C2 Potomac has wonderful management tier - their director is caring and student-centered, their staff responsible and organized. They have flexible schedules and provide free practice tests. I decided to take the SAT one last time before starting my college applications. I had tried to self study and mainly got 1400s because I struggled with English. I decided to try C2 for this last effort and I was able to finally push past the 1500 bench mark. The teacher was very good at explaining everything and made sure I understood the thorough thinking process for all the English section questions. Cant thank C2 enough.

Whenever I got stuck doing a practice set or practice problem and the explanation was confusing/unclear or there was none at all, my tutor was there to help me understand what went wrong. My reading score definitely benefitted from coming here, and although some practice may have been redundant, I really appreciate the role C2 played in helping me achieve my target score.

I came to this C2 center after transferring from another one. This center has many high quality teachers that have a good understanding of school material whether its English, Math or History they have it all. My son got high score on SAT after taking sessions at C2 Potomac. Mostly he took English and Math sessions, and whenever he needs more help, we added sessions for history and science. My two older children (high schoolers) have been attending C2 for almost a year and we have been extremely satisfied with the services they have received!!The tutors are overall excellent. We are especially grateful to Tom, who has worked with both of my children on different subjects, and who is an expert on many areas. We were especially impressed with the results from Tom working with my daughter Lucia this past year on Algebra. Lucia just obtained the highest grade in her entire class, and this makes her eligible for Honors Geometry next year, which was her ultimate goal!! As a tutor at C2 for nearly nine years, Ive worked for several center directors. Stephanie Yen is student-centered and caring, a very warm individual. She goes out of her way to meet student needs -- right down to noticing that kids were coming straight from school to C2 without having eaten, and providing snacks. Its a little thing, but its thoughtful, and one of many small, considerate aspects that make for a positive, caring environment conducive to learning.

With the help of an English tutor, my ACT score for the English portion of the test went from a 24 to a 36. Good tutors and friendly administrators. Would recommend.

My daughter loves the program, the tutors and the support from the Center Director. We have been sending our daughter here for about three months for ACT prep twice a week. She started at an 18, and raised her score to a 25 on the most recent test. We are going to continue to try for a better score, but so far we have been happy with the service overall. Weve been meeting with the director once a month for progress reports, and she has already taken three practice tests with them. Thanks C2.

C2 is awesome. They have excellent tutors in just in every different departments and very affordable rates for private tutoring.

When trying to get my daughter tutored by them, I was told to sign a contract. The lady seemed kind, but kept on attempting to rush me. I noticed something off in the contract, but the lady quickly reassured me that it was just saying that I was paying for the next 3 weeks, but she told me not to worry as I could terminate it at any time and get my money back. I signed it due to her pressuring me without reading it over thoroughly, and all seemed well. After we realized later that we wouldn’t be able to manage going there frequently, since it was pretty far away and that it wasn’t even good tutoring (my daughter hated it) we decided to take advantage of our ability to get refunded, but upon calling them and asking about the refund, they told me that there was no such thing, and that since we had signed the contract, there was no way that they would return even a cent of the 2,000 dollars which we had paid. I felt betrayed and furious. I was lied to and completely scammed by someone I thought I could trust. I wanted to write this review to warn everyone so that they don’t get taken advantage of like I did. Don’t trust them! They are SCAMMERS!!!!! And if you do, against my recommendation, then at least read the contract.

Pathetic.Heres my honest review: Scammers. Was conned us out of thousands of dollars.I came here unsure if theyd be a good fit for our family. The center director, Stephanie Yen, repeatedly reassured me that wed be covered with a 3 week money-back guarantee. Do you know how many times she reiterated this? At least ten times.There was a trial lesson with someone who was not the right tutor for that subject, but we were assured that the right tutor was available, but we had to sign up for 50, 100 or 200 hours of tutoring.Again, dont worry, you always have a 3 week money-back guarantee, then she scheduled me for twice weekly sessions.Less than 3 weeks later, we sent them an email requesting our money back (too difficult driving back and forth twice a week, and when therere three students per tutor, its a waste of money).Turns out, the fine print is that one gets only 70% back (a loss of about two thousand dollars) if you use 6 or more lessons in those 3 wks.The 100% guarantee is only for 5 lessons..hidden in the fine print, and not explained at all even when I asked for more explanation at the time of contract discussion.The beauty of the con is that the director herself, a seemingly pleasant and smiling young lady, will schedule the twice weekly sessions x 3 wks, to make sure one exceeds the number of lessons accepted, not telling you when youre scheduling your sixth lesson that that is de-facto voiding this guarantee.I never thought an actual supposedly-reputable educational center director would actually prey on people who trusted in basic decency, ethics and professionalism.Dont be fooled by the pleasant and smiling exterior. in an upscale neighborhood. Run away!
