Laurie Price did an excellent job doing our taxes. I feared that I had made a big error (for the first time ever) and she was very good at reassuring me that we could fix it if I did. It turned out that there was no error but Laurie was so reassuring and helped to put me at ease.

I filed my taxes with Robin last year (2016 tax year) and needed some information from that year. I made a phone call and was told Robin was with someone at the moment (at 4pm) and she would call me after. I called back at 6pm thinking maybe she didnt have the correct phone number or something and was told that she was still with the same people. Another hour and a half goes by and I call at 7:30pm. The receptionist woman, Michelle (and earlier might have been Jodie I think), answered and said Robin has left for the day and can give me a call tomorrow. I asked her why she didnt call me after her meeting was over before and she said because she was too busy. It would have been nice to hear back at least letting me know Ill get a call tomorrow or something.The receptionist got my information down again and said Robin will call you back tomorrow and I started saying Okay, I also have another question maybe you could answer... and I hear the phone hang up.Unfortunately this was too rude not to report and I am very unsatisfied with the service I got today. I would never recommend using these people as they do not know the first thing about customer service.Just file your own taxes for free on IRS.gov

Paid over $100 for something a child could have done.THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF!USE FREE ONLINE SERVICESi only used H&R block to get an advance and was approved in the store but later denied via text message.Dont waste your time.

Agent has a great knowledge of the business. We get a complete explanation of how our taxes were filed. She took as much time that was needed and we were not rushed. She also gave us a lot of tips on how we can save more money.

We have been H & R Block customers for many years until today. Received a phone call to confirm our appointment on 2/28/19 at 4:30. Neither of us remember making an appointment. I called to see who had made the appointment and they could not confirm. Said we probably made the appointment a year ago when we there for our last tax return preparation. I think not. When I asked to move the appointment later in the evening the receptionist was not listening to my responses to her questions. She kept repeating questions of which I answered promptly. I was made to feel I was insignificant and I promptly cancelled the appointment. We will prepare our tax returns ourselves this year. Thanks H & R Block for saving us money this year. Off to Staples to purchase Tax Turbo or prepare free on line.

Convenient, professional and friendly service

H & R program is so difficult that staff have trouble understanding it. Then long waits for tech support, that have the same issue of the comprehension of the same program. This is the first year using a different h&r block preparer in the last 10 or so year. Our master preparer that made it a great experience (Keith Rockwell) has retired.So for this new office over all, long waits, inexperienced staff, gloomy room, high prices with nickel/dime extra charges and dramatic refund change not much explanation. I would recommend trying a different professional preparation service.

This was my first experience with H&R Block, and its interesting that the person who referred me to them was a TurboTax representative who could not help with my issues. Dont let these ppl do your taxes...they runied mine. Even after I got a letter from IRS. Because of a error they did. And went back in the store and made a appointment..come back again and they still didnt help in and out in 4mins and paid for the protection plan simple taxes normal single guy no kids and they still f me....not saying h&r block in general just the one in punta Gorda! Do dont do it
