I was looking for a GMC Sierra AT4 which was my great white whale... I almost got my hands on one a couple times only to have it slip through my fingers. Living in Vt, I called Holloway on a whim and when talking with Dennis, he was able to get me into the vehicle I was looking for. He was actually able to get me into a lot more truck than I was looking for within the price range I was working with. He was able to drive to the edge of NH to get my new vehicle to me. Dennis has a great attitude and was able to make my miracle happen. I love my new truck and am very appreciative towards Dennis for making it possible.

Tim and Michael were excellent to deal with. You often find a short if not rude experience in dealing with both salespeople and the “big boss” or manager but after dealing with Michael (who was incredibly dedicated, polite, and professional) and his manager Tim (who was patient and helpful in all my (hopefully not dumb) questions I found myself happy with the entire experience.They made time for me during a busy work day to come and sign the paperwork and even more importantly communicated effectively up to that point through text, email, and any needed phone calls.Would highly recommend this dealership to any and all friends!

I wasn’t expecting to upgrade my Buick Encore when I stopped at Holloway GM in Portsmouth, NH last month. I had been eyeing the Buick Envision online and wanted to check one out. I was greeted by Larry upon arriving at the showroom. His genuine demeanor was very refreshing for a car salesperson.From Larry in sales, to Wayne the manager, and Tim in finance… everyone was great.At Holloway the entire experience was no-pressure. Larry is not your typical ‘car salesman’. This is a second career for him. He’s laid back, funny… a conversationalist. He listened to me. It was the first time buying a car was quick and painless — the dealership made the process easy. There was quick and clear communication (email and in-person). Especially with Tim in finance – he gets back to clients faster than I do! The final price was as negotiated (no last-minute surprises) and Tim ended up getting me a better interest rate. Larry, Wayne and Tim are professional and polite salespeople. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another vehicle from them. 100% recommend them!Side note… I hate to bring gender into play but as a women buying a car… it’s worth noting. It was so refreshing that the Holloway team looked at me in the eye, spoke to me… didn’t divert to the male I was with. It’s sad that I have point this out.Anyway... I scedualed my 5 star detail for A thursday,,hollaway scedualed it not me,I dropped it early the night before,its a big truck so I went out of my way to bring it to you very very clean so I would get a better job,got called end of the day that thursday and was asked if I could keep it there overnight I agreed,next afternoon I had to call them to see if it was done yet and they said yes,said he called and left a message,he did not,it was too late for me to arrange to pick it up I live in Hampstead,so I picked it up saturday morning,interior they did OK,not perfect 5 star but OK,exterior they missed way too much I wasnt happy at all.Originally I was worried they needed to keep it overnight because they may have damaged it,I asked,they said we had too many 5 stars to do !!!! I asked them for the date.Ive had a few done in the past and was very happy Its obvious that detailer is gone.Was my first bad Holloway experiance,I used to recomend to everyone not now I wont

Best vehicle buying experience Ive ever had. Everything was ready when I arrived. Truck was perfect. Tim DAgostino in the Finance department had me in and out in 15 minutes. All of the numbers I was given over the phone were exactly the same when I signed. The salesman (Larry Scaglione) was a pleasure to deal with (friendly, honest, helpful). In a time when most dealers are taking advantage of this market, Holloway GMC are setting themselves above the rest by making more than fair deals, selling at sticker and including any available rebates when most others are not. The service rep, Ethel Brown, was very courteous and informative. She listened to my issue and evaluated the problem while I was in the dealership. She later called me to inform me that the service department was unable to replicate the problem. She suggested that a transmission fluid change might resolve the intermittent problem.I am pleased with the dealership however I am very disappointed with GMC because I have seen multiple posts on the internet talk about the same transmission issue and GMC doesnt believe it is a problem worth fixing.

We are staying in Portsmouth for along weekend. We arrived bed at 10 pm Thursday night, checked into the hotel. When I went to move my car it kept stalling.I called Holloway service department in the morning at 7:30. They were very busy on this Friday. They told me to come in and they would do what they could.We were there around 8:30. They took our car in right away. They gave us a ride to breakfast while they diagnosed the problem, called with a solution within 1/2 hour, we told them to fix it. The car was fixed before we finished our breakfast!Than you to the service team for your speedy service, friendly hospitality to a traveler!

Megan and Tim made the transaction easy! It was nice to avoid the typical back and forth haggling. I made a fair offer and they accepted.Megan was fantastic during the entire interaction. She was never pushy or aggressive as some sales people can be. She kept the conversion casual during the test drive which helped build trust.Tim was straight forward and honest with the numbers. Had a great experience buying a new truck. Most people only post reviews when they have a poor experience. I have purchased many cars over the years and this was one of the best experiences I had buying a car. I worked directly with Tim. Tim is the best at his job very straight forward no pressure and disclosed all pricing information. Tim did not play the typical dealership games. This is very refreshing. I know there are a lot of dealerships to choose from when buying a vehicle. I would highly recommend to absolute go see Tim DAgostino if customer service is import to you and getting a fair deal. The staff was very professional and called me with an estimate before preforming the work.The bad experience I had is that this is the second time the same part has failed in a 2 year period. The first time it was under warranty so I did not have to pay anything out of pocket, this time it was out of warranty so it cost me $688.72. Not very happy having to pay for the same item. I can only hope that it doesnt fail again.

Brought the truck in for issues and an oil change while it was in, the oil change was done, the issues I was told are normal operating conditions, van sounds like a mack truck, a/c blows a mist from the vents on occasion, door seal kept tearing off and some glue leaked out of a piece of door trim, the glue is still there and the door seal needed to be ordered, was suppose to be here thursday or friday, its saturday. Thank you for letting me vent

Very helpful. Had a small issue with car I bought elsewhere. The manager came and tried to help fix it but when he couldnt got a mechanic to try. Issue was not covered under warranty. They were very helpful with letting me know my options and explaining everything to me. This was my first time going here. Service dept. & Bob, who hung up on me. Was told by an associate on 7 June 2017 (Wednesday) at 10:30 AM I would get called back re: Maintenance Package and Holloway ability to honor it. This morning (Monday) I called and spoke with an associate to schedule service/ find out what was going on since no one had called, put me on hold and Bob picked up. Bob shared he was quickly briefed on my past experiences at another GMC dealer (I had shared that I had a few bad experiences with a specific dealer in Manchester) and the maintenance package from GMC corporate. The first thing Bob says to me is he doesnt have time or patience for complaints and isnt sure they can service my truck. I said I wasnt sure what the big deal was, my wife & I didnt like how we were treated at another dealer and wanted to get serviced at their facility. Also, GMC corporate gave us a maintenance package, so Im not sure whats complicated about that. Bob then reiterated that he couldnt work on the truck for at least two weeks (no big deal), I said okay, and then again with not having time or patience for complaints. Now Im frustrated, all I want to do is schedule service and be done with it. I dont know why a service rep is escalating when I just want to drop the truck off for work and then pick it up. Just as Bob was sharing his time/ patience reservations, I voiced my frustration with just wanting to find a dealer for service that will not take delivery of my truck for maintenance package service (free to me) and try to charge for other work for things not broken when I dropped the truck off - with that Bob said he would not service my truck and hung up on me. My guess, he assumed I was insinuating Holloway was the dealership taking advantage of customers, when I was clearly referring to the previous dealer. All I wanted to do was schedule service to replace two head light bulbs and whatever else was covered by the maintenance service package. How/ why so difficult, I dont know.

I have been car shopping for the last 5 weeks and have visited in total 4 dealerships to check out vehicles I was interested in. When visiting Holloway in Portsmouth I had a far superior experience than anywhere else, including from years past. The employees were all very friendly and inviting. Each person I spoke with offered me coffee and made me feel very welcome. The salesman I dealt with, Scott Taylor, was very helpful and knowledgeable. Anthony, who handles the financial aspect of the deal, was equally great. He genuinely wanted to find the best deal for me in regards to financing. I was trading in a vehicle and was given a very fair price. I also appreciated they did not try to keep me there while they worked on paperwork and the process of contacting the bank, etc. Anthony told me an accurate timeframe of how long it would take and asked that I come back then. He called me when everything was finished, I came back, signed the paperwork and then the vehicle I was purchasing was sent in to get detailed, etc. I picked up my vehicle that afternoon. As someone who recently moved I had to finish paperwork with the DMV before picking up my title paperwork though I did have the car with temp plates. I finalized everything on my end and, instead of going to the dealer to pickup the title paperwork, Scott is bringing it to my work! I didnt ask for him to do that but as a busy person I really appreciate it as I would have had to figure out a time on the weekend to go back and pick it up. All in all I highly recommend this dealership.

PARTS DEPT. A+++++ Jeff and Kurt in the parts department were very helpful and provided excellent customer service. That was very much appreciated.SERVICE DEPT. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! Sean Farrell, the Assistant Service Manager on the other hand was the complete opposite. From the moment I walked in the door I felt anything BUT welcomed by him. It was as if I was bothering him for getting my vehicle serviced. While I stood in front of his desk, he just continued looking at his computer never acknowledging me until I finally said, Excuse me, but am I in the right place? He never once smiled the during our entire interaction. He tried overcharging me for the service that was already quoted lower to me. I waited over an hour for a service. I rode in with the tow truck driver because I was told it would take about 10 mins. Sean told me it wasnt going to be done anytime soon. So if there was anywhere I had to go or anything I had to do he suggested I go do that. By this time my chin was dropped. I could not believe I was standing in front of a customer service agent....NEVERMIND the assistant manager!!! To top it all off, when he handed me my keys to leave his last comment to me was a COMPLETE LIE! He said, you need a new battery immediately. Its running now, but as soon as you turn it off it will not start again. I went right to Wal-Mart and had it tested. It was fine. CROOK, LIAR, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...WOULD NEVER GO BACK!!Ive recently learnt that Ashleigh Bourque has joined the service team at Holloway. I cant tell you how excited I am to hear that. I still own my GMC and knowing this amazing young lady (whom Ive had at a different dealership for years in the past) is going to be at Holloway has restored my faith in the service department and managements staffing decisions. We had a great car buying experience at Holloway. After going to several dealers around New England we were getting completely frustrated with the numbers and people games the dealers were playing with us. It was a painful and frustrating process. Our last stop on this 2 month Journey was going to be Holloway. We pulled in with a cynical attitude and were greeted by one of the best sales professional I have ever met. Ron Lessards personality and passion for the vehicle we were looking for made me feel comfortable and excited. He immediately diffused our skepticism and got me excited about the process again. Not to mention I felt confident I was getting a fair deal. His honesty and enthusiasm to make sure I was getting what I wanted was impressive. Would never recommend this place. I dealt with Larry, he basically ruined my experience there shopping for a vehicle and wasted a lot of my time all for disappointment. Trying to stay realistic for my budget knowing my credit isnt great, his first suggestion is a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500. Loaded up it was my dream truck. After insisting numerous times I did not want to get my hopes up, Larry continously promised me the deal would go through. Having my girlfriend and I take pictures in front of the truck, giving us accessorie booklets, Im all excited just to find out it was declined. Now its not his fault I was declined but the way he played with my mind for das about this truck was totally unprofessional. After this, he sends me over to the GMC in Manchester again promising me that I wont walk out of there without a deal and they told me that Larry was basically screwing me around. Horrible experience. Negative rating. Not to mention my credit was ran numerous times.
