New to the area, I was really impressed by the cleanliness, the environment, the barbers are all on point and was offered bottled water while I waited for my appt (I was early). Lauren did a really great job with my fade, couldnt ask for more. She knocked it out of the ball park.

The shop is beautiful, upscale, and trendy. The barbers all have great energy, and they really seem to enjoy their craft. The atmosphere was friendly, with good conversation in every chair. The haircuts I saw during my visit were all top-notch. My barber asked me questions, made suggestions, and delivered an amazing product. The fade is seamless, and the style is impeccable. I have found my new regular barber shop.

This was my first time going to Urban Fellow. It was a really nice experience, as everyone I encountered was very friendly and professional. The shop itself was very clean. As a female getting a traditionally mens cut, it was really important to me that I felt comfortable and they were great! My barber Seth made sure I got exactly what I wanted, and checked in every step of the way. He also gave me good advice about how to maintain my hair. Very happy with my experience and my super fresh cut, awesome job!

Outstanding customer service and quality. Used to go UF at their original location and Warwick but when they moved downtown it was definitely worth checking out the new location. The barbers are great and talented at what they do. Its a relaxed atmosphere. Pricing is competitive.

Im from Illinois here for my best friends wedding, and we were recommended this shop from the grooms friend. Kayla was my barber and she was wonderful. She cleaned me up and we had good conversation. 12/10 do recommend. If you have hair bring it here. If you dont Im sure theyll clean up a bald head too!

My barber didnt even show me my hair before throwing in hair clay, ending the cut without asking if it was acceptable. Its about 3/4 too long on the top, which caused the styling to collapse in under an hour. Ive received a decent cut from them once before this, so Ill leave it at 2 stars, but this cut was a complete waste of time and money.

Just got my haircut here by Lauren and have no complaints. Staff is very friendly and keeps the place clean. They have Covid guidelines that they take pretty seriously and actually care which is a plus! Just be aware that they arent doing beards right now cause you have to be masked up the whole time. Place is a bit pricey compared to the average barber with a haircut costing you about 30 bucks without tip. Considering the location in downtown Providence and the quality of the place and staff, it aint too bad. Recommend and will definitely be back!

Seth is a master at his craft. The ship is always clean. Friendly staff to greet you with a bottle of ice cold water. Its always nice to find a shop where you can take your children and know there will no risk of vulgarity.

Never had a bad experience here with a haircut. Chris and Eddie go the extra mile with every cut their ability to work fine details is amazing. I hate to say it, but most barbershops in RI dont provide the level of quality youll get from anyone at this place. Its worth it.

Made a last minute appointment with Christine. Went in for a haircut/beard trim. She was great. Very personable and professional. My typical barber at a different shop canceled on me and I needed a cut before my vacation. I was nervous about trying somewhere new but when I left that chair and looked at the cut--it was truly exceptional. The line work was incredible and Eddie was a great barber. I will be back.

Ron and Seth are true masters of their trade. This is a true barbershop. These guys will move their own personal time around to make sure you get a cut. Best cuts, and they treat you like family. Highly recommended.

I tried 2 other barbers there and was not happy until I met Chris! He is okay, couldnt get my hair exactly what I asked for, but i still live. The price went from $20 to $30 plus tips since they moved from Warwick to downtown Providence. That is a lot for a kid haircut. My wifes hairdresser only charge her $35 for her beautiful haircut, which it includes wash, cut, blow dry and style. I like that all barbers are nice and professional.

Have been going to this place to get my 2 sons haircut for the past year. They do a decent job.Place is spacious and nicely decorated. Couch is comfortable while waiting.The price steadily increase from $12 to $15 for a boy haircut within a year. However the last time I took my son there, I was taken aback when told oh weve increased our price. Its $20 now.From $15 to a sudden jump of $20 in 2 months. For a boy haircut! I paid but decided to go somewhere else next time.They just lost 2 customer.

Ive been there a handful of times with various barbers and each one has been great. Theyre not a get you in to get you back out as fast as possible type of place. They take their time and do a high quality cut. Definitely one of the best barber shops in RI. You can get a cheap $12 haircut somewhere else and youll get what you pay for. Haircuts here are $23 and very much worth it.

My nephew goes to Urban Fellow. He has thick hair and hard to cut. I could always tell when he would get it cut because he looked awesome. Now I send all my guy friends there. Im so happy men have a place thats so cool and good.

Tried calling twice, no answer, got here at 6:30pm and you were closed. Seems like a cool place but you need to keep your hours up to date.

Ray is the man!! Great cuts, all hair types

Ive had a lot of hair cuts ranging from places that charge $8 to $40. Ray was my hard cutter at Urban Fellows. I believe I had the most relaxing full scissor only cut in the United States. Haircuts have always been a step below in my experiences unless Im paying exorbitant prices for what would have been the average experience in India. At the end of 20 minutes I barely felt Ray Castergine work his hands and I had one of the best haircuts that was over before I knew it.I paid ~$20+tip for a haircut without shampoo.

Took my 2 year old nephew here for a haircut and loved this place! Loved Eric the barber who cut my nephews hair and am definitely going to go back for every haircut for him.

Barbers are rushed to get people in and out and don’t pay attention to detail. The only thing they’re missing are cattle prods. You feel like one after leaving here.

The guys are great really take care of you just make sure to schedule an appointment early in the week if you want a Friday or Saturday slot.

When I lived in Rhode Island l, I would not go anywhere else then Urban Fellow to get my haircut. I currently live on Long Island, NY and cant find any barbershop that comes close to the service, professionalism, class, atmosphere and the way they all cut hair. I would highly recommend them.
