to go to her for help she will acts like you’re an inconvenience and will do pretty much anything not to be bothered. Not to mention will do and say anything anything to keep a contractor that way they can make more money off of you. Their training is out of date. Any meetings you have on them is about how they can improve Apex but they never act on the information. The only person there who seems to care is Healea Dupuis. You are better off sidestepping them and going to another agency.
I have worked for this staffing firm in two different states and I have nothing bad to say about it at all. I have worked on three assignments for this staffing firm and Im presently on the fourth and I can not say anything bad about the customer service I have received or the due diligence in regards to finding me good positions in the field that I am degreed in. I worked out of the Glen Allen, Va. office and the Raleigh, NC office and they have found me gainful employment every time. I know things happen sometimes, they may not be able to find you gainful employment right away but once something comes through matching your skill set, they are definitely going to call you. Also in answering some of the bad remarks made about this staffing firm, they are all case by case and can not be considered an overall consensus about this staffing firm. Please feel free to contact Andrew Hill or Tyler, they will be more than happy to assist you in the Raleigh NC office
So far things are good. I talked with Andrew in November about looking for jobs in my degree. He found me a position in February. I had to fill out paper-work and such. I start training on Monday. So far, so good.
Very poor communication. Extremely not driven to help you succeed in finding a company that you are a best fit for and for the company. Very disappointed in their treatment of candidates and lack there of communication. Would never recommend unless they change how they approach and communicate with candidates.
Worked at Apex almost a year and it was smooth, incredibly low pay compared to other companies but it was my first contracting job and I know better now. Then I had to deploy for the military, I sent all my appropriate paperwork to all concerning parties. When I came back I was told I’d be eligible for vacation time and movement upwards. Then 2 weeks before I was set to start they told me no momvemnet and no one confirmed that I would get vacation time. What’s worse is someone in the chain questioned my service and Apex did not defend me even though they had all the paperwork. I decided that was the last straw and took another contract since I still had not signed my contract with them. Then they tried to SABATOGE my employment with my new company, saying I belonged to them even though I didn’t sign the contract yet. Almost didn’t get the job but luckily my company was able to sort it out.
I interviewed with Apex systems twice. My first time was for a Technical Recruiter position with Apex. While I did not get the job I was impressed by the amount of professionalism and customer service they displayed. My second interview was for a customer service position that they were trying to fill for one of their clients. The person who I was working with, an IT recruiter named Stacey Ludington, gave a very vague job description which was completely different from what the hiring manager told me. This left me bewildered and forced me to think on my feet during the interview. Despite this, the interview went well. A day after the interview I was called by Stacy and told that they wanted to move forward. She proceeded to send me the onboarding paperwork. In addition to giving me the wrong job description, there were numerous times in which she sent me the wrong forms and did not provide proper instructions on how to complete the forms. When I called her for clarification she was flippant and vague. It seemed that I was just another number to her. The onboarding process, which should have taken a day to complete, took three, and the end of the third day I received a call from one of her co-workers informing that the department I was going to be working for had a funding issue and that the job was no longer available. When I called her to get more information she was vague and flippant. About six months later I received a call from Stacy, on my lunch break, informing that Blue Cross and Blue Shield had an open position. I called her back and it her three weeks to respond. In addition to being vague, disorganized, slow to respond, and not having the courtesy of calling me her self to inform me that the previous position was no longer available; I looked at her linked in profile and found out that she does not have a background in IT yet performs recruiting work for IT professionals. I would avoid working with her at all costs.
Agency was able to get me placed right away. I worked with Allie and she was very helpful!
Not impressed. Interviewed for a job and was told Ive been elevated to the second round of interviews. Called to follow up and was then told the client hired someone else 3 days ago.I was then told to look at their website to see if any other jobs are of interest to me. I found one and was told the Manager doesnt want to interview anyone he already spoke with, hes looking for fresh new faces. I wanted to know who he was and who is the company, but they wont tell me.4 months of unemployment. Whoever thinks RTP is anything like Silicon Valley as far as jobs is mistaken, too many people and not enough jobs.
All the bad reviews on here are true. I had a job, but needed a better one. They called and I answered and took off work to do all the paper work and drug test and etc, and spent gas money for this job to start nov 1 2015. I called atleast every other day to make sure that everything was ok, I put in my 2 weeks notice at my current job. Then Nov 1 comes and they tell me they do not know when I start considering I been calling almost everyday and nobody telling me anything. I had already left my other job and can not go back for a whole year. Now I am job less and they cost me money for them to only tell me now o I figured you knew you were a backup just in case. You are being considered. When they did not use those words when they told me that I had a job. I listen very carefully. So Do not care for them anymore. I have enough struggles in my life to worry about than they trying to manipulate me. DO NOT TRY IT, IT WILL COST YOU.
Easily the most unprofessional IT recruitment firm in the triangle and RTP. They allow contractors to govern over fellow contractors without accountability and play favorites, from which it shows in the accounts Apex has lost and been blacklisted from (like Cisco Systems for example). You are much bettor off going with TEKsystems, the Select Group, or Insight Global.
I have been with Apex Systems for a month now. Josh really went above and beyond to get my the job I have now. I work at a great place with other fellow Apex contractors and couldnt be happier.
Spammers. They just send out inappropriate and probably fictional jobs to anyone with the words software engineer on their resume.
