Custom Renovatons built a wooden deck to solve a problem of water pooling, so the apparently untreated wooden supports they used rotted, as did the boards used to build the deck itself. It turns out the deck iis illegal in the part of Raleigh I live in, which a qualified contractor would have known. They built another structure at the same time, but all the materials used were shoddy, the work was way overpriced, and the construction workers changed all the time so I assume they were not well-paid . Beware of using this self-styled contractor..

10 years ago we entrusted a home office renovation to Chris and his crew and we were so pleased with the design insights, craftsmanship, competitive pricing, responsive communication, and attention to detail that we have been repeat customers ever since. Before too long we are going to end up living in the house the Chris (re)built.

I had the same experience with them (Chris Nipper). First, he asked some description of the work through email and when I ask him to give an estimate by personally look at the job, he responded rudely. These are the people who go out business first once the economy turns.
