Excellent tailor! Caryn did an incredible job on my fiancees wedding dress. When I needed some alterations on my suit, I also went to Caryn. She did an amazing job, at really affordable rates, and the turn-around was only a week. I was completely pleased with her work. During the process, she was kind, professional, easy to work with, and made really useful suggestions that improved the suit look even more. Would definitely go back, and am planning to go back for future tailoring of my regular clothes. It isnt easy to find someone who can expertly tailor clothes for men as well as women, and I highly recommend Caryn.
Caryn and I had a journey together with my wedding dress. I bought my dress in March right before everything closed down last year. I bought the dress knowing it was a size or two bigger because I wasn’t sure if I ordered it, if it would come in on time. I lost some more weight and Caryn ended up having to take my dress in 5 sizes.I love my dress she helped make it mine and she made me part of the process. You can tell she loves what she does and it shows in her work.
Karen was amazing to work with! She does impeccable work and was able to meet a tight deadline! She essentially redesigned my wedding dress by removing the back and created a lace up corset back which was absolutely gorgeous! If you have a wedding dress to alter, you’ll be thrilled with Karen’s work and professionalism!!
I had the best experience at Pochue’s. She did an amazing job on my wedding dress and my MOH’s dress. I would recommend this place to anyone!!!
I just moved to Providence from Boston and sadly had to leave my beloved tailor in Southie. I was hoping to have a great experience here, but sadly I did not. I needed a dress to be let out, nothing more, and had to come in several times in order for them to get it right. This would have been fine had it not been for the astronomical cost of the alterations, which were never made clear to me up front. The seamstress forgot to let out the slip of the dress, and then charged me extra for it after the fact. In total, I ended up paying more for the alternations, than the dress itself, and Im not even happy with the final product. I sat in my car outside of the shop and cried after I picked up my dress and paid the exorbitant amount I was told I owed. I wouldnt recommend this experience to anyone.
Did an beautiful job tailoring a unique piece for my wardrobe. Price was reasonable and made clear up front. High quality work and attention to detail. Note: cash or check only.
Without going into a rant, Ill just say that this is the worse customer experience Ive ever had with anyone, hands down. Im writing this review years later, but Ill never forget how unpleasant this woman was even after being really nice to her. I regret not addressing her attitude directly. Anyway, if youre looking for pleasant customer service along with your alterations, dont go to Caryn.
Great work for a great price! And very nice too!
She charged me 200$$ to take in a zipper and put a A line in my daughters prom dress. She told me what she though was best not what we wanted. She said that she disnt have enough fabric which i dont understand how that can happen cause this is your job. Go to the fabric store. She said she would take the top in and put a latch above the zipper. She didnt. This was just a straight robbery. She did offer to fix it however at this time i was afraid to have her mess the dress up. On top of it all the dress smelled like mildue Or old wet rug. i should of new i should of walked ojt the first day i came in. She was extreemly rude to an elderly customer. Pretty much kicking her out. I now know why her shop is empty ! Please take your business elsewhere unless u want to be robbed. Took my dress to a family friend whos A seamstress. She knew my crunch time by then and fixed it for free.Worst exsperiance. Shes over priced and robbed me. I paid for a zipper and a staight linning and she added a few holes with some beads missing. The worst
Always good and worth it
