I met Steve a few years ago him and his brother Jay awesome people. I can not find enough words to cover my business experience with these guys unbelievable service and knowledge of the music industry covering DJs to Big Bands. They are one of the last companies who custom build their speakers which compete and mostly out perform many well known brands of the industry. I have been DJing over 30 years and I have seen the changes of this business and when I found Creative Acoustics they took my Equipment and level of DJ knowledge to another level. I just purchased a full DJ setup and my entire setup was custom done very satisfied and look forward to doing my light package with Steve!!

Ive been a customer with Creative Acoustics for over 20 years, Ive developed a solid business relationship with Steve, his family, and all of his employees. Creative Acoustics is uniquely different from any other national music and audio store. The title of the store says it all Creative Acoustics this is a specialty business, they customize your specific business needs. Steve, Jay, and the rest of the crew are very professional, very helpful, detail orientated, and always go above and beyond to make me satisfied. I have no complaints whatsoever, they are number one in my book. When you talk to Steve or Jay on the phone or in person, they are very professional, they are experts in their field. Steve is the expert in audio/video and Jay is the expert in car audio installation. I highly recommend Creative Acoustics for any of your audio/visual needs, if there is a product they dont have they will find the right solution for you. They are a family business, when you first walk in they will treat you as a part of their family.

Good product / Horrible experience and staff. Needed to purchase a PA system for our neighborhood pool. After having to call back numerous times over a couple of weeks, finally received a quote. After finally making some adjustments to the quote to remove items that werent necessary, we accepted the quote and wanted to have the work done. I had to chase the sales person down for literally for a month to make sure that he knew we wanted to have the work done. Then for another another month to schedule a day for the install. And then the install became an issue because our job kept being pushed back for about 3 weeks. I called the store to try and speak with the owner to only find out that he was who I had been working with the whole time. The PA system has finally been installed and works great and the work done was clean. However, if I knew another company that did this work, I would have gone elsewhere. The amount of hassle it took to nail down the price, items to be used and then an firm install date was really not worth the trouble. You would think that with the economy the way it is and everyone needing work that they wouldnt ignore a $1900 sale.

They have always been extremely helpful to me. They will answer seemingly dumb questions over the phone. They arent elitists like some of the other stores in town and you get to do business with locals. Its a better experience than going online and having to guess.I first stopped in in the early 90s and theyve been helping me, off and on, since. Im not a regular, but they dont care. They are just nice. They also know their business. Ive never had a bad experience and they will hold items for you if you promise to come in later that day.I dont know anyone who works there or even who owns it, but I just dont understand these negative reviews. Thanks.

I’ve been going to these guys sporadically since the 1990’s. Most recently, I had the crossovers in a pair of vintage loudspeakers re-capped. They sound very sweet and handle the high power I throw at them with grace and finesse. More than pleased!

I know that many times the only people motivated to write a review happen to be the dissatisfied minority. In any case, I have to say that I have had many speakers repaired over a period of years and have had absolutely no problem with Creative Acoustics. 12, 15 and 18, reasonable prices, acceptable turnaround times and no problems with workmanship.

Had two sets of vintage JBLs repaired and I had one of the best experiences ever. Thomas not only gave new life to my classic speakers he went way above and beyond with extra touches. And a very fast turnaround time. If you want a new, sterile, plastic shopping environment and the people to go along with it, then you may not appreciate the old school ethics of this gem of a shop. Highly recommended!!!

When our JBL speakers started to sound funny we knew we had a problem, but also knew we would be hard pressed to find another set as good as they had been. We were referred to Creative Acoustics by our trusted electronics repair shop.Creative Acoustics repaired our speakers to better than new condition, at a very fair price, and within days of my drop off. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I thought this type of comprehensive repair service was no longer available, if it were, prohibitively expensive.Dont throw away irreplaceable stereo speakers and equipment, have it repaired by these great folks.... and check out the enormous showroom full of all the things they can do for you, check out the website photos!

Ive been coming to this business for about 30 years and have never had a bad experience! Ive spent thousands here, fom buying PA speakers and power amps, stage lighting, getting speakers reconed to microphones and cables.Steve is a pleasure to work with and is extremely knowledgeable. Mary and her husband always take the time to smile and see how I am doing. Josh and Thomas are the backbone in repairs. Larry could not do a better job with what he builds. Richard has the rentals down tight and makes the best cables Ive ever usedIve even had Jay and his team install car stereo speakers and an alarm system with no problems whatsoever, done quickly and correctly.I invite anyone to try these guys and stay local with Creative Acoustics.

I had some old Mitsubishi speakers given to me for free. I was ready to use them and the surround just crumbled into dust. A friend recommended this shop saying they could rebuild them, and they did! For $35 per 12 woofer, they look like new. And to my surprise they sound great! Still using these bad boys. Store is a bit disheveled looking though, I will admit.

This place is run by a bunch of spoiled brats who inherited a job because their dad started this business. They are rude and incompetent. I dropped off our sound system to be repaired and not only did they botch the repair which eventually ended in me having to buy a whole new system, the encounter was the single rudest experience I have EVER had at any retail store of any kind in my entire life. I am not exaggerating. Stay away from this place. They are a bunch of crooks!

I would not recommend this place. Avoid this place at all costs. I had the same experience as Kevin Chambers below, so I doubt I had an isolated experience.I found this place because they were an EV authorized repair shop. Convenient, since I have a vintage EV speaker than needed a recone.I dropped it off, and my name, phone number, and email was put on the back of the speaker. They said they would call me when it was done.A month later, no response. I called them, and they had no clue about my speaker, and told me to call back when a specific person was there. I called back the following day, and the person was clueless, couldnt find my speaker, and took my number to call me back. I never received a phone call.I called again a week or two later. The guy again told me that I needed to speak to Josh who was not available. I told him that Ive already not been called back. After about 2 minutes of looking he found my speaker and that it was done, but could not tell me the price of repair and that they would call me back. I never received a call back.I decided to drive in and just pick it up at this point. They grabbed my speaker and the price was less than expected. Thats cool.Okay, so I got it home and hooked it up. Theres still voice coil rub with the new cone. The speaker was obviously not re-coned correctly and the new voice coil is rubbing. Apparently they dont check their work. I should have just sent my boat anchor of a speaker into EV for repair, since I will now have to do that anyway. This place is an aesthetic dump, in a crap part of town, and their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. If management actually reads reviews to drive improvement into their business, which I doubt is the case at this point, heres what I would say:* Technology offers great ways to track open orders, status of completion, and track when customers have been followed-up with on status. Implement a robust tracking system for orders, and USE it. Be on-top of customer order status and proactively reach out when you are finished with their product.* Figure out a way to be accountable for returning phone calls, and empowering your staff to be able to speak on behalf of the status/price of other peoples work.* Re-Train your staff on how to re-cone a speaker.* Check your work when it is complete.* Your hours are inconvenient. Be open for some time outside of M-F business hours.

I have been working with the car audio guru Josh for the past two weeks in the re-coning and installing of a very expensive sub that I had blown several years ago and thought to use again and hands-down, you will not find better quality in worksmanship, price and most importantly customer service. I actually had to revisit the place twice after having difficulties in wiring and he wired me up and got my woofer to pound-Im pretty sure hell know who this is b/c of it. But its that patience and expertise that led me to write my first review.Bottom line: For anyone whos looking to buy and/or replace, dont pass up your opportunity to have these guys hook you up. You wont regret and youll definitely get more than you pay for.

Emailed via website to have someone contact me, they did and I went by one day to get a quote. Aaron helped me - all I needed was a new little stereo installed since it seems as if mine is just going bad. I liked the quote and called Aaron the next day to set an appointment. He was not available for the dates I requested and said he would call me back. That was 3 weeks ago. I put forth my time and effort to make this a simple job but evidently my installation is (monetarily) too small to mess with. So I am in the process of getting quotes from 3 other installers. I dont know how much longer this mom n pop shop will be in business with poor customer service.

I would give it no stars if possible. Dropped off an old speaker out of my 64 Fender Princeton Reverb to be reconed as the voice coil had come apart due to age. Took well over a month and several phone calls to finally get it back. When I got it home and tried to reinstall it back into the amp the holes on the gasket wasnt lined up with the holes in the frame of the speaker and the cone was hot glued on! You could tell because they didnt even bother to clean up the overflow! I dont know much about it but I do know that is NOT what is supposed to be used when professionally repairing a speaker. Also, the dust cover was about 5X bigger than the one that was originally installed. It sounded like absolute crap once I finally did get it back in and going, was breaking down at LEVEL 2 on the volume because the voice coil was hitting the magnet, obviously not lined up and gaped correctly (kinda expected that after seeing the hot glue but was hopeful). If you need one fixed, go ahead and ship it off to a professional as this business obviously doesnt have any working there. It was a total waste of $49 I could have spent elsewhere to have it done right.

HORRIBLE! Dropped off my JBL speaker, which is still under factory warranty on Jan. 16, called today (Feb 9th) to see if the amp has come back to which I was greeted with um..we havent shipped it yet. HORRIBLE Customer Service, no accountability and honestly a complete lack of knowledge. The store looks like a dump when you walk in it, and not only that, but their car audio section has equipment from 2-3 years ago! Find another place to get your work done!
