I’m new to NC and have been looking for a good barber for over a year. He’s great! Best haircut I’ve had since I was in my 30s, and I’m 53 now. I wish I would have found him sooner!
My wife has been having Barbara cut and color her hair for many years...because she does such a great job. I got to know her by way of the odd visit when I would bring my wife for her appointment and then go do some guy stuff until she was finished. Once I decided to wait there... I found Barbara to be a delightful conversationalist. On a subsequent visit she offered to cut my hair while the color set for my wife. That was one of the best haircuts Ive ever had. More followed. And now its part of our normal schedule; when my wife has an appointment I go too and get my hair cut in that interlude. I watch Richard work as well and hes everything reported in the other review. This is a wonderful little shop populated by charming and professional perfectionists.
Ive been going to Richard Smith, my barber and owner of Admiral Barber Shop, for many years. I found my way to Richard after going to one of those walk-in places and coming home with a unnatural notch in my hair that couldnt be repaired. Admiral Barber Shop has three chairs, one for the ladies and one that has been empty ever since I can remember. Richard grew up in Raleigh and his father was a nationally award-winning barber. Richard comes by his perfectionism honestly so the haircut may take a little longer than other places, but you know you are looking the best possible when you leave. Its a nice place to relax before resuming my hectic day. Richard starts cutting hair early in the morning if you are lucky enough to get one of those appointments. Whenever your appointment, you might find yourself booked behind one of the Whos Who of Raleigh.
They left me shocked after I saw my hair after the cut. It was FRESHHHH
Great service
