Recently, I decided to try this agency again after having no luck the first time I applied with them 2yrs ago. The first time I applied with them, I met with the owner a year ago. It was the rudest, most combative interview I had ever experienced. I chalked it up to a bad day but decided to go with another agency. Currently, I’m hoping to find a permanent position closer to my home. So, I decided to apply again to two positions that were not listed as temp to hire. I received an email from Allie who said that she had a position in mind for me and to give her a call. When I did, she was not available and I spoke with someone else who went over the questions Allie had and advised that Allie would contact me later. A week has gone by and I sent an email to Allie to follow up on the position mentioned. Her response indicated that the salary range I was looking for ($14,000/year less than the median for Providence) was unrealistic. She also indicated that, despite a number of years as an admin, that I lacked not only skill but also experience. If I were you, I would definitely look for a different agency.

I had never worked with an agency before and working with Ashley put all of my worries at ease. She was pleasant and kind. She was also very professional, made sure I understood how everything worked and what they would require of me. And I was able to get a job on my FIRST interview within less than 2 weeks of being with the company. I would definitely recommend City Personnel.The reviews on here arent fake ( a lot of people only leave good reviews for the bonus gift card ...like I did.. ). Not gonna out or say anything in specific cause everybody messes up... I guess.. but.. Eh.. Go with Randstad.Such a late update: This volatile relationship ended in City personnel trying to blackmail me to take down my review to obtain my termination letter. I kindly advised Dawn who called me that I had recorded our conversation and would kindly wait until 3pm that day for my letter before I reported the company for blackmail. Wouldnt you know I had my letter in my email before 12pm.
