I recently had a family situation that required a Bail Bondsman and not living in Raleigh I had no idea who to call. A friend recommended Amistad. I called and got an immediate response from Paul and even though he was out of the office he emailed me all the necessary paperwork within 5 mins. It was all e-sign so only took me a couple of minutes to fill it out and return it. Paul kept in constant contact with me letting me know he received the paperwork an was on the way to the Courthouse. I was called by a friend at 4:45am on June 21, 2015 that she had been incarcerated overnight at the Wake County detention center on Hammond rd. I began to reach out to bail bond agencies and the first two were unwilling to help out and came off as being very rude. The third agency I called was Amistad bail bonds. I was told that an agent would contact me shortly for details. Not five minutes later Mr. Romero called me and was able to meet me within 20 minutes. All in all, because of the quick work and professionalism of Mr. Romero and the Amistad agency, my friend was released less than three hours after I received her call.Job well done sir, and maam who took my initial call.You would do yourself a great service if your friend or loved one is ever in a bind in Wake County by calling Amistad first.

I called the number posted around 1030pm on 5/11/15 to bail my friend out of jail. I spoke with a woman who said she would call me back after checking on something. She never called back so I called her back and she said she would organize the paperwork and call me when she was on the way. I waited an hour for her to call back. I called her back at least 4 times with no response. Absolutely ridiculous. Dont waste your time with them if you have a loved one in jail. Time is precious in a situation like this.

Stepson arrested on failure to appear on Thanksgiving eve on or about 6pm. Got call from my wife at work, got home after 7 and calmed my wife. Received call from stepson at 7:43, found out situation and bond amount. Made call to Amistad at 7:58 and was put in touch with Warren Winston, a very nice person to deal with, over the course of 6 phone calls and an hour thirty mins of keeping me informed of ever step of the process, Warren had my stepson out.Thanks Warren and Amistad, from a stepfather who would have otherwise had a long Thanksgiving day with a hysterical wife.

My story is very interesting. You may want to read the whole review. I was arrested in the fall of 2017 for 2 failure to appear in court appearances that happened approx. 17 & 18 years ago for driving violations. My girlfriend called Amastad bail bonds to bail me out. Amastad advertise as low as 5%.She was charged 15% which is legal and I have no problem with that. She was charged an collateral fee of another 15% because Amastad said I was a high risk of not showing because of a number of failure to appear in court in the past. (Almost 20 years in the past) now it is up to 30%. Which may also be legal. Well Amastad arrested revoked my bond because the clerk of court says I missed a court date. I have been to every court date that I was told to me by the court. The fact of the matter is that Amastad could have given me a call and had me have my attorney have it stricken if I did indeed miss a court date instead they decided to arrest me. I feel it was handled this way to avoid giving my girlfriend the money she is due by law. I have never tried to hide from Amastad and have stayed in constant contact with them. Now I had pay another bondsman $600 and its going to cost thousands of $ in legal fees. My girlfriend was due a refund of $300 because legally Amastad said they would refund it when I finished all my court dates. There are a lot of other things that I am investigating such as possibly we should have never been charged the collateral because it is not a class C bond. The original bond was only $2000. $1000 for each 1. But I cant tell state it as fact right now. I really appreciate the service, propmptness, and professionalism I recieved from Amistad Bail Bonds. I called at 1am to get my friend out of jail on a 20k bond, and they agreed to do it. Ms. Romero met me at the jail and was very nice, professional, and cute by the way! They also did the bond for less than 10%. I would highly reccomend them to anybody in need of this service.

This is my real experience with AMISTAD and something not made up. My bond was really high and AMISTAD was the ONLY Bond company that would work with me. They had me out quicker than I thought possible, treated me very respectfully and best of all worked out payments that I could easily afford. All they asked of me was to show up for court, call them after the court date to keep them informed and make the low payments they set. Thats it. They dont hound or call you. As a matter of fact I call them just to say Thank you. Because of them Im home right now with my family instead of on that jailhouse bunk. They are without question THE Bonds company you want to use. The office is not a bail bond office it is an all state office omg felt so embarrass walk in and lazy says you here for the jail!!I was appauled at the people there speaking Spanish laughing about peoples mug pictures.Im Hispanic and was very embarrass. I then leave look up Raleigh bail bonds and omg its the same company under a different name.... At this point I went to Aggressive bail, very professional discreet and were actually a bonding company like the door says!!!!Watch out FAKE Advertising!!!!

I dont know why anyone would complain about there service . Guy was right away on my bond @ $1000 . Professional is a understatement to what my guy did for me . Try going to wake detention center without out some digits and see how far you get . I would recommend them to my family & friends 120% of the time .
