When my wife and I decided to finish off our bare basement, we researched and interviewed several different remodeling agencies. Our initial visit with Distinctive Remodeling was with Eddie Casanave, the founder/owner of DR. We were both impressed with Eddie, his company and proposed pricing. After signing the contract, we were assigned Michelle as our designer and Keith as our project manager. We could not have asked for two better people for our project. Michelle came up with a great design (a TV/Entertainment room. two bedrooms and bath) and was beyond patient with helping us decide on materials and colors. Keith created a construction schedule that was shared with us. He also made certain we were kept informed of the different processes and trades that would be working on our basement. He was able to keep the entire project on schedule and was available literally 24 hours a day for any questions we may have had. At the end of the project, we have exactly what we were hoping for. We strongly recommend Distinctive Remodeling for any remodeling project you may have. You wont be disappointed.

Matt Faro was terrific to work with when my oven, down vent and cooktop went out and had to be replaced. The good folks at Distinctive Appliances referred me to Matt when we took the opportunity to add a double oven to our kitchen and rework the island for more storage. He and the team went above and beyond to make sure that the new cabinets not only matched, but that all the new appliances that had to be put in were upgraded to code in the installation. The work is beautiful, the service was great. The coordination with Distinctive Appliances was seamless. I would definitely use them again for another project.

I used Distinctive Remodeling to build my dream outdoor kitchen. Eddie was incredibly responsive to all my questions and did a terrific job on the design and install. I was not in the home yet and even at a distance, he completed the entire project flawlessly.

This was my 3rd project with Distinctive Remodeling and I would never use any other company for remodeling work in my home. The owner, Eddie Cassanave, and his team of skilled professionals do outstanding work on all fronts. This most recent project included two major updates to my family room area. We replaced a dated built in bookcase with custom wood cabintry to house a wine refrigerator and bar area. In that same living space we replaced an old tradtional fireplace and mantle with a new linear model with a floating mantle. Eddies team was able to help me create and execute my vision. They are responsive, professional, and deliver high quality results!

We loved all the people we worked with.Michelle was very helpful in making all my choices. She lead me to the backsplash I choose and I love it. I would never have imagined it would look like this if she had not shown me pictures of it. She always gave me all the time I needed and was there to answer any questions I had.Keith and Nick were both very professional and fun. They always kept me informed as to what was going on and who would be here. They always asked if I had any concerns or questions. We were almost sad to see the job completed because we wouldn’t be seeing them anymore. We would definitely ask for them on the next job we doAll of the trades were very good. Distinctive Remodeling was awesome! We did a kitchen addition and covered deck. They have certified kitchen designers who a assisted with our project from the beginning to the end! This included the plan/design and selection of cabinets, countertop, lighting, flooring, decking, appliances, and MORE! Project manager(s) were on site every day to oversee construction and other details and were readily available to answer questions. Our project took longer that expected, due to COVID-19 delays, but we are so pleased with our beautiful new kitchen and deck!

Distinctive Remodeling was referred to us by a neighbor who used them for a similar project; converting a screened deck into a 3 season sunroom with a natural gas fireplace. We interviewed multiple general contractors and Distinctive was the only one that didnt feel like a sales meeting. First, Eddie Casanave, the owner of Distinctive, met us for every meeting prior to the start of construction. Eddie never tried to push up the price of the scope, he understood our budget and made recommendations to keep us within that budget. He was very patient with us as we changed the scope of work numerous times.One of the most important things to us (in addition to quality workmanship) was working with a contractor who stands behind their work and Distinctive delivered! Early on in our project, the flooring that was installed turned out to be defective. The flooring manufacturer tried to get us to accept an unimpressive offer to settle things. Eddie made it clear to the manufacturer that this was NOT a homeowners problem. The manufacturer agreed to take out all the boards and replace with new ones...which again turned out to be defective. Ultimately, we decided to use a different flooring, which actually resulted in a credit back to us. You heard me correctly! Even with the floor being installed twice, Distinctive stood behind their work and passed none of the additional cost on to us. Even thought this wasnt their fault, they took ownership of the entire situation.Our project manager and assistant project manager, Keith and Nick, were a pleasure to work with. Their attention to detail made us feel like they were treating our project as if it were their own. On more than one occasion, Keith would suggest doing some extra trim out work that wasnt articulated in the contract, but he felt it was something they had to do to make things look exceptional.In the end, Distinctive delivered a beautiful 3 season sunroom where my wife and I can chillax in peace while the kids and their friends run around our house! I used Distinctive Remodeling for two complete bathroom remodels, wet bar in bonus room complete update and entire second floor was painted. I cannot say enough about the how easy and enjoyable the whole process was with Michelle and Mike as my main designer/project manager. The workmanship has been outstanding and I was thrilled at the warranty on their work. Every question was answered very quickly, the timeline was on schedule, the crews were respectful, easy to work with and did great work. Michelle had so many great ideas and Mike made them happen! I look forward and am excited to be working with Distinctive Remodeling again in the near future!

Distinctive remodeling originally remodeled three of our bathrooms a few years ago. They did such a great job that we came back to them for an extensive kitchen, wine cellar and office remodeling project which required structural modifications. They are easy to work with, always are looking to please you, and come back immediately if any issues arise. Their workmanship was so good that the projects won two STAR design awards. Hands down, we are 110% satisfied.

Last year my wife and I decided we had outgrown our kitchen.We were exploring different types of cooking and the limited counter space was making the preparation of larger items like brisket and ribs was a challenge. The number of kitchen gadgets we had were overwhelming our cabinets. We love cooking in the kitchen together and where we enjoyed this we were bumping into each other and reaching across each other.What made it more frustrating is there was a dining room adjacent to the kitchen that was primarily being used as an overflow space for kitchen items and random things from around the house.Looking at different local remodeling companies online, I liked the look of the projects I was seeing on the Distinctive Kitchen and Remodeling website. I reached out to them and a member of their team came out and asked my wife and I very specific questions about what we wanted out of our kitchen; what types of meals we liked to cook, the ages of our kids, am I right or left handed, what type of appliances were we looking to get.Over the next few months we worked with their team on the layout, picking out appliances, choosing the right cabinets, counter tops and lighting fixtures.All of the subcontractors were brought to our house when it came time to begin the actual work. We met each of them and they each explained their part of the process.We cannot express the exemplary work of the project manager assigned to our kitchen remodel. Every morning when I woke up at 5 a.m. there were test messages waiting for me letting me know what would accomplished on that day.the project designer was on scene checking in on the process as the project went through demolition to rebuilding.Now we are in our new kitchen. My wife and I have room to move and share time cooking together.This cohesive team brought the vision in our heads to life.This company works hand in hand to make sure this is the kitchen you want. They took an area that was too small and combined with a room of dead space to give us a kitchen we will be able to use for years.

If you want something done right and with great quality, Id highly recommend Distinctive Remodeling. They dont try to upsale you and find what the best product is for what you want to do. we had new flooring put in downstairs as well as new windows on our deck and collapsable doors from our living room to deck installed. It made our house into a whole new living experience.

If anyone can do it, Eddie Casanave can. I hired Eddie and his team to do a major remodel of an entire new kitchen which involved moving a load bearing wall among many other things. Since then I have also hired him to do 2 bathroom remodels. His expertise, integrity, responsiveness and professionalism are all top notch. It was important to me to have the utmost trust in the company and quality of work performed in my home. A worry free and great experience!

We can not say enough great things about Distinctive Remodeling. We selected them to build-out a third floor media room with a bathroom and bar area - they delivered and then some. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was amazing and the finished product is literally award-winning. The follow-up from Eddie is an added bonus. Very frustrating experience. I wasted 2 months of precious time of doing a small kitchen remodel with this company. After my inquiry on their website to be contacted, I didnt hear from anyone. Then after making a call, it took over a month and a few phone calls before Matt actually would call me back and come to our house to look at our project. That should have been my first red flag. Then after coming on the 10th it took until the 28th to just get a price. I had been told when evaluating the project that we were well under my budget but then 18 days later the price was $6,000.00 over my highest range of budget. After contacting him about the huge difference he just acted like he just didnt realize some things. I think the real problem was he didnt want to do the work and instead of being a professional and communicating that, he went way over my budget to technically run me off. It was for the best since I have already found others to do the work and save me a ton of money. So glad I didnt sign a contract with such a inconsiderate contractor. Beware because I let their rating of 5 allow me to waist time on someone so unprofessional. Being busy is one thing but being inconsiderate is another.

Distinctive Remodeling finished a room in our basement and we highly recommend their work. From Eddies initial visit to the quick estimate to the finished product, we are satisfied customers. His site supervisor was very responsive and his craftsmen & women arrived each day as scheduled. We were made aware of change order costs (all minor and at our request) quickly. DR worked well with the town on permits & inspections. Whats more - and were a stickler for this - they removed all debris and left the jobsite clean & tidy.Our project included framing, sheetrock, HVAC, paint, flooring, trim & electrical plus a finished storage closet.We will definitely use Distinctive Remodeling in the future.

I had to order Well-borne Cabinetry through Distinctive Remodeling to match a customers existing cabinetry. Stephanie helped me with my order and was extremely helpful in making sure everything was accounted for, and finding odd sized replacement doors for a customization. Unfortunately the cabinets came damaged, and one item was incorrectly labeled by the manufacturer. Not only did DR not cash my check until the issue was resolved, Stephanie helped me figure out the best way to facilitate the repairs and get me the materials I needed right away, which happened to be late on a Friday afternoon.. I am very appreciative of the Customer Service shown by Distinctive Remodeling and would not hesitate in working with them again in the future.

Excellent team and great follow up. I found Distinctive Remodeling at Craiglist. After a call, Joshua B. M called me back. He listened to my project carefully and explained in detail their remodeling process. Stephanie came to my house on time to meet with us. We spent time go over our project in detail and in drawing. She is very experienced and noticed everything that needs to be changed. Few days later, she provided a quotation to us. We have not decided to implement my project yet but I must say they are the best pre-sales team comparing to 2 other remodeling firms that I met.

Eddie Casanave and his team are excellent, especially his project team. Weve been working with Matt F. and hes top notch - prompt, precise, support organized and customer focused. Were close to being finished on our reno and love the process so far.
