Great course. Fun layout. I wish people learned to fix their ball marks though.
Excellent facility, amazing and testing course. Very consistent after 3 inches of rain yesterday. Highly recommended.
As a wedding venue myself, not every venue lives up to expectations. This place is really great. Great staff, wonderful food, Angie the new banquet director is great. Wonderful place to have a wedding. Go tour the place if you’re getting married, you won’t be disappointed.
The course was in good shape. To make this a top notch course they need to upgrade their carts to newer carts with GPS.
This course is in good shape. Clean greens. Nice and long so you can use your Driver. Even a couple Driveable Par 4s.
Fantastic Golf Course! Immaculate practice area, incredibly friendly staff, and gorgeous views. Moderately challenging course and very well kept.
I have always struggled with the customer service at the Wilds, from the day it opened. I have always found the golf shop employees to be arrogant and left me wondering why they work there. Maybe only to be rude to customers. Today an unfortunate experience occurred when they had no record of the tee time I had booked online. Of course, my fault, even though we called and confirmed once we saw there was a 48 hour cancellation notice, that no other golf course has and were assured we were ok if cnc the afternoon before. Why they would feel a 4 some would just show up claiming a tee time speaks to their arrogant lack of customer service. Of the other local golf courses, worst shape, worst golf carts, worst food and service. And all for a similar if not same price. Highly suggest go somewhere else.
I wouldn’t play this course again even if they paid me to play. Customer service is terrible. Green fees are ridiculous considering the shape of the golf course. If you doubt me, try calling the pro shop and see what kind of service you receive. I would rather flush my money down the toilet.
Scared the heck out of me as Im novice. Very fun course! Lots of challenges! Ill definition go back. They make even the average golfer feel like a pro!
Great course. Very challenging and well kept. Greens a little fast.
Nice course. A little on the expensive side but very well maintained. Could be intimidating to beginner golfers with the large number of houses close to some of the holes.
Wilds is consistently good. A number of holes that I would consider classics. A very good value and super convenient - just south of the river. You can make a stop at the casino after your round as well.
Played 18 in a little over 2 hours and it would have been faster if I was able to put my tee shots in the fairway more often than twice. Whoever couldnt rake the bunker after playing a shot from the one to the left of the 16th green on Tuesday 4/25/17, I took care of it for you. Greens had been aerated the day before but they still rolled nice if you read the break right and used the right speed, if you didnt you missed putts as you would on non-aerated greens.
Wonderful course friendly staff
Great course to play.
Menu really good despite Covid restrictions. Exceeded our expectations.
Very nice course
Always a great time and friendly staff, Fall Colors on the course right now are great!
Nice round of golf
Terribly inconsiderate staff. Was paired with a couple of older gentleman today, one of which had Multiple Sclerosis. We were harassed twice during our round for slow play. The gentlemen tried to speed up their play by playing a scramble on a couple of the holes. When we got back to the clubhouse we were harassed again. Its a shame that a high end course like The Wilds hasnt trained their staff to be more considerate for all who enjoy the game of golf.
What a wonderful course. Not too hard and definitely not too easy. The pub has top notch food and the prices were lower than expected. Every staff member I encountered made me feel at ease. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was the mens locker room. Whoa! De-funk that place; soon. I know its a locker room but Ive been in gym locker rooms that smell better.
Well kept golf course with some challenging holes. The fall color is fantastic!
The website says you must book a teatime online. They need to enter the world of technology to allow us to book it from a mobile device. Very antiquated, couldn’t do it. Booked at another course instead. I don’t have time to sit at computer and book a tee time. Waste of time entering in info to realize this!
I love the pay the temp tee time offer. Course was in amazing shape for it being early into the season. Greens were quick, but I barely noticed any ball marks (thank you to my fellow golfers for taking care of your marks). Staff was amazing, the gals loaded the carts as we checked in and wiped the clubs off after the round. Beverage cart came around every 3-4 holes. Wonderful experience.
Absolutely Fantastic! Great food, friendly and attentive customer service. Good quality fresh food at a great price. Everyone; including 4 children and 5 adults raved about the food. Ive never been to a buffet where absolutely every food item was a hit, even our picky eaters went back for 2nds and thirds as well as tried new things. Our family definitely recommends The Wilds Buffet Brunch; we will certainly be coming back!
This course is immaculate! Its a challenging course for the casual golfer, but not too difficult that Id shy away from it if that description fits you. The service at the pro shop and bar were spot on. No GPS on the carts, bring your range finder or golf course friendly watch for distances.
We went for the brunch with Santa and it was a wonderful time! Good food, great Santa, reindeer and a balloon artist... $60 after tip for two adults and two kids!
Beautiful area
Great service. The golf staff and wait staff was awesome!
Great service, interesting golf course with lots of unique golf holes
Amazing food, amazing service! Jordan was super friendly and very attentive!
Beautiful place for a wedding. Nice and clean, really nice course. I also installed the carpet there!
The course is WAAAY too expensive for what you get. There is no way this place should be charging $100 (with cart) for a weekday round. There are other course to play that are just as good for 1/2 the price. The grounds were well kept, but the sand traps needed work..And there are way too many of them. The place also had that wanna-be country club vibe. If they didnt know you, you are not treated well.I did like the free range they provide and the practice green was well kept.Overall, the Mystic Lake course is a far better value. I will not be returning.
Nice course, small pro shop with overpriced goods only catering to a sliver of the population playing there. They have a bunch of young inexperienced pros hanging out, and they do some stuff like Jr golf lessons, otherwise they stand around air-swinging and looking pretty. The course is nice, the course grew does a fine job.The restaurant, is very nice. Sunday brunch is great, and holiday brunches are even better.
My friends got married here last October, it went alright but could definitely be improved upon as far as wedding and other large gatherings go.
I have been going here for years and this will ALWAYS be my favorite Sunday brunch! Shannon and her team are second to none!
The course is in pretty good shape; tees, greens, and fairways are solid. The tourney food was very good. As always the service was great!
Neat course. Visited for an event being hosted here. Only complaint about the event was the food did not measure up to what we paid for dinner. Im not sure if it was food regularly served at the club, or if it was brought in for the event, but it was NOT worth staying for dinner.
Best buffet...ever...steak was delish...chicken was yummy...the potato was out of this world...it has become our favorite spot
Our food was great, the best fish fry ever!!! Choices were plentiful and displayed so nicely. Our server Roxanne was so nice and always right there when we needed something. I would rate our experience as a 10.
Great course and an even better staff. Elevation changes on almost every hole, but plays extremely fair throughout the round. They do have very fast greens, so make sure you get there early and take advantage of the range balls that are included with the greens fees.
I recieved a dish that contained chicken and I am allergic to chicken.I informed the server and she was extremely nice and took the dish. About 5 mins later i was given a new dish and was reassured that the dish did not contain nor was cooked with chicken. Well abbout 5 bites in I realized that there was chicken in the second dish. I again informed the serving staff and they were very receptive of the issue. I finally recieved a dish without chicken 20 mins later. At this point everyone has finished their meal and networking while im trying to eat. It is very important to understand food allergies. I now have to spend the rest of my work day with a stomach ache and then some.Great facility AWESOME SERVING STAFF.The chef who prepared the second dish with chicken 😠😠 NOT OK .
Nice golf course. Maybe a little high priced for the experience, but the course was in good condition and layout was good.
Beautiful venue! I attended a wedding there. The only unfortunate part were the staff. Not once did I see any of them smile or act friendly. They just ran around looking frazzled and yelled at people to move places. Not the greatest experience
Their food has really improved! On Friday night during Off Season they have all the Prime Rib you can eat and it is great with mashed potato with fixings, salad and bread pudding for dessert. Their Pub is really good and so is their Sunday Brunch!
Gorgeous course with great greens and just as good of fairways . Some beautiful tee shots and nice landscaping and some holes that really make you feel in the wild. Large practice facility that runs along the semi private entrance.
We went here for brunch. The food was wonderful. Definitely would recommend.
Very nice. Staff was hard to identify as some of them wore different uniforms. The dinner was awesome. Kudos to the kitchen!
Attended an event here the ballroom is beautiful. The food was excellent, especially for serving the numbers that were in attendance. On top of that the staff was amazing and were willing to help with whatever!
Oh my was that a fun round! $30 twilight - course was completely empty. Extremely challenging and everything in great shape. No GPS tho for a premium course.. questionable but still a great time!
Was there for an awards dinner. The room was beautiful with a view to the golf course. The food was great. It was everything youd expect from a country club or upscale restaurant.
Was there for a tournament. It was a nice course and had a lot of fun playing there.
Better bring your straight shots for this golf course or you easily run through a bunch of balls
We had an event at The Wilds one year ago, my daughters Quinceñera. Everything went as planned, their service was great!
Great for events, the event team is very helpful and well organized. I had a great experience, and we booked our event during winter, so we saved a bunch of money with the discounts they offered!I can highly recommend having your event with the Wilds!
Beautiful location for reception. Private bar set up in the room with large patio overlooking the 18th green.Food was excellent. We had a small steak, chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes, and green beans. All were prepared very well and served at a good temperature and we were the last table to get our food!About a quarter of the staff seemed to have better things to do. In particular, one of the bartenders made you feel like you were bothering her every time you went up. Her tip jar proved it out; the other bar tender was great and had a jar full of cash on his side.
The course was in great shape. Not impressed at all with the golf pro or his staff. There are a lot of nice courses to play where you arent treated poorly.
Celebrating my sons 18th birthday was great at the Wilds. Course course was in great shape except the sand traps were horrible..no sand
Went for a wedding which overwhelmed the only bartender. Could have had more help. Beer selection OK, amenities nothing special for a bar in a higher end golf course.
Great layout, good options for yardage depending on skill. I just wish the bunkers were a little better. Great course overall.
Beautiful and challenging course. First time there and wish I paid more attention to the cheat sheet starter provided. Many blind tee shots that seemed well put, to find out they were not :). ONLY complaint were most of the par 3 boxes were in rough shape. Not sure if they had tournaments out there days prior. Very minor complaint.
The golf was great, the service wS great.
My local course. Everything about the course is awesome except the sand traps. They receive little maintenance, so they are as firm as concrete or all of the sand from the edges/sides has washed into the center and sits there for weeks.
Nice facility for the wedding. The dinner was great!
We were here for a wedding, very nice room with spacious and clean banquet room and the food was great!
Great Sunday brunch buffet! Great Santa and ambience for pix with the kids before Christmas.
Great golf course and Sunday brunch!
Great track that was in wonderful shape. Amazing staff golf pro staff! Great brunch!
Great
Most overpriced, overrated golf course in the Twin Cities. They should call it The Houses instead of the Wilds. If you like hills and houses and paying nearly a hundred bucks to golf, go for it. However, there are many courses in the Twin Cities area for less than $50 that Id rather play.
Was there for a business meeting, chicken they served was awesome!!
The Shakopee High School band banquet was here. Great facility, great food and great staff. Thank you!
My favorite place to golf in Minnesota!
Excellent Practice Area - Real Turf, Bunker, Unlimited Balls all day, able to work on everything in your bag as much as you want
Service was magnificent, the buffet had a great selection and everything tasted wonderful. We went golfing afterwards and the community/course is well kept and was a very pleasant place to spend my day.
Very nice wedding venue. Staff was fantastic!!
Great course and awesome practice facility
Great golf course in excellent condition!!
Food & service was good. Not many diners. Clubhouse could use updating.
Amazing condition for the first day open🍻
By far my favorite course in the Twin Cities. Its always in perfect condition.
Course was not in great shape and the staff was condescending minus a couple people since we werent regulars at the course. The ranger who worked that day was a complete A-hole. They have a rule that we werent clearly explained about carts that arent allowed within 100 yards of the green even though we always were parked in the rough about 50 yards from the green. He treated us like we werent worthy to play at their course but yet he didnt do anything to a group of walkers that made our back nine last 3 hours. There were literally 3 groups piled up on each tee box because of this slow play. The ranger was condescending and rude to us about a BS rule infraction and didnt do anything to speed up the pace of play. Also the cart staff kids were in your face looking for tips even after we said no thanks for their help. The price you pay is ridiculous for the treatment we had and the not so great shape the course was in. Go somewhere cheaper and more laid back like Stonebrooke or somewhere else. You will enjoy your time much more.
Tough but fair course. Great shape this year. Look for Friday night specials.
Extremely well kept course! Very fun!
Nice place for a wedding reception
Great course. Lacked some maintenance in the bunkers and on the greens, but a great place to play.
Good food. Great golf.
Great parking.Food is awesome.
Expensive but worth every penny. Ive played all the courses in the cities area including Minnetonka CC, Wyzata CC, Chaska towncourse, Hazeltine, etc. I played Wilds for the first time last weekend and it is one of my favorites. Great mix of holes, very fair, and in excellent condition. The only knock would be all the houses lining the fairways. But all in all a great golfing experience.
This and TPC Scottsdale are my favorite Weiskopf/Morrish designed courses. Great course, and gorgeous club house.
Great buffet even better service
