Signed my daughter up for BJJ. Then she wanted to add Taekwondo. Pinnacle Martial arts has given my daughter confidence, self discipline and friendships. She truly enjoys every class, learns a lot quickly and then practices on me at home. I also signed up for BJJ and my wife does HIIT classes and kickboxing. This is a place the whole family can enjoy! I recommend every child should learn a martial art.

This place is awesome! My 6yo son and I started Jiu-Jitsu about 6 months ago and I couldnt be happier with the results. I would absolutely destroy my 6-month-ago self. I only wish I wouldve started sooner.

My daughter who recently turned 7 has now attended two classes & absolutely loved it. She was a little bummed out when I told her they were closed for Veterans Day- as she was wanting to go for the third day in a row. She now eagerly awaits class this evening. From our experience thus far Pinnacle has done a great job teaching & demonstrating to their students what they are working on. They welcomed my daughter-making her comfortable and a part of class. They take the time and effort working with students- both individually and as a whole. Helping them improve & have a clearer understanding.About pricing- I called around to multiple locations in the area that offer childrens jujitsu before enrolling my daughter at Pinnacle. I made sure their prices were reasonable. Pinnacles cost does not differ much from other MMA schools around town. Except Pinnacle does offer a trail period for under $30- for two weeks your child can attend any of their classes. Then you can decide what classes fit best for you & your family. Uniform is even included in the price. After visting multiple gyms offering childrens jujitsu in/around Puyallup. We decided Pinnacle was what we were looking for- a place my daughter would feel comfortable, confident, & have the best overall experience.

Probably one of the best decisions Ive ever made for my oldest son. Hes not only 100% more confident, but also more focused in school. Signed myself up 10 months ago, and is now what I look forward to every week.

The staff at this gym are fantastic. Since the whole covid-19 shutdown kicked off they have been putting in 1000000% effort to keep the kids active in training on daily zoom classes, FB live videos, instructional content, etc. they have gone the extra mile and then another ten. 10/10 all day. If you want your child to learn discipline, respect, confidence, defensive arts, and positive attitude this is the place to go.

My 4 year old son just finished his 2 week trial, although we are going to hold off for a couple months, the reason is soley because I feel my son isnt quite ready, I wanted to write about our experience! We really loved the Jujitzu class(but were able to try both classes during our trial), Master Larson showed extreme patience with my son and all of the other students. The front desk receptionist that, many of the negative reviews are about, is no longer there. My son has continued to ask if he has ninja class almost daily. He is very shy and I saw him breaking out of his shell after just a few classes. I highly recommend Pinnacle Martial Arts to anyone looking for a great studio.

Beware of cancellation policy!! Instructor/facility was all good until we went to cancel due to relocation. Spoke to lady at the front in May about cancelling and she failed to mention it’ll require 30 days or else they will still take payment for the following month. All she said was to send an email. Being unaware of the timeframe, I sent an email on June 3rd about cancelling and that’s when I was informed we needed 30 days advance notice or else they still take payment for July even though we will no longer be in town and be able to utilize the month we paid for.

I am a Tae Kwondo Black Belt with 23 years of experience with competing and instructing, but my child does not learn as well from myself as he does with Master Hubbard and Master Larson, who has way more patience than I have. My son has always been the type of child who is glued to his electronics and I wanted him to do more physical activities. Pinnacle Martial Arts had a great introductory class and fee, only $29 for two weeks as many classes as you want to attend! You cannot beat that for just trying it out. Today, my son only asks when can he attend again, hardly touches his electronics, but rather practices what he learns in class. I work with him at home and now he is more focused with instruction and tries harder to perfect his technique. I would not only recommend Pinnacle Martial Arts to anyone, I am considering training there myself.

The instructors at Pinnacle martial arts are phenomenal. First I am so thankful for the transformation in my son. We got him started on the 6 week promotion deal they have and within a few weeks we all saw a huge change he had so much confidence and pride in himself that we hadnt seen in him for a long time. He didnt just say mom am going to be better he did it. He loves it so much he said mom I will give up my allowance if I can keep coming here.(no joke that came out of my 6 year old) It didnt stop there his grades improved. My sons teacher said what ever you are doing please keep it up its like he is a different kid and has improved so much that there really is nothing that he needs to work on. I mean what parent doesnt want to hear that coming from their kids teacher. Worth every penny.I also go to there kickboxing class and it Awesome and I am not in good shape or coordinated honestly am a total spa but the people there have never made me feel bad ever they are always been nothing but supportive and I feel stronger after every class I love it.

This place is clean, beautiful and the atmosphere is just amazing. The instructors are great but more than anything they are incredible with the kids. The personal care and training to each kid within the class is outstanding. Finding this place for my kid is something that makes me proud because i see how my kid enjoys it and respect the art and the sport just within a few weeks doing this.

Way too expensive. Average cost of Brazilian jiu jitsu is $100-$150. The best, most renowned schools in the country with top instruction and top facilities cost about $100 more and are located in places like San Diego, LA and NYC. This school, in Puyallup, WA, wants $190 a month for kids and adults. $190 for kids classes? Thats an insane cost for kids classes. Even the $150 for 2 classes a week is too much, and at the high end of what an unlimited adult membership should cost. Plus another $90 startup fee. No military discounts either, which is also pretty unheard of for jiu jitsu.

First off Mr. Hubbard is an incredible instructor and kept us there for as long as we were. But the quality has went down over the years. Not anymore than one adult teacher per class of over 30-40 students, but kids who are at higher ranks will watch and correct your childrens moves instead of paying another qualified adult. This leaves the instructor spread very thin, regardless of the owner announcing to parents they would be hiring another, it never happend. They have specials on Groupon regularly which just brings more kids in permanently but not more instructors. The confidence and discipline isn’t instilled like it was prior bc their isn’t enough attention to the children unless they’re part of the “competition team” which cost extra. The owner didn’t bat an eye when my child who’s been a member 5 years was leaving, bc he DOESNT ACTUALLY care, regardless of the work my son has put in on those mats. Let’s keep in mind this guy preaches “confidence and respect” while him-someone my son looks up to just knocked his self esteem down saying we should go elsewhere if we weren’t happy. If anything he should’ve thanked him for attending his studio and learning his skills thereand encouraged him to make it to black belt since he is so close, instead we had an unprofessional meeting at the front desk (when we said we had some quality questions) while my son was listening to it all and left upset. What a role model. Get an office with a table to address these issues privately. When addressed with quality issues, my “delinquent”bill was brought up multiple times and the studio issues weren’t addressed (They also tried to pull my money from a no longer valid card 7 times when my account was on hold for the month of June and my child didn’t attend once and i cleared it prior with the front desk) keep in mind my bill was paid per month with late fees attached when requested, and if it wasn’t he should’ve called to address the problem at the time as that’s good business practice. If you want good customer service this isn’t the place to go..Theyll talk about how they don’t have much money coming in bc they’re a small studio and not about that. Over 350 students x monthly tuition sounds like MORE than enough to hire another instructor, do the math at $125 per kid it’s inexcusable. I complimented this company so much in the beginning (at one point the owner thanked me for all the praise with movie tickets) and now feel pushed out when a complaint surfaces. Sad to part ways but excited for my son to be pumped about martial arts again and not getting forgotten in the crowd of children bc that’s what fills their pockets. 5 years and over 7k later I will be happy to take my “delinquent” paying self somewhere else. ✌️This place is Unprofessional, full of drama and a female owner who’s entitled with a nasty attitude.

From young to old, if you are looking to better your health, get in shape, or just try something new, PMA is the place to be! Always a positive atmosphere and great training and encouragement from the instructors. I have been participating in the Fitness Kickboxing class 2x a week for the last 4 months. I have lost a few inches from my chest and waist as well as a double digit weight loss. I have not felt or looked this great in a very long time, and my wife seems to agree! ;-)
