We are SO happy with our website. From the beginning Sprout really listened to what we wanted and took time to learn about our business. We really liked that from the first call you work with a project manager not a marketing person. We clicked right away with Christina, our program manager, who is terrific to work with. You can describe what you want in “English” and Sprout translates it into technology. We gave them a Word document that was an outline of the functionality we wanted and that was it - and they transformed it into a stunning and functional website. We wanted a site that was visually beautiful and compelling and they sure delivered.We used to have to rely on a programmer to make any changes to our old site. We no longer need a programmer to do it because of the easy to use back end interface they gave us for updating the site. We can have an idea about something we want to put on our website and have it posted in minutes. We make daily updates to our website so having this flexibility is critical. They trained us and we were off and running. It is so much fun to work with this site.One thing we didnt realize is the extent to which Sprout would take care of all the details of switching over from the old to new site. Unfortunately working with Sprout Media Labs was a colossal waste of $23,000. I started working with Sprint media labs in September of 2012. The project manager Christina was very helpful and always such a pleasure to work with. They did help create a nice website and for a time they were making a lot of progress in improving my rankings. The trouble began because of the Tactics the used to improve my rankings. They used a backlink strategy which was subsequently heavily penalized by Google. Almost overnight my rankings felt by 50 position points on all major words. Sprout Media Lab kept reassuring me that this was all normal and that they would get me to a respectable ranking. They never did. They kept on claiming that for my business, which is home cleaning, the search terms were hyper competitive and would take months to improve the rankings. I finally got fed up after spending 23,000 dollars and decided to go with another one person company in Feb of 2015. My new service providet started off by analyzing the website. He did make a lot of comments on how archaic setup was as well as the strategies employed. At first I thought he was just trying to toot his own horn. However within 3 months, he updated my website and started a very intense search engine optimization campaign. After 3 months of this effort, I am happy to say that I rank in the first page on 20 different terms. it seems the Sprout media labs really did not understand how to do search engine optimization. Not only did they spend $23,000 with him, I lost a whole bunch of revenue because my page was always rent somewhere on the 5th or 6th page of Google.
