We went to rent a boat this past weekend and as I was jumping down into the boat my phone came out of my pocket and fell into the water. I have one of those wallet phones with my license and credit cards in it, so had lost everything. My husband tried going in to find it but the silt was so deep and thick we could not see it. While we were out for the day the gentleman there went into the water with their kayak, flipped their kayak multiple times and went into the water themselves, but managed to find it for me! Not only did they find it, but they brought it home and vacuumed the water out and got my phone running after it had been underwater for HOURS. It is still working now- days later. These people are the best!! The boat was great too. EXCELLENT SERVICE- their boss should give them a raise or a bonus!

We decided to call last min like very last min and they were super cool about had a boat ready and waiting. Great staff great prices we had a blast and will be back to go out again.

Mark was great, I have rented boats from other places and this was by far the best experience. We rented a deck boat for the day and had a blast. HORRIBLE. We rented boat for day and it broke down one hour into trip. After being stranded and towed back we returned to Mark, who stated that I “must have done something to the boat” while refusing any refund of daily rate. The boats he rents are old with used, high hour motors that are much more likely to break down. I do NOT recommend renting from Mark at Holidaze boat rental under any circumstance.

Outstanding experience. We reserved on very short notice, but they were able to accommodate us and they made us feel welcome. The boat was in pretty good shape. They lent us a paper chart to go with the GPS. They were standing by when we got back to make docking easy.

Great service, fun staff, had a wonderful day and the price was definitely reasonable and worth the experience. Would recommend to anyone.

Weve been renting boats from Mark at Holidaze for a few years now and cant say enough about the convenience and service of his team, many great experiences! Yesterday we rented one of their deck boats and headed South to Cabbage key and after enjoying the dolphins and beach we headed North for some lunch. We had troubles finding Gasparilla marine so we gave Austin a call. He not only gave us clear directions but also gave us his personal mobile number in case we needed anything else! Again great service. Thank you Mark & Austin!!!!!

Everything was great! We rented a half day pontoon on July 4th and the guy was very super nice/professional/knowledgeable. The price point was very reasonable and the boat did very well! Highly recommend!

I have rented a deck boat several times off Holidaze. The prices are fair and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Pick up and drop off is quick and easy. I will be renting again when I get back to Florida next month!

Rented a boat this past week and was very pleased. From the owner calling me to make sure we wanted to rent (it was blustery with a chance of rain), to Captain Bill showing me the boat and some very helpful navigation software. The engine ran reliably and we had a great time. Tip-dont forget ice for the cooler!

These guys are great! They have a great selection of boats and tons of information and even maps if needed. I get a fishing boat when my pals are visiting and a deck or pontoon boat for wh . The family comes down!Way to simple to NOT use.

Called to ask about a price on a daily rental and told him that I was wondering why it was such a difference from his price to other marinas he says go rent it from them and hung up on me. Did not even give me a chance to ask for the price of a half-day or to even say OK I’ll take it. With an attitude like that you can stick that boat where the sun does not shine.

Very unsatisfied worst experience. We rented a kayak for the day reasonably priced 60 dollars a day. The owner seemed nice enough but the boat had a leak once we got 10 minutes down the river the inside plastic of the boat had taken on so much water the kayak kept flipping. My husband pulled the kayak over to a dock to drain the boat. Luckily the people that owned the dock allowed me to stay there so my husband could go back to the car and come get me. Once we got back to the ramp my husband helped Mike maybe owner to drain the kayak witch took 15 or 20 minutes it was so full of water. After all this we was given 20 dollars of our money back. I understand things happen boats get cracks but apologies and refund is expected when you pay for something that you do not receive.

Austin was very nice, and our family had a great time. We will come back!

Boat was clean, worked flawlessly. No nonsense crew, asked my experience (20+ years of boating) and let me go (after going over the boat in detail of course). Had a 2 day rental, tropical storm rolled in on day 2, brought the boat back early, they even gave me a discount (I didnt even ask for it)... thats customer service! Will definitely use these guys again!!! Thanks Mark!

The guy that helped us out today was very nice and helpful. Actually, he was the owner. We had made plans on going kayaking else where, but the other place canceled on us last minute.Upon arriving, the owner was attentive and gave us several suggestions on where to go kayaking... we wanted to go kayaking and experience alligators in the wild... he knew exactly where to take us... He literally took us dropped us off with kayaks and picked us up in his truck. As we insisted we would drive our selves he insisted on driving us. Very nice.We saw several alligators, lots of turtles, birds,raccoons, and other creatures along the way. We were very pleased with our adventure, kayaks, and scenery we had lots of fun.We know where to rent from on our next visit.Thank You!!! My niece, fiance and i had a great time.

BEWARE of cancellation policy! False advertisement! The reservation was made the day before and less than 24 hours. We called to cancel due to an illness. We were told that the cancellation fee is $75.00 but they would do us a favor by charging only $50.00. We were told that they had been working all morning getting our boat ready and that if we didnt want to go out that day, we shouldnt have made the reservation! Very unprofessional! Needless to say we will never patronize this establishment or refer to our friends and family!

My cousin & I went out kayaking yesterday-her first time. We had a wonderful time paddled to Ponce park at our leisure. Instead of calling for a pick up we decided to paddle back-mistake! About a quarter way back wind picked up as well as waves! What took us 2.5 hrs to get to was taking twice that time to get back! Paddled into a canal for calmer waters & called office for advice. Decided to try to make it the rest of the way (my cousin fell way behind due to being sea sick) when I saw a truck riding on the road beside me an a guy looking at me. It was the owner?! He pulled into an open space helped me & kayak get up the sea wall then went searching for my cousin & rescued her as well. Great experience, would do it again in a minute!

Super friendly and very helpful. Map and verbal directions were given. Encouragement to call for any and all reasons. The boat performed flawlessly. The experience made for a very relaxing day.

The Most worst experience ever in my life.... my family came down to visit and had never been on a boat so like most people we did our research and found Holidaze it was close to our home and I had talked to the owner Mark before. So we rented a deck boat and set sailed now the boat was a little rough but John said that it just came back from the shop 3 days ago. We rented it for the day and want to go to Cabbage Keys John said that the boat had 60 gallons of fuel and we could go there and back 4 times. It took 4.5 hour to get to Cabbage Keys we did stop for about and hour to fish. But I couldn’t get the boat up to any kind of speed. We made to Cabbage Keys but we couldn’t stop cause it took so long to get there that we had to turn around and go back. Half way back the gas gauge went from half a tank to empty. We were stranded in the middle of the harbor. It took 2 hour to get someone out there to tow us back in but in the distance there was a storm coming and I have 5 kids under the age of 6 on the boat, so when the storm hit we had to put them in the restroom on the boat with an adult to stay dry. When we finally got back to shore it was 8 pm. The worst experience ever I will never use this company again. I wasn’t looking for a free rental more like an apology from the owner because my children were at risk being stranded on the boat in the middle of the storm instead I got a 800 bill and they gave me the fuel for free....... I Should of did more research on who you rent from.

We had a wonderful experience. 6 Ladies out in Port Charlotte for the 1st time on a 2 day boat rental. We had a few challenges due to Irma changing the water depths in a few areas but the guidance we received before we headed out was just the ticket to keep us out of trouble and there wasn’t anything we could’nt handle. We went up the river, ate lunch one day and the next we fled to the islands. The boat was perfect and all had a memorable time. Thank you Mark for everything and we will be back! Susan

Will never use this company as the guy who was there today (not sure if he was the owner?) Refused to move his bicycle from a parking spot. Said it was his spot and that he would have us towed if we tried to park there. His spot? No signage to show it as his spot. He was unbelievable rude.
