I showed up to my appointment to find Tino on the roof. He had to cancel as his electricity was out. He took my number and was going to call me when he was back in business. That never happened. A fun guy, but not professional.

The Barber Spot provide the best cut compare to other places I go to in Quincy. The place is clean, the owner is nice and friendly. The haircut is only 10-15 which is not bad, they give you the cleanest cut and really good line up. I say it worth every dollars.

I recently moved to Quincy from Iowa, where I had only gotten my haircuts from large franchises. After reading reviews of places in the area, I decided to go to The Barber Spot rather than a large franchise and it was one of the best decisions Ive made since moving here. My barber was Tino and he did an amazing job. I can honestly say its the best haircut I have ever gotten. Like all of the other reviews say, this is a great barber shop with friendly and talented barbers who make you feel comfortable and want their customers to look their best.

The Barber Spot is one of the best barbershops around. Being new to the area, I saw a few barbershops in the area but Im definitely making the Barber Spot my new joint. I stopped in and Tino gave me a better cut than I could ask for. Hes an amazing barber and good people.

I will admit first and foremost that the actual haircut and experience is at a level 4, but due to several technical errors Ive deducted stars.The main issue I have is timeliness, this is a huge issue for me and should be for anyone if you work or dont need/want to spend hours at a shop. The opening time says 10AM which they should promptly change to 12-12:30, because Ive made quite a few 11:30 appointments (to give them the opportunity to set up) that have started way later than scheduled. Everyone waits in a barber shop but this is unprofessional.My other issue is cleanliness, hair gets on the floor obviously. But when your establishment starts to look run down and no longer smells like a barbershop, its time to step up your game.Like I said before, the cuts are good. I am not doubting their skill but the level of proffessionalism is seriously lacking. If you dont mind those things, go check them out. Im going to stick to being a walk-in customer. Its not like the schedule is being checked anyway.

Worst hair cut i have ever got in my life. The guy(Tino) never listens to what you want and he does the cut in his own way which ends up in disaster. Even though specifically mentioned many times about how i want, he never respected it and did it in his own way. Salon itself is very unclean and doesnt have parking.Its not worth the try and money(25-30$). Giving that one star as couldnt post otherwise.

Tino isnt just a barber, hes an artist. He doesnt rush through your cut to get to the next client., but takes his time and makes sure your hair looks fantastic when you get out of that chair. Hes a pro with the straight razor, too -- my beard lines have never looked so tight.The shop has a great atmosphere: everyone is friendly and theres plenty of comfortable seating. I really feel at home chatting with the barbers and other customers and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome.Currently undergoing a few renovations (November 2013), the shop is clean and spacious, and only promises to get even better once theyve finished reorganizing. Tino is the man. There is a reason why there is literally not ONE single review less than perfect on here yonder. I came in and asked for the funky-fresh. What I received was precisely the funky-fresh and it looked bomb-digiddy! If you happen to like upbeat happy music, youll be smiling for sure. The Barber is just the real deal.

Tino seemed like a nice guy and we had a good conversation, but he gave my the worst haircut of my life. He completely ignored what I asked for. Asked for a 4 on the sides and he used a 2 and cut the top of my hair with like 3 random cuts using just regular orange handled scissors and not barber shears. Also decided to wash my hair and face without asking and rubbed oil all over my face and put an absurd amount of wax in my hair, again without asking. Came out looking like a greaser that drunkenly decided to cut his own hair. Had to go home and wash all the grease out of my hair and off my face and get it fixed by another barber. Also charged the outrageous price of 35$ for what should have been a simple haircut. I would HIGHLY recommend going somewhere else.

Music was good, he was nice guy, interesting talks.....But my hair cut was not that great, especially mentioned not to touch or trim beard, mustache as well. However he did tried to trim and finally it was not perfect became awkward, then I had no other choice than shave & remove mustache completely after reaching home....Its little expensive too....

The barber spot is an experience, not just a haircut. I went there for the first time on Sunday, and it was the most relaxing haircut Ive ever had. I left there feeling refreshed, and with a great angled fringe on my head.The place is old school, but whoever said that its dirty and smelly is downright lying. IF anything, with all the hot sauce (massage oil) that Tino uses, it smells more like a perfume oil shop, rather than a barbershop.I highly recommend Tino, and will be going back to him again!

Had bad experience at this Salon. There is only one guy at the saloon who is Tino and he is very disrespectful towards customer words. For instance, i asked him not to touch beard or mustache before he started anything. Without a notice he trimmed off the beard and said its not looking good and thats the reason he had to do that. I was about to grow my beard but he trimmed it off without a notice. Other thing is i mentioned clearly about what kind of haircut i want and he just did in the opposite way for which im totally upset.

Best haircut Ive ever had! Tino takes the time to focus on your whole face. He begins with a scalp and face massage using oils and lotions to smoothen your skin! He pays great attention to detail and does and shampoo and wash at the end. He accepts credit cards (great as I never carry cash) and allows appointment setups online. Hes a great guy to vibe with as well. I live in NJ but when Im in town, I make sure to get a cut from Tino.

When you move to a new city it takes some time--a few episodes of trial and error or trial and acceptable--to find a barber who cuts well and with whom you are at ease. On top of that, the surroundings have to be clean (I think the state requires that but some shops dont seem to know!), and even better, inviting, with cool music and sensible conversation. If you move to Greater Boston, or if you are a resident of Quincy, Dorchester or nearby areas, check out the Barber Spot. Tino and gang are among the best in the region. I have lived in several cities and dont take this lightly. The barbers are true experts and treat you like you are a prized client--every time. After moving to the area it took me a couple of tries to find this place. Let me save you the trial and error part. I have been getting a haircut with Tino and these guys for the past half year and I must say that I have always been satisfied with the service and attention to detail. When I found out that their shop burned down I was devastated to the point where I did not get a haircut anywhere else for a month. I was a mess! haha I was in desperate need of clean up that I almost lost hope. One day I just checked their website in hopes of finding a new location after their sudden hiatus and to my luck they were back in action at 186 W Squantum St. I will follow these guys to the ends of the Earth. Its a new year and a new start for them and I wish them all the success! I have no doubts that they will bounce back especially with an already established loyal customer base. If your not a regular customer there, dont tell him. He will distinctly mess your haircut up, especially if your not from the north Quincy area. He did it to me with no hesitation. Eff this dude Tino and his worthless shop. Go elsewhere.

I been following this barber Tino for a few years now. We lost contact over the years but recently ran into each other. I came all the way from Brockton just to get a haircut from him. I highly recommend if your in the area stop by or even if your not in the area it is definitely worth the commute.

Came into the shop, loved the vibes, was hoping to get a high bald fade to impress my girlfriend. The barber gave me a fohawk, and she hated the cut. I went on the barebers thebarberspot Instagram to see the styles he does and realized all he can do is that style. Moral of the story do research on a barber before you go to one!

This was my first time going to The Barber Spot. All three barbers (Naz, Luis, & Tino) are more like your lost childhood friends. They treat you very nicely the moment you enter the door. The environment at this place is not like other Barber shops where you go in, get a haircut, and leave. All 3 of these excellent skillful barbers take time to talking to you. I had my haircut done by Naz. He was very friendly. No other Barber has ever asked me for my name where Naz actually did and introduce himself to me even though the shop was busy and took time in getting my haircut proper. I had asked him for advice because I was trying to do a new style and he helped me choose a design and I loved my haircut. I highly recommend this place to people who move to Boston or in the area. The shop is very easy to get to via the T. I will be going back to them!

Best lineup Ive gotten in a long time

If you havent been here before, you should definitely give this place a try. They give amazing haircuts with attention to detail. The barbers here take their time and really make sure you get a clean fresh cut.Mens cuts are just $15 and they also do line ups for just $8. Cant beat that.The location is also very convenient just a few minutes walk from the Wollaston train station.The shop is very clean, there are couches and magazines as well as Wi-Fi so you can rest in style while waiting if its busy or call ahead they do appointments.Ive been coming here for six months now and have nothing but good things to say about this place.

THE ONLY SPOT IN WOLLASTON FOR A PROPER CUT.Tino can wreck it when on them clippers. I havent found a place since the Russians in ny queens that can give a full service cut, shave, wash and style. I just got a regular fade and he edged me up and he went above and beyond to get it right.He takes all the time in the world to get you the perfect cut. The shop is in a great spot just steps from the Wollaston T stop and the price is right for only $15. The old school chairs are mad comfortable as I found myself nodding off with the melodic sound system.I only waited for a minute to get cut but I feel bad for the homie waiting over 30 for his next. Perhaps the overkill on pics after the cut were attributed to this, but I understand his need to document his handiwork to get the word out about the best cut in the area. I will def keep coming back!

Ok almost every review here is fake. This is not a good place. The barber shop is barely equipped with right tools. They dont have the right knowledge and the guy didnt even knew what services they offer. The haircut I got was really bad. And the barber didnt knew what he was doing.
