I went to the salon on Monday to see about getting my hair cut. I was told that they are very busy right now, so I would need to come on Tuesday at 5PM. So, Tuesday at 5PM, I went to my appointment, where I was told that my appointment was actually made for Wednesday at 5PM. After arriving Wednesday, I saw there were some people sitting getting their hair cut, and was told to come back in a half an hour because they were running a little late. I came back after 25 minutes, expecting to be helped within a few minutes, but instead the girl(Hannah) working told me that it would be another half an hour. She was completely unapologetic about the situation, and she was the one that made my appointment for Tuesday, which later on I found out was made for Wednesday. I dont know with this terrible, unprofessional attitude how come she is still employed by a salon that values doing business. I value my time, so rather than keep being jerked around, I left. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have seen. I would suggest people not to visit the Smart Style Salon, as they are creating too many appointments to handle.
My wife has cried for 2 weeks . They burnt her hair badly left the perm in to long and just fried it horrible. Wont even offer to fix it . We have spent over 250 to fix it and still trying
Horrible haircut for both my daughter and husband. Asked for a trim on bangs and she HACKED IT. Spending less than five minutes on it. Asked her coworker, another stylist, if he thought it was a proper haircut and he said, It could have been worse.... Are you serious?? Husband asked for a low fade to skin (military) and she gave him a high with no proper fade and spent five minutes doing it. Terrible experience for our family.
Bridget clocked in an hour early so she could fix my color. I had yellow brassy blotches from my previous hairdresser. She was very knowledgeable and knew just what to do to fix my hair. I LOVE IT!! She will be my new regular.
If you’re looking for a decent haircut, don’t go here. Ever. They always manage to ignore my haircut requests every single time. Not to mention a basic haircut is over $20. The hair stylists here cut your hair how THEY want to, not how you want it cut.

Could not schedule my appointment for 4 pm, so it was scheduled for 3:30. I stood around 10 minutes waiting for someone to come to me. Then told me to come back 15 minutes later 4:05 I walked away not happy and no haircut. Not going back.

Brittany Clare always does an amazing job with my hair. She understands the style I am going for and makes it happen. She listens and is attentive to details in a way that Ive rarely seen other stylists be attentive. As many of us know, it is hard to find a stylist that you can trust with your hair, and I trust her completely!

Dont bother, they probably wont! I have made three appointments. Twice they told me I had to wait over an hour before they could fit me in. The first time I waited the hour and they then told me they didnt know when they could fit me in, just wait.

Went in and asked for a trim. My hair was once way down my back and now it’s barely past my shoulders. NOT happy. When I expressed that I was not content nor happy I was told that’s what I had asked for.
Was traveling on business and needed a cut on a Monday. Followed the GPS to SmartStyle not knowing it was in-store (Walmart) and was pleasantly surprised on how professional and skilled the staff is. They aren’t licensed barbers however so if you are looking for a shave, they cannot accommodate. But overall it was great for a trim in a pinch!
2 hrs wait for discrimination and no service in the most overpriced salon.. 2 white girls who were behind me got preference after i waited 1 hr beyond 30 mins they originally said.. so I walked out.. Racism is very much alive..Never going back..
I get a decent haircut at a decent price, but the reason I go is they are open evenings and weekends.
Very friendly staff!! Sometimes they are in rush to get you in and out. But a majority of the time its a great experience.

I had Hannah and she was super nice and did a great job on my hair.
Very friendly stylist, but lacking skill. I had lots of long hairs left uncut around my ears. I also had spots where the cutter went too close to my scalp. It was probably the worst haircut Ive had in decades. Friendly people, but Lordy they need more training.

My husband is 76 years old and hasnt got much hair. AND, out front theres a sign advertising $12.95 or 97 for a haircut. He paid $17.95 with tax. He didnt have his hair washed. He brought up what the sign said and she said he didnt get that kind of cut. He goes to either the Massena or Potsdam WalMart all the time for his cuts. Is it customary to take advantage of senior citizens and fleece them?? Maureen Klages
