Great place to find resources and help if all kind ...
I used to love to stop at the Workforce Development to find resources available in Racine County to share w family and clients when I was working in Home Health. They have changed so much since COVID. I was in the area so I stopped in the other day. The doors are locked to the computer room.(semi understandble w COVID precautions). The infomationalpamphlets I would pick up in the past are no longer available per the receptionist were excellent but the person behind the desk didnt know what I was talking about. There is minimal information (25% less than last time I was there). They do has a list of all the temp agencies and 3 different lists of jobs available in Racine County.I asked about classes. The person just looked at me like I was an oddball. Example of classes they used to offer-Using Excel/Microsft Word, Interview/ Resume Preparation, Dressing for Success, Effective Communication.I hope they will go back to how they used to be. I think it is not fair to those who are homeless as they may not have a phone, internet, computer or printer. I have attached one of the useful pamphlets I foundAlso, the have a Police Officer there was more so intimidating than friendly. I have heard many homeless ppl used to hang out there as the homeless shelter has ppl leave for X at of hours a dayPlease do not interperate this review as completely negative. Many place are changing. Racines services are much better than Milwaukee. I reccomend calling them and talking to someone who is a specialist. They are very knowledgeable and will hopefully help you.
The staff was a big help. Not too busy to assist you.
They made everything I needed very quick and easy and the staff was very friendly!
Very helpful ☺️
The young lady at the desk was very help full.I needed to fax some papers 13 papers to be exact I was very grateful.
Staff are professional and helpful
Work force is a great place to look for a job, they have immense source for job seeking. The workers are generally nice. One person i would personally refer is Sean, i did not get the last name but he works in the job office part. He is extremely helpful and professional, a great attitude. I’m almost thinking he’s too good for that place !
The coffee shop is great in the first floor lobby. The information desk staff when I go in to get coffee always whether its the police officer or the person behind the desk greet you with a nice smile and can I help you. It is a much better place than the past welfare office and unemployment office of Racine County; it projects a more positive picture to whatever you go into the building for.
Needed help with my claim
Only some services are available inside but mostly its calling.
I tried to call and talk to somebody concerning employment. The recording said my call was not valid. Poor customer service. Now I will have to catch a bus to get my questions answered.
