I met Francois at my restaurant, he was friendly and like any good buisness owner invited me to try his shop. A few months later I did just that. The only thing that had me initially skeptical was the amount of positive reviews that I read, none even remotely bad. I would later find out how all of what I read was true. This hometown, old school barber shop with a salon flair is inviting, warm and like my beard when I left, crispy. Francois & his staff were friendly, fun and obviously loved where they work and what they do. If that wasnt enough they always have a few complimentary beers in the fridge and the full line of Reuzel products from Amsterdam. Totally recommend.

The barbers here are highly skilled, experienced, and precise. You will get the haircut that you want at this place while enjoying good company in a modern clean barbershop. They are versatile for any style, it doesn’t matter to them they can do it properly. The prices are fair as well. I can write an incredibly extensive review raving about it, just come see for yourself. If not for this barbershop, I’d be out of a spot I trust for a consistent great haircut in the Hudson Valley.

Barber I got refused to listen to the cut I wanted; I even showed him reference images of the style, but he refused to cut it shorter because he insisted the style wouldnt stay (even though I said that my hair doesnt style well when its longer). He didnt give me the right change either, I needed $15 back and he gave me $10, which I sadly didnt realize until I was back home. The other barber was also making crass jokes about Mexicans during my cut.Its a couple weeks later now, and my hair is growing in weird patterns and looks a mess. I will not be giving this place any more of my money. I would recommend finding a more respectable place that listens to you.

I got a great haircut by John. Truly next level technique. Spent a lot of time on the cut and was friendly but not obnoxious. He seems to individualize your cut based on your individual anatomy... If that makes sense. I think I found my new barber. Highly recommended.

Always the best haircuts no matter who’s chair I’m sitting in whether it’s Richie or François... I’ve been searching for a barber for several years in my area. I now travel 45 minutes 1 way to get my haircut by these guy. They are very precise quick and accurate with their cuts just how you’d like it in no time!

Francois not only gives a great haircut and shave but brings his personality and friendliness to every cut. In a time where anyone can bring their business to so many shops he stands out with the atmosphere, cleanliness, and passion for what he does. He is priced right with the top competition in the area. Ruined my hair I grew for 2 years after I asked for a specific look with provided pictures. The owner, had promised me a free haircut and I called a couple months later, and he told me that was off the table and that Id have to book an appointment. I had really wanted to give this place a second chance but I will not be returning to give them any business after my first impression.*UPDATE*. Since the owner would like to refute this b.s. with me. My hair was down to my shoulders. I wanted it cut to the length its grown to now. Id say about 4-5 inches? Why would I come back for a haircut immediately when I wanted my hair to be where I wanted it to be before this dude gave me a freaking undercut I didnt even ask for. Ridiculous.

Francois has been cutting my hair for thirteen years, and I know Ill have trouble replacing him when I move out of the area next month. If youre looking a shop that is immaculate and for a barber who is professional, personable, efficient, and affordable, you owe it to yourself to give him a try. Im sure youll become a regular. Francois has been cutting my hair for 15 years and nobody does it any better. Ive been to other barber shops where i feel like you are being rushed out of the seat for the next guy waiting, and its never like that here. Im glad Francois finally has his own shop because he knows how to treat his customers with respect and hes the best barber in the area. If you want a fresh, quality cut for a good price come see this guy!

Coming here since he opened was recommended by a buddy of mine and I will never go to a different barber. 3 things 1 the atmosphere is relaxing and fun 2 the barbers are cool and actually know what there doing. 3. Worth every penny.

Theyve cut my hair and trimmed my beard (which is a second haircut really) for over a year. Looks amazing every time. They take pride in their work. Great environment. A little immature, but in the best ways. Always a grin and a laugh before I leave.

Franny is the man! He is the best barber around; can give you any cut you want and perfect it. Atmosphere is great. I wouldnt suggest going anywhere other than Fran.

Been going to Kara for years and I love where she is at now! Francois is an awesome hilarious guy who knows how to treat his customers like family. You NEED a sense of humor if you come to this shop. Recommend everone to try them out they wont fail to impress.

UPDATE: Francois went above and beyond to make things right. Definitely recommend this placeMy first haircut here was awesome, and the only one that Francois did. The second haircut I got was not quite what I wanted, but a good enough cut. The most recent cut I got here was god awful. I had to go back to get it evened out a bit... That bad. It’s unfortunate that they aren’t more consistent, because I thought I found my new barbershop, but I guess I’m still searching.

Interior is really well done, barbers have good skills and are friendly. However, most of the positives are overshadowed by the lack of a solid pricing plan (in fact to my knowledge, none of posted or available). Barbers more or less charge whatever they feel like (I’ve paid as low as 25 bucks and as I high as 40 for the exact same cut). If you ask for anything beyond a basic cut (such as a quick 5 min beard trim) the price skyrockets and they won’t prewarn you of the drastic price change until after it’s done and then expect you to pay no matter what. For someone like myself who budgets my money to the dollar this is unacceptable and just plain bad business practices. After the last price surge which the Owner himself did, I have no desire or plans on returning anymore. I’d like to see the owner create a permanent price plan and have it posted, and for them to be upfront about price changes if you ask for more work to be done. A 20 bucks increase for 5 min of extra work is unacceptable and highway robbery!

Great atmosphere, the shop is spotless & they they did an amazing job on my kids hair....my almost s to 16yr old hates haircuts & prefers to rock a blow out which not just any barber can pull off with the texture of his hair....my kid is real low key but for he 1st time ever my kids face lit up & he said I love it as soon as he put his glasses back on & saw himself in the mirror we will definitely go there exclusively from now on

The haircuts are hit or miss, depending on who is the barber. My main problem is that they don’t have a time or price schedule posted at the shop. Each time I go, I pay a different amount. Today I looked online and saw that the shop opened at 9:30am. I show up right at 9:30 and it’s closed. I waited till after 10am and still no one showed. Very unprofessional and aggravating. I don’t plan on returning.

Stopped in on a Friday around 3. Shop wasn’t too busy. My barber was Marcus. Couple issues I had were constantly getting distracted by the TV, phone, coworkers, etc. I understand it to an extent but there were a few times I was just sitting there. Also I wasn’t too happy about getting a beard shave when I didn’t ask for one and then getting charged for it. Was going to say something but at that point half my beard was gone. To top it off it was a bad beard shave and my neck wasnt even clean afterwards. I had to go to work with a shaved face and hairy neck. If they applied themselves a little more they could be great but I will not be returning.

I get so much sugar from my lady after a trip to francois! I get my cut from a different person each time and its always a great job.

Went in without a appointment and John hooked my son haircut up, had my boy looking fresh to def. Shop was clean, professional and everyone was in a good mood, felt like Ive been coming there for years. looks like we found our new shop and barber

Francois is undoubtedly one of the best barbers in Dutchess County. When I was in high school, I used to see him at Marinos Barber Shop. Once I heard that he had established his own barber shop, I knew that I had to go see him. Sure enough, he cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and took his time doing so. If you want quality haircuts, go see Francois.
