Great time fishing with Capt Sam. Sam put us on the bait in short order and my son reeled in the mackerel in droves. Caught quite a few Stripers because Capt. Sam is pro. He was a pleasure to fish with and very easy to chat with. On top of that he had the cleanest boat I’ve ever seen. I fully recommend this charter service and will go with them again for certain.

What a day. We caught 20 stripers 2 blue fish all in a 4 hour trip. To top it all off was a 40 inch striper. Thanks Capt Sam, always a pleasure. Cant wait for the Haddock trip.

Went out with capt sam on Wednesday aug 12 with wife and 2 daughters and we all had a great time . After landing a 49 inch striper as my first fish my wife and daughter landed 2 at the same time. Capt Sam was helping all of us out rigging the gear and letting us do the fishing. We did live bait and trolled and landed fish both ways . We saw a father and 4 kids out there fishing as well and heard one of the kids, maybe 5 years old, reeling one in and when it got to the boat they all yelled shark and took off. Lol. Capt Sam was able to get some pics of the kid getting the fish with his dad trying to help and keep 3 others under control and told the dad to look on his website he would post the pics for him to see. Good guy. Was good with me and my family and was good for others out doing the same thing .

Captain Sam is indeed the best option for a fishing charter near Boston. Not only did he accommodate us at the last minute, but he made sure my 11 year old daughter caught fish and had a blast. I will also say that he knows how and where to catch fish. While all other boats around us were using one type of bait fish, we used mackerel that we had caught earlier in the day. We caught 4 good size stripers...I noticed no other boats around us catching any. Sam knows exactly what he is doing and made sure we had a lot of fun too. Only charter in town as far as I am concerned!

Captain Sam puts you on the fish. He is not satisfied until you catch plenty of fish. He knows his way around the ocean. If you want to catch fish this is your man. I spent years surf casting this is whole new experience. Fish after fish so much fun!

I have been on a bunch of fishing charters and have even fished myself around the Quincy area for a few years now. Captain Sam is by far the best charter I have ever taken. I have been out with Sam five or six times in the past two years and am never disappointed. There are too many great stories to tell but for starters the boat is clean and very comfortable and seaworthy (You never know what you are going to get and I think this is an important point). Sam is very laidback and informative too whether it’s your first time out on the water or you are a seasoned veteran Sam is the best. Every time I have gone out with him I have a blast. He puts me on the fish almost instantly and I have caught some nice fat stripers that were a blast to reel in. The last one I took with Sam a few weeks ago every other cast was a striper. No exaggeration as a boat we caught well over 150 stripers. If you are looking for a great day on the water with an experienced friendly captain and want your arms to be tired from reeling in so many fish and keepers than SOS Charters is the way to go. Hands down the best and I would never book with anyone else after being out with Sam.

Therapy was the therapy I needed this week. Captain Sam knows his fishing and the area extremely well. He catches fish. I went out with Captain Sam two times this week and both times were awesome.First day I booked it was really rough waters. I have been charter fishing many times and never really get sea sick, but I did this time (5 foot swells). Didnt bring dramamine but always good to have if prone to any kind of motion sickness (just fyi for future bookers). Either way, I let Captain know and we went out to calmer waters to enjoy a full day catching stripers in local bays/harbors including Hull, Hingham, Boston, Quincy. It was awesome.Second trip was yesterday and was another blast. We caught many a mackerel and some pogies, but didnt get any stripers but not for lack of trying. Fishing is never guaranteed. You will leave with some great memories and a friend. I highly recommend this charter and will be booking again very soon for some Tuna. Thanks again Sam for a great time on my week off. C
