Deliver my packages. I’m less that the half mile round trip distance limit to my mailbox.Stop leaving them on the side of a four lane highway. Stop making me come all the way to the post office to pickup my packages. My packages and my neighbors packages are blowing into the highway and getting hit by traffic.No other delivery service has this problem. Fedex, UPS, DHL, Prime etc… USPS is the only one that can’t seem to deliver packages.
I just want to comment on my experience as a letter carrier working in Punta Gorda. Im a 41 year veteran employee and I have the best Customers! I enjoy serving my route everyday and getting to interact with the public. I feel good when I can help solve a problem or suggest a better way to approach something. Just the everyday smiles and waves I get leave me feeling rewarded at the end of the day. Im a proud USPS employee!
Every employee is exceptionally courteous and helpful. They go over and beyond. I have used this post office since 2014. I live in Port Charlotte but chose this location in Punta Gorda because of the employees.
This review is for the postal service in general, the people at the Punta Gorda branch are always friendly and helpful. Dont waist your money on priority Shipping, my package left 5 days ago and all tracking says is it will be late. Well I could figure that out all by myself. This is becoming a pattern for them, as this happens to me pretty often. Im pretty over the USPS and will be using other services in the future.
I had a package sent out to an address in Port Charlotte FL and when it delivered on the site it showed Punta Gorda FL, same zipcode... I looked it up on the map and its quite different on the map but what bothers me most is that the package wasnt received by the person and yet it shows delivered in mailbox.. Ive called and Im yet to hear a reply please this is bad real bad

Thank you to each one of the postal workers! Every one I encountered at the service desk was efficient and very helpful! I have been in there three times in 2 weeks with various different needs for home and work. Each time they are cheerful and pleasant, even though a couple of time, I had an odd size package! Each one went out of their way to suggest the best way to mail. Great team!
Fast and friendly service. With the holiday rush in mind they have lots of flat rate boxes and an attended kiosk for credit card purchases. For the post office, 5 stars!

We have a business that requires packages to be picked up just about daily; 3 weeks ago Saturday, arranged for a pick-up and no one came...last Saturday, the same thing. Called yesterday to complain about Saturday and they said there were subs on and maybe they werent trained to pick-up (really?) We again arranged for pick up today, ANOTHER no show, its 5:30 pm and we have to run to the 41 location before 6pm! If you offer a service, you should follow through. Your mismanagement of the Postal system is affecting other businesss.

We moved to Punta Gorda 5 months ago. In just that time, our mortgage bill for Ohio has not been delivered (even though the address is right) twice! and our mortgage bill for this home has not been delivered twice! and our Home Depot bill has not been delivered 3 times! All in 5 months. These are not discretionary bills. Somebody needs to shape up and get back to work.
I arrived with 11 heavy boxes of media mail (packed in my van) and with back and neck problems, could not carry them into the P.O. An employee, named Kris, came out to my van and loaded them into a bin on wheels (2 trips) and then lifted each to weigh for shipping. She had just prior been verbally abused by another patron who even cussed at her. Yet, Kris did a great job and we chatted as she totaled up the amount for shipping. She was not only professional (and strong!), but a very nice and good person. I appreciate her help so much.... she was my angel on an otherwise frustrating and discouraging time in my life. Thank you, Kris!!!!

This post office is great! It is very clean inside. The temperature is just right. The parking lot can fit the cars, but there is a lot of backing up and pulling in--easy to get into a fender bender. Constantly having mail mis delivered. Or the drivers are to lazy to get out of truck and walk package to door. They will leave it by the road on top of mailbox. When Ive went inside to track a lost package it was like dealing with uneducated dropouts.
Everyone Ive ever dealt with has been extremely pleasant and efficient. During season there can be long lines but they move quickly and everyone behind the counter is friendly. I think they do a remarkable job. Best post office Ive ever visited.
Rude supervisory hung up on me intentionally and I dont complain often but have had to with many federal violations occuring. Our delivery driver leaves packages that have often been stolen in our mail room causing theft to occur. This package today showed delivered and on my dashboard but told it was ultimately delivered to another correct address. How is this possible? Im not sure.... But even with multiple box mailroom deliveries should be made to the recipient. Also the weekly coupons delivered to the recipients boxes not left in a bin to pick thru I know that the advisers pay for these to go in the mailbox! By the way my husband has delivered mail for 15 years.

I have had two lost packages for almost two weeks now! I have called numerous times to figure out what is going on. I am having no luck. First time I called the lady who answered, who was supposed to be supervisor, was very rude and treated me like I was lying about my packages being lost. Mind you they said delivered but clearly I didnt receive these packages, so why else would I be calling? She took my information and told me she would get back with me. Days went by, then the weekend. Now its Monday! I called and spoke with a new supervisor, the lady from last week no longer works there now? This guy seemed to find my packages and took my info down. No call back and have tried calling everyday since. Its now Wednesday. What is going on? I work full time and dont have time to come in, so when people call, especially with an issue, I should be able to reach and talk to someone. I now have packages floating around and have no one to help me! I have also had mail sent to the wrong people over several months. Im very upset and Im considering contacting anyone higher up! The employees need to get there act together, or find new people who can excel in customer service and are willing to help!Would like to add to the above comment, that a very nice lady answered the phone today and told me she would personally call me back today about the issue! Thank you!!! Maybe Ill actually get some answers!
Cant believe the negative reviews. have been using this PO for 4 years 2-3 times a week. Never had bad experience. GREAT EMPLOYEES. Yes. there are lines sometimes, but they are created by inexperienced mailers. Maybe you negative reviewers need an attitude adjustment.
I have lived in Punta Gorda for almost ten years and about 6 years at my current address. I live at a Resident Owned MHP on Taylor Road. Whomever delivers the mail there does a terrible job. My mail has been lost and sent back as undeliverable when the address was EXACTLY correct and I paid extra because it was an overseas mailing from England These people do not do their jobs - they have stuffed packages into my small mailbox to the point that I could hardly get it out - when there were large key boxes available to put packages in that too large. NO packages should be put into regular mailboxes !!! This is only a sampling of what a bad job these mail carriers are doing. I complained to Punta Gorda main office and I might as well have been talking to a wall.
Ive been using this post office for 13 years and it has always been a most challenging experience....starting with the parking lot! There is only one very kind helpful smiling employee in there..Irene I think is her name...I wait for her if I can. Most of the time I print and pay for my shipping labels online and buy my stamps at Winn Dixie to save myself the grief.
After finally getting through to the post office I was connected to a very nice lady named Gail would located my lost package and actually called me back to let me know it was found and that it would be delivered today! I would have given a 5 star rating but it took several attempts to get through to speak to a human
Ive always found each and every one of the clerks most helpful, friendly and cheerful. They do a marvelous job of moving the customers through on busy holidays, and after during these stressful hours, they stay cheerful and helpful. Best customer service Ive ever seen in a post office. People who left the negative reviews must have negative attitudes and/or got up on the wrong side of the bed.

The lady who answered the phone this morning was rude and condescending. She cut me off with my first sentence and used a rude tone. I have a package that says delivered but I do not have it. I live in a community where all the mailboxes are centrally located with keys for each box. She then began to tell me that I first have to find the key, then find the correct box and if they key doesnt fit then I have to try another box Really?! The problem is not my ability to match a key with the box but that I do not have a key. I had to ask her why she was speaking to me the way she was when I was only trying to have a conversation. I told her multiple times I wasnt mad at her or the carrier and I was just trying to find my package. She acted as though I was annoying her and as though she didnt have time for me. I wish I got her name. I generally try and be nice to people even when they are being the way she was.... but she made it difficult.

One things first. They lost my package and then when I ask them to located for it they said it’s almost impossible to find because it’s like finding a needle in a haystack like what the heck does that mean that you have millions of lost packages? How could you guys stay in business for so long? And their supervisor that I spoke with was so unprofessional I wonder how she got promote that far. I’m done wing usps won’t be back

I LOVE PG P.O.!!! They are helpful, funny interested, timely, cordial. You get what you give, folks; Why are you complaining about free delivery service? UPS and FED EX cost a fortune to mail 1 letter. We have the cheapest postage in the world. Go complain about Congress, but not my P.O.
We have had problems with mail being lost in the mail. Important items like bills and checks simply didnt arrive. This has been very upsetting.The response from the post office was not helpful - they said the mail carrier would look around for them. Also, mail on our street is frequently delivered to the wrong address - we have to exchange with neighbors. We dont know what to do to get good service.
Dont know who I spoke with but she talked to me like I was some idiot. Didnt give me a chance to explain my situation which would have helped to clear up the misunderstanding. I do not like to be talked down to. They need to put kinder people on the phones or train who they already have to be more considerate and patient. Guess conditions are not very good in the US Post Office, the employees are angry. Well, one that I know of. Deserves zero stars.

Good service considering so close to Christmas
I am only giving a single star because there is NOTHING LESS with which to rate this organization. I live in a community that has a central location for all mail boxes In the past two weeks, we have either [1] had to deliver mail to our neighbors - not necessarily those nearby, and [2] today, when I opened my box, there was a package crammed inside that I was unable to get out. The only way I was able to get the contents was to cut apart the carton with my car key and pull out the contents. Evidently, the sender used a carton of much better quality than the level of service provided by USPS, because the carton is still in there! As far as mis-deliveries, I can appreciate an occasional item being placed in the wrong box, but almost a dozen pieces - whether delivered by me to my neighbors or them to me, within a two-week period is a bit less that professional level of service. These are definitely not isolated incidents - aside from the abovce, his generally indifferent or outright nasty response to anyone asking a question is totally unacceptable - but then he is a member of a quasi-government agency.
I have always been treated with respect by everyone at this post office. Of course, I return the favor....

I have always had a pleasant experience with every worker I have come across at this branch of the USPO. Never had any issues with courtesy, they have all been nice, and gone out of their way for me and for other customers.
Have not been receiving my mail. Tried to call post office and was put on hold with an hour and 55 minute wait time. Hard to believe they are that busy. Finally had to leave a note in the mailbox for my carrier to deliver my mail. Having a package reshipped for the third time. Hope I finally get what I ordered.
My package was stolen frm this post office on 2 25 on a Sunday smh talkin bout an issue wit the adress i go in on 26th to b told that there an issue wit adress but whn they pull up adress its the same n very correct tyn they tell me we will call u whn we find it still havent got a call yet, terrible we put our trust in the USPS to deliver our packages n packages r getting stolen right frm the post office

I dont believe in sugarcoating any thing because were neighbors or Im friend wirh you. Very rude customer service. No need to be so loud and let everyone in my business. I wouldnt recommend this store to anyone. And dont look down on me because Im not the same color as you.

This was all on January 2nd 2017 at 10:01am Extremely rude, inconsiderate, and down right lazy. There mail truck has been showing up almost 5 hours later than Normally scheduled every day (2:00pm normally) and I wanted to pick up a package that I needed before 7:00pm and the refused to even check for my package or even ask me the numbers even though I had all the information saying it was here in the facility sitting on a shelf and not delivered yet. This is the worst place I have ever been to and everyone who works there should be fired.if I had the names of those employees I would tell everyone so you could know exactly who to avoid and if need be tell the supervisor. The two extremely old ladys who handle packages are rude and like to fight with there customers and I highly recommend staying away from this sight. Terrible service, rude people and workers, and no lack of respect for anyone. Dont go here at all costs!!! Pay the extra fee for FedEx or anything just not this service
Just called the usps store in punta gorda Florida and I simply wanted to see if I can pick up my package today instead of wait for it tomorrow. Apparently this is a big deal for she gave me huge attitude asking me why I would do that and wouldnt let me talk. This was really rude and really dumb. How could she just treat someone like that. Shes lucky I dont know her name or Id drop it right here. So so so so rude. Thanks for this usps. No wonder FedEx and ups are better then you. Bad customer service. Horrible this was at 4 pm on Thursday the 15. Ive never heard of someone treating her job so carelessly.

I send out lots of priority mail flat rate packages. The boxes are free and I never had a problem with delivery or damage. The prices are less than comparable UPS or FedEx services.

The customer service over the phone at the PG post office is the worst!!!!! I called and asked the person who answered How much will 200 prepaid enveloped cost me? her reply was I dont know how much it will be retail, Im in the back....silence...so I asked her well may I speak to someone in the front and she placed me on hold for the longest time....Needless to say, I hung up. I cant stand dealing with incompetent people, it just makes my blood boil. The mailman hates his job. He only deliveries our mail 2-3 days a week at the most. We have complained and talked to supervisors but no one seems to care. We are now going on 2 weeks without mail!!

This has got to be the worst post office. The phone # is useless, i personally think they take it off the hook on purpose or just dont answer it. Im constantly missing mail and thats the mail im expecting! i cant imagine how much mail that i dont know about goes missing. They need to hire ppl that actually want to do there jobs because there are many out there in need of a job. This post office is a joke.

I am constantly getting other persons mail in my box. Who knows where most of my mail is ending up. Now Im missing a package that the tracking number indicates was left in my mail box. No one answers the telephone at the Punta Gorda Office. This has been an ongoing problem with no resolution.

Something got mixed up with a package I was supposed to receive, They tracked it down and one of the supervisors stopped at my house on his way home to deliver it. That is what I call service.

Countless times they cant even manage to get a letter 30 miles south to Fort Myers in 3 solid days !!! 30 miles & they cant do it in 3 days at a third of the time !!! They are NEXT TO WORTHLESS !!!For Gods sake DO NOT HAVE MEDICATIONS DELIVERED BECAUSE YOU WILL DIE WAITING FOE THEM .
