So keep that in mind with any review you read, including this one.With that being said, the first time I rolled through to inquire about an oil change, I experienced two helpful attendees who were willing to give me their honest opinion on whether I needed an oil change, and being me, I asked both for their specific perspective. One seemed to be giving me the classic spiel oh this oils real dirty, uh oh, {concerned face} while the other was more soft spoken and earnest in telling me that, yes, while its dirty, that isnt exactly an indicator of your oil needing changing, and instructed I wait until the specified time. I went with his diagnoses.Mentioning this due to the fact I see management taking an active approach in reading reviews, but its not in any way all telling: I noticed the two techs were very rough with both my car and others in terms of closing the hood. They slammed mine down to where I had to specifically state that it was a bit too rough. I realize the hinges are built for force, but it was still too forceful for me.Anyhow, that slight concern aside...On return, I experienced four different individuals, all equally upbeat and willing to discuss any questions I had concerning my vehicle. I drive a very specific, sporty car, so Im a bit more interested in its operation, but a regular person shouldnt have too many questions, lest youre looking to be informed (which you should, but dont absolutely need to.)They completed the task within 20 minutes and I was off with a new filter and an engine full of the good stuff, leaving me confident that I made the right choice in deciding to take my car to a quick-serve oil servicer, which I had been having reservations towards up until that point.Would definitely recommend it, but, honestly, if you want to be COMPLETELY satisfied with the job, changing your own oil is one of the easiest and more intimate methods of getting to know your vehicle.Otherwise, this is a great alternative.Also, not for nothing, theres a Dunks next door in the instance you need a fix while you wait for your baby to be settled.

I was in need of an oil change and I am very particular as to what type of oil goes in the engine. I chose to use Valvoline because the service is quick and they were open at the time and I really like their full synthetic oil. This review is not about the service or the quality of their product. The crew that took care of my car did a top notch job. However, I wish the price of each type of oil change is listed on their website or on a readable sign before you enter the bay. I wasnt aware of how ridiculously expensive ($100!) the full synthetic oil change is until I pulled in and a technician underneath had already started to drain the old oil. Had I known about the price of that service beforehand, I would not have chosen Valvoline. The total cost was nearly double of what another place charges and that place uses top quality full synthetic Pennzoil. I had expected the cost to be comparable to other places or perhaps slightly higher (which I dont mind paying) but not nearly double! I should have gone to the dealership to do the oil change instead and it would still be significantly cheaper. Based on this experience, I dont think I will patronize this place again.

There service was fast and efficient. Got my oil changed, a new set of wipers were recommended and a new air filter which I took advantage of since I was there. Less stress for me on the road wondering if my car is functioning at optimum. All in all...a quick visit ...in and out. I was glad because I was able to take care of this after work because Valvoline in Quincy is open till 7pm.

Been getting my oil changed for awhile now with them and couldnt be more happy the service ive gotten. they really do their best to get you in and out as quick as possible. Also they dont try and force any unneeded parts your car might not need unlike the dealerships and such. Highly recommend using them!
I go to Valvoline often however lately it hasn’t been the best service. I literally waited a half hour then had to wait another 30 minutes before my oil was actually changed. I understand that there is a pandemic, but that does not mean you can’t communicate with customers about accurate wait times or about the service availability to be done.

The pricing for Valvoline services come down a lot over the years. Im content with the service they offer and pricing. That would be 4-5 stars on its own. Plus the employees dont hard upsell you anymore which is nice.What lost points was exclusively how they are during covid right now. They had about 6 employees crowded around a single car in the bay. No social distancing. Masks worn by all incorrectly. I get it. Its an auto body shop and is incredibly hot in the summer. But wearing the masks incorrectly puts both you and the customers at risk. Were in our cars, windows cracked, and no AC running because we were asked to cut the power to the vehicle. That means we cant reduce our exposure and truly have a contactless experience.

I have mix reviews about this place. It all depends who takes care of your car. Some of employees are friendly and will check everything for your car, some dont and they are really rude. Ive seen someone wasnt even wearing gloves when they were were with customers. Wish they can be more efficient
Best Valvoline that I have been to yet! Mark and Chris really took their time to explain what my car needed and why! I could tell that they weren’t about trying to sell me things that I didn’t need which is always my worry! They also explained to me other car related services that I had questions about! I was very appreciative of their kindness and helpfulness! I will only go to the Quincy Valvoline from now on!
This is only the 3rd time in 43 years on this planet I wrote a review. But after my experience recently I have too! I started using this store for oil change for about a year. 70% of the time no issues basic service. But recently I came with my new car and requested a Oil change and tire rotation. Drove the car in and it took the lower bay mechanic 15 mins to take the skin plate and plug out! Ive worked at shops back in the days and can tell when someone is a rookie. He had no confidence in what to do down there! I expressed this to the upper bay mechanic and he told me the guy was new. The upper bay guy had to go downstairs and do the job his self. Smh After waiting 25-30mins just for the oil change they then tell me they cant do the tire rotation because their lift wasnt working?!? Why not tell me this from the beginning so I dont waste my time and money? Im just gonna go to the dealership next time.
This was the second time coming here.. The 1st visit was t great, but I decided to try again.. This visit was worse, told me I had wrong oil in car, mind you.. thus place was last one to put oil in car..Found it very expensive but the issue I’m having now is I’m putting twice as much o in since the oil changeSeems like it’s empty all the time???This visit the only thing that was better is new managementThat is allI will not go backMore reasons than one.....very very unsatisfied

Dec 1st, 2019:Horrible service, the guys did not know the right type of the oil for my CR-V so I had to tell them. Then the guy overfilled the engine for 3/4 above max mark on the dip stick.As a result all gaskets of the engine leaked after I drove 50 miles.I came back and they drained the excess oil but later it turned out it was not enough and after cooling the engine the level was still 1/4 above the max mark. I came back to them on the next day to drain more but they refused to do anything saying the did enough on the previous day and if I am not happy I should call customer service. During my last visit I also found out that they poured the wrong type of oil into the engine (it was supposed to be 5W-30 but they used 5W-20). I knew what oil gun the guy was using on my car but did not see how it was labeled. On my last visit I took a close look at the label and sure enough, even I told the guy what type of oil I need he used a different type of his choice.I am not coming back to these guys ever again even I used their service before for 12 years.Update Dec 2nd, 2019:After opening up a claim I got a call from the store manager, Dan (I guess, his full name is Brandon). He is the person who drained the extra oil earlier.He politely told me that I was served according to the company standards, nothing was done wrong and when I asked how it was possible that the engine was overfilled he said that, most likely, I topped up the engine myself. I do not want to comment on this.Dan also surprised me saying that the oil I got was a synthetic blend, not full synthetic. This is a new turn becaise nobody let me know that and my invoice said full synthetic. In the end Dan told me that my claim is denied. I wonder how he got authority to resolve a claim that is opened up against his branch. It must have been done on a different level.I called customer service again, explained what just happened and soon I got a call from the regional manager George.I explained to him what happened one more time and he came up with an interesting idea about my engine. He said that there must be something wrong with the engine itself because after pouring in four quarts (which is the right volume for my car) the oil level is going above the max mark on the dip stick. To me it sounded like something is swollen inside of the engine that does not leave enough space for the oil.He did not come to the most obvious conclusion that the the tech who was serving my car simply overfill it. Nothing stopped him from pouring incorrect 5W-20 (instead of 5W-30).George offered me to visit a different branch to drain the oil, pour the right type that I wanted in the first place and what is listed into my invoice and measure the amount in quarts to make sure that there is nothing wrong with the engine.Before I do this I am going to get a second opinion from my mechanic in Weymouth and see if the engine gaskets would hold up without leaking if we bringing the oil to the right level and replace it with 5W-30 type.Update from Jan 22:My mechanic suggested to bring the oil level to normal, wash the engine from leaks then drive to see if leaks remain.Free oil change was set up for me by the regional manager at Valvoline Weymouth branch. They also failed to complete this simple task.I will be writing a separate negative review for them as well.
Service was impeccable, they made sure we were up to date with servicing our car. We didnt have to wait long and they made sure we were aware of what was going on every step of the way.
This place is horrible. I went to there for instant oil change. The staffs in that place were extremely rude. They tried to sell things to you all the time. If you say no, they would be mad and satirize you for the rest of the time. The one in charge over there was totally a jerk to his customers. Leave him and his garbage alone. Never go back to that place anymore.

Pulled up for an oil change and was told to leave because they dont have enough staff... Didnt ask why I was there or anything. I had never been turned away from a Valvoline for an oil change before... Not to mention I saw at least 4 people in the shop and there were only 2 cars... What gives Valvoline?

These guys convinced me to change the transmission fluid and the transmission blew a month after. I did some research and I shouldnt have let them convince me to do it. They said the shavings were in the oil, but the shavings helped extend my transmission according to 2 mechanics and multiple website forums. these guys will constantly spilled oil in the wrong spot and cost me $1,500 for a new transmission - they arent good or trustworthy
My only concern is they seem to be a little fast there, like when you change the oil you’re supposed to let it ALL drip out which can take up to ten minutes because it slows down at the end. They will help reset the maintenance light to refresh the oil life.

Called in about an oil change and I was treated like an idiot who was full of crap. I know what I was talking about regarding my 0W20 oil and how much I get it for and dudes bein argumentative and like there was no way in hell I got 0w20 at $22 (which I have). Yall need better customer service practices on the phone. P.s. its not Oh w 20 its Zero W 20 Havent used them before but after that conversation I wont be trying them.
