We had a great experience with Horners. They were honest about our repairs and did a very thorough job in servicing our RV. Mark was my point of contact and he communicated very well what was going on and updating the status of our check up. They were my first call when it came to performing a service as they have been around for a long time. Very pleased with everything and have recommended them to others already. Thanks Horners!

I used this shop in 2017 for extensive preventive maintenance. They were great to deal with, on time, and very communiative. Now 4 years later I used them to prep my coach for a 7000 mile journey...We have become full timers.I can fully trust their work as requested and feel confident they will let me know of issues I may have been unaware of.. Ive used numerous shops over 15 years of owning my Class A coach,. Trust none come close to Horners.. Very satisfied, over the top.

Our RV was taken to Horners for a yearly maintenance check and some additional things that needed to be repaired. This is the first time we used Horners and it will be the last. They kept the RV two weeks, which I suppose was due to having to order a new toilet. When we got the RV back and started to check the things they supposedly fixed, we found that the switch for the hot water did not work. It would not even turn on. According to the invoice they gave us it was replaced, checked and was working. WRONG, if they had checked it, they would have discovered it could not be turned on. The cost was $107.66. Next we had new tires put on the RV, but when they replaced the tires, they never disclosed that the valve extensions would not be replaced by them. So now if we want them, we have to find someone else to do it. The Cost for tires without the extensions $1,355.13. Next the cabin light had been left on so they turned it off at the cost of $76.14 to turn off a light??? Their comment was if a tech touched anything they charge for one-half an hour, so apparently their hourly charge is $152.28 per hour. When they were called to advise of the issues they were very unfriendly and did not want to be bothered. I chose Horners because of their good reputation. CAUTION the business was sold and it is not the original Horners they are trading on the past owners reputation. Unfriendly, if questioned about their work, not helpful once they receive their money, $3,746.33. DO NOT USE HORNERS.

I was visiting my mother-in-law and needed to find out what was wrong with her car right away. Someone recommended Horners to me so I stopped in and Mark was at the counter. He told me they could check out the car immediately and then didnt charge me for running the diagnostics. I was out of there in 30 min and will certainly go back there for auto repairs. I brought my RV to Horners for a repair after an accident I had in June of 2020 and the Insurance Co paid them $10,000 to repair it and it was the worst repair I have ever seen. I would be embarrassed to put my name on this repair. And they wont stand behind it. The work was very shoddy . I brought it back several times. The last time I brought it back I paid them to diagnose the problem they caused, and they couldnt. They charged me and wont give me my money back. Everything worked in my RV before the accident and they say because its an older RV things happen. All I can say is good luck to you if you bring it there for repair.

Horners has been taking care of my autos and RV since 2011. In 2019 I move to Ft Myers, about 30 miles away. So today I needed new batteries and an oil change on my RV and drove the 60 round trip miles to have them take care of it. Why? Because I trust them and I know that they will do the job correctly the first time. I appreciate loyalty and thats why Kathy, Brandon and Mark will always have my business!

It’s not the used RV my wife and I were dissatisfied with. It was the dishonesty your company showed in regard to the condition the RV was in.It was not 2 months after our purchase the issues came up, as you said (nice try) rather it’s been 2 months after our purchase we have been dealing with the issues that were present right off.Your company was only willing to respond when a negative review was left, and your response itself was full of dishonesty. We actually didn’t have an RV coach technician come out because there were none available and Jimmy assured us he could show us everything and that it was in great working order.I had no idea when we got there he was going to tell me there were things that were not able to be checked there (it’s an RV shop) and act like he didn’t know anything about the RV, flipping on and off light switches is not what we asked for, and the fridge he said he fixed but did not.As far as mechanically, the service engine light was on and we were told by Jimmy it was the gas cap.The mechanic told us a lot of times on dishonest car or RV lots, they will change the fluids and do certain things in attempt to deceive people on the actual condition. We did not have major engine things run as that was really expensive and we were taking Jimmy and the “family-owned” company at their word.Naturally, we would not want anyone else to make that mistake. The truth is, it had nothing to do with the gas cap but pulled multiple codes for the light we had to have checked as we were not even able to make the RV up hills. If your RV manager was only passing on his ignorance, you would still deserve a bad review. But it’s much more likely he was dishonest, according to multiple mechanics and your own response. She called Jimmy very early on about the issues, and we have service records showing the issues happened right after our purchase at Horner’s RV. Jimmy knows the service engine light was on when we left and he said it’s the gas cap. However, Jimmy refuses to ever call back after weeks now. It is only then, after my wife gave your company a chance to help mitigate the situation, and received no call back, she decided to leave her review so others can decide for themselves.Characterizing and misrepresenting her, when she gave ample time to your company to reach out to her personally, reveal you are more concerned with the image of being an honest company then the reality of it.I would also recommend those reading reviews look to Yelp as the standards for not getting fake positive reviews is much higher. You see this reflect on Horner’s RV score there. This place is dishonest.Thumbs down, not for selling older RVs, but for being dishonest about the condition of them and jacking up the prices over NADA, then pretending a couple that trusted you was the problem. You were dishonest and that was the problem, not that it was “as-is.” Other customers have the right to know this. And again, it seems you didn’t read her actual review because you tried to justify yourself with the warranty you attempted to sell my wife for 4K.Thankfully, at the time, she called the warranty company to ask them what they would cover. They do not cover issues that happen right away with your RV, but said it would have to be multiple months after.Trying to justify your dishonesty with a warranty that would have cost my family an additional 4k and would not have even covered the issues we are presently dealing with, let’s me know you are absolutely not a company I could recommend to anyone. If you claim you’re not being dishonest about the RVs you sell, then how come even the warranty company you used to justify yourself with directly contradicts your own information about the warranty?Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is dishonest and perverse in his ways, though he be rich.

Mr, Hilt was the person selling, he said it was a private sale listed on Facebook market place and that it had nothing to do with Horner’s. If your employees are selling their personal items at your facility that looks bad on you as it appeared that it was listed by Horner’s.

He is very professional, knows what he is doing and got us back on the road again! The RV we purchased had some problems, but Jimmy explained what they were and the approximate cost to repair them. He did an excellent job, never lied about the RV, and offered to help us in any way he could! **WARNING** RV BUYERS BEWARE—DO NOT PURCHASE HERE!As I write this review, I’m sitting in my car while my RV is at the mechanic for the 3rd time in the last couple of weeks since I got the RV. I’ve only had this RV about a month. The salesman (Jimmy) told me this RV was in great condition, and very clean which is why they had the unit priced 7k over the NADA guide. We offered a little more than the NADA, and he asked for a higher offer stating because it was in ‘great condition’ and everything runs good and works. We took Jimmy at his word and accepted the offer. It didn’t take long, however, for the issues to start popping up after we drove it off the lot. We are already over $3000 into repairs and still don’t have everything fixed. After the first week we realized the motor was dead in the slide out. Next the black tank was leaking Underneath on the first time we filled the tank up, then the fridge went out (Even though Jimmy told me the fridge was fixed). So after having this RV for 2 or 3 weeks and paying a higher price than I should have because I was told it was such a great unit, my family and I could not use the toilet, the slide out, or the refrigerator. And the smell of the septic coming into the whole RV was horrendous. They hadn’t even cleaned out the black tank from the previous owner, and told us it was saying full because of a sensor. RV shops are weeks to months out on appointments right now, which is why I asked him for an honest assessment. When my husband asked Jimmy if we could check the black tank he told us there was no way to do that there. In fact, my husband tried to tell me he didn’t think Jimmy was being fully honest, now I definitely wish I would have trusted his instinct on it.I called Jimmy to see what they were willing to do as a company to help mitigate this and honor their word, being he told me everything works great. He basically told me it’s as is and I could have purchased the $4000 warranty he tried to sell me. Little did he know, I had already called the warranty company which is why I declined it. They told me they do not cover any repairs right after purchase but 6 months or so down the road. In other words, he tried to justify himself because I did not buy the warranty he tried to sell me that would have emptied my family’s savings out and then not even covered the issues we are presently having. Wow guy 😳I remember when he was trying to sell me the warranty he said just a month ago they had a woman who purchased an RV and it broke down on her right after she purchased it and drove it to TN. I should have taken that as a red flag. He finally said he’d ask the owner and then never got back to me.As RV coach inspectors were busy this time of year in FL, I relied on the fact that they were a mechanical shop and seemed to have good reviews (I didn’t realize til after that most of the reviews were for auto repairs and not from people who had purchased an RV from them). This is part of why I wanted to leave a honest review for others looking to purchase an RV, although I hate to have to waste anymore time with this dishonest person and company. Jimmy himself said the owner was weird when I wondered why they could only take wire transfers or cash, something they didn’t tell me til the end. I’m sure it helps them hide their dishonesty in other areas.Let me add the check engine light was on when we first checked it out. Jimmy told me it was the gas cap, they had put a different gas cap on. Every mechanic I’ve talked to now laughed at that and were easily able to hook up and show the code had nothing to do with the gas cap. We found a filthy fuel filter, bad injector line, bad fuel pump, and we haven’t even finished servicing it yet.At the end of the day, my family and I will recover from the losses we incurred due to the dishonesty of Jimmy and his company.May they learn the truth of the old proverb “bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, but afterwards his mouth will be full of gravel.”

If you are having trouble with your RV, there is no better place in southwest Florida (maybe even Florida at large, as Ive found!) to take it to. They are very fair, extremely knowledgeable, and are only in it to get you back on the road. I was in a nightmarish situation where my RVs engine kept disengaging on the highway, leaving me stuck between the spaced-out exits on I-75. I looked around online, and brought my RV to the place with the best reviews I could find. Out of pure serendipity, it was Horners Auto Repair. They worked with us to diagnose the problem; By first fixing the necessities, and then whittling it down...we found out there is a very common issue with gas stations in Florida (especially Racetracs), which is water in their gas!...After Horners cleaned out the old gas and the particulates from our tank, dealt with the damaged parts, and filled her up a little bit, we were right back on the road! I cannot thank Horners enough for being as fair, knowledgeable and understanding as they were. I would recommend them to anyone. The best experience with a mechanic Ive had in my life BY FAR!

Do you need to know a way to quickly part with several hundred dollars at the blink of an eye? Then take a motor home you think you want to purchase from RV Kountry to Horners garage for one of his bumper to bumper pre sale inspections. I was directed to Horners by Everett at RV Kountry. When I balked at using a garage that obviously had a close relationship with Everett and RV Kountry, Everett explained its in Horners best interest to find everything thats wrong because he will then get to fix it.One of the problems that RV Kountry agreed to fix was a wall slide that wouldnt stay closed, just moving the coach a short distance would cause it to open 4 or so inches because the lock was broken.RV Kountry is a consignment business and the owner must ok any repairs pre sale. This repair I was told required a part that would not arrive and on Everett and Horners word that the repair would be done I took possession of the coach and drove it to the RV park where I was staying. By taking the coach the inspection was declared complete. That night we had a lite rain, that next morning the dash board had several water puddles. I took my water hose and squirted water around the edges and sure enough water leaked. When i pointed out to Mr Horner that a thorough inspection should have caught this problem he scoffed and said that the problem could have occurred on my way from his shop to the RV park.During the $1500 or so dollar repair that followed Mr Horner said we see this all the time in Winnebagos, his workers stated the same thing, the glass repair people said the same thing, but Mr Horner felt no compunction to help dollar wise because inspection didnt catch this apparently common problem. On the the day we finally were ready to leave it took the 30 minutes to get the problem slide to retract and 200 miles from my home out it came again. I called Mr Horner and was promised that he would take care of the problem. I explained that I lived 800 miles away I couldnt return for 2 monthsWhen I returned he was anything but happy to see me, he was extremely adversarial from the minute I walked into his office. The one with all the customers are always right signs. At first he explained that he couldnt be held responsible because he had done everything that the manufacturer had told him to to, the he said he might cover the labor if I would pay for the parts. But then he accused me of having a bad attitude and I gave up and found another local repair man who fixed it on the first try, out of pocket to me $700. The gentleman who fixed it also called the manufacturer and they remembered the call from Horner and that they had told just what part he needed to make the repair but had never heard from Horner again.Yesterday my coach broke down in the middle of Utah and after the mobile mechanic had taken a look said to me why didnt you get this coach inspected before you purchased it ? Because if you had you would not have purchased it.So be careful when you get a psychic inspection from Horners garage, apparently he does them from behind his desk while he rubs his temples. Greetings from the Motel 8 in Salinas Utah.

First time for almost 3 weeks and it was the worst paint job I had ever seen, also check engine light was on when I got in it. Then I was told by Ric to bring it back after it sits out in the sun for 3 weeks and they would wet sand it, this would only take a day....brought it back after 3 weeks and then a 1 week later I called Horners and Chuck said Ric would call me back (never did) called the next day and was told Ric would call me back (never did) called a third time and Ric answered, said vehicle would be done on Monday (this was a Friday and now over a week later). Never heard from anyone on Monday. I then called on Weds and was told vehicle would be ready that afternoon (2 weeks after droping it off for a one day job) Paint job was still bad, runs and even a large finger print in the paint, place missed with no paint on it. Also part to fix the check engine light was never installed. DO NOT USE HORNERS AUTO REPAIR.........
