I started seeing this counselor in October of 2017. The first visit I had with her was at the end of October & it went okay I guess you could say but I was never alone with her. I only saw her twice & when I did see her it was like she was focusing more on the other people in the room than on what I had to say & my feelings towards things. She would occasionally ask me “ how do you feel about that “ after someone was done speaking & was very rude. She falsely diagnosed me saying I had bipolar one disorder & wrote a letter on behalf of my dads girlfriend saying to place me into a facility for troubled youths after only seeing me twice & never having a one on one evaluation with her. Her & my dads girlfriend would always text about me even BEFORE I met her which I thought was very unprofessional of her & when she met me it’s like she had her own mindset of me before hearing what I had to say. I went to another counselor at Charlotte Behavioral Health & got a REAL evaluation which came back that I did not have any type of bipolar but That I do have anxiety & depression. She wrote a letter & I showed it to the lady at Charlotte behavior & even she said that it was barbaric that she even wrote a letter saying to place me into a facility before having a one on one with me & giving me an evaluation by MYSELF. She was always texting my step mom which is highly inappropriate & mind you my step mom has A LOT of issues. I’m just writing this review to state what has happened to me & to be completely about how she was with me & my experience.
This is in response to the 1.0 rating don’t believe everything you read! I would never just Baker Act a client without meeting with them individually! If an individual reports suicidal ideation, thoughts and or plans it is my duty to make sure they are safe!! My #1 priority is the safety of my clients.. sometimes that doesn’t make people happy..
