Couldnt get an Uber anywhere, called from the train and he was there by te time I got there. I only was going about a mile then headed back to the train station, I was in the stop for about 15 minutes and he waited without the meter running! Great guy, great service!

We requested for this service late at night after two hours of unsuccessful attempts to book an Uber/Lyft. The service was on time and excellent.

The worst taxi service possible. The driver kept lying to me for more than hour saying he is 10 mins away. Very upproffesional.

Do not under any circumstances get this taxi company. They do not go on base and they are extremely unethical. I called this company as myself and others were at the Providence Airport and needed to go to Naval Station Newport. When ordering the ride, I asked if he could get on base, he said yes. Before the bags were placed in the car, I asked again if he had access to the base! He said yes! After a 100 dollar car ride, we arrived at the base and we were quickly informed by the guards that he didn’t have access. He decried that the last time he was on base, he allowed on. He, the driver named Raymond, lied. He just wanted the fair! Myself and two other women who are here for training had to get out at the gate and walk to our destination. There were 10 cars backed up behind us and we were extremely embarrassed.He also charged us excessively As reimbursement for him to go over the toll bridge.During the ride, a call came in and a rider requested a ride. The driver, Raymond, said that he’d be there in 10 minutes. This was impossible as he was driving us to Newport which is at least 40 minutes. Take your money and time elsewhere!!Also, the amount that you see when driving is joy hr actual amount. On the meter, it showed 90.06 but after “taxes”, it came out to 106 and some change!

Had a 4am pickup to go to airport to catchA flight and they no call no showed!! ! Called United Taxi and they saved the day showed up within 5 min after the call.

I have used pretty much every taxi and cab company in rhode island, and i think this is the one i like the most, friendly drivers and got me on time every time.

I called for a taxi the night before my pickup for 3:10 pm, said it was all fine but the dispatcher was rude and hard to understand. Then when the taxi didn’t come at 3:10, I called and the dispatcher said they will call when he’s there. Then he never showed up. I kept calling and calling. No answer, straight to voicemail, sometimes the answering machine was in Spanish. Then an HOUR later he finally picked up, I calmly told him that I called for a taxi an hour ago and now I missed my bus. He said this is the first time he’s hearing this call and that I never asked for a taxi and he hung up. This company is a fraud and I missed my out of state bus for it. Don’t make the same mistake that I did. I ended up using city cab company after Providence LLP never showed up.

Called a taxi, didnt show up until 30 mins later, making me late to something very important. i called to cancel it beforehand and they finally showed up 10 mins after that, when i didnt respond the taxi drivers called me multiple times cursing me out in spanish. LMFAO. unprofessional and disrespectful. will not be using this again, dont encourage anyone to either. there are many other taxi companies in prov :)

This taxi company was a Godsend for us. My son slept through his alarm and missed his 7 am train to Boston, so it looked like there was no way he was going to make his flight out of Logan at 9:25. I called from Wisconsin at 7:40 am Providence time, and there was a taxi cab driver at my sons dorm five minutes later. He got my son to Logan in 50 minutes - which I didnt even think was possible! This will definitely be my go-to taxi service when I need one in Providence - though, hopefully, it will never be under such harried circumstances again.

I took today their services to Connecticut and was a good safe drive there.very friendly driver and polite.

From providence to fall river very expensive I thought 78 then a tax after the meter it came out $85 all in all. He drove us to route 6 in Seekonk and Rehoboth then hiway again. Big mistake to have this taxi

After telling us they would pick us up in 10 minutes at the harbour in Providence late tonight (after they had dropped us off for the fireworks earlier and were tipped heavily) they then didnt show up after 40 minutes even though they knew we had two young children needing to get home. When I tried for a 2nd, 3rd and 4th time to check on progress they just ignored the call. I would not use this firm again!

Worst cab company ever! I asked for a cab this morning 30 mins in advance they never showed up . . I called to find out what happened & the dispatch guy who doesnt even speak English hung up on me rudely. Do not waste your time!!!!!

Driver was kind to my kids, and gave them lollipops. That earned a star. Bad part: driver kept a music video playing iPad balanced on his lap as he sped through the streets, jerked to stops in traffic, and wove through alleyways. When my husband confronted him about watching and cuing up music videos, the driver argued with him about it for several minutes versus profusely apologizing for driving distracted.

Cant complaint I was stranded and they got here fast enough for me to get to the airport. thanks I got there on time.

I live in the neighborhood and had an occasion to use Providence Taxi twice. My first encounter with the dispatcher was crude and rough. I had to wait for the cab way past my appointment time because the cab never came although the dispatcher lied and said the cab had come and gone. But after a few calls to check on the status of the cab it finally showed up. The driver was pleasant and the vehicle was clean and presentable. Afterwards I said I might try them again.A few days later I tried them again, and encountered the same rude dispatcher, who proceeded to tell me the minimum charge is $10 and they dont accept debit cards, and then hung up on me. I immediately called a local competitor, Economy Cab, which had very good customer relations skills and quick service.I would never recommend Providence Taxi to anyone.

Terrible service. The phone operator was incredibly rude. The pickup was then VERY late. The worst thing of all - The man who picked us up was in an unmarked car with no meter (a blue honda). We almost didnt get in the car because we werent sure if we could trust the man. Was he going to kidnap us? Hmmmm. He then stopped and did an errand on his way to taking us to the airport. Do not use this service! Yikes, scary.

This company doesnt even deserve 1 star. Never showed up and kept forwarding my calls. And wasnt the first time it happend. I dont know why its the second taxi service when searching providence taxi... Very disappointed and I dont recommend to anyone.
