This is a wonderful Post Office with a small town feel amidst urban Portland. The personnel are always patient, helpful and courteous. Minimum wait time in comparison to other PO stations.

Phenomenally poor customer service. Went to drop off a pre-paid & labeled parcel and was just ignored for 10 minutes while two women sat behind the counter talking. No acknowledgement of my presence, Well be right with you, nothing...I stepped up to the counter, apologized for the interruption and asked where the appropriate place to leave a prepaid parcel. One of the women responded grudgingly that tenchnically, you can leave it at either counter but they were in the middle of closing paperwork (a full 45 minutes before posted closing time).I never leave bad reviews, but this is now 3 out of 3 visits that have left a very poor impression. Ill be going elsewhere for my postal needs in the future.

Work at rite aid and have been dropping our prepaid package off for years. In previous years they have taken them in December this year they decided not to, its not even a Christmas package. This is inconvenient for us because we are not supposed to let these packages set around. Now I have to wait for January. Very disappointed in their customer service

THIS IS NOT A POST OFFICE and is operated by possibly the rudest, most unhelpful person Ive encountered in the entire state of Oregon. Go here if you want to be yelled at for asking for a receipt or any questions whatsoever. Never again - I wouldnt set foot in this dump again even if the postage was free.

Please dont bother going here. Granted, I went in 10mins before closing but I thought I could at least get some supplies I needed and stamps. The lady there was very unhelpful, kept telling me to hurry because the mail carrier was leaving soon, and then said it probably wont go out today. When I was trying to concentrate on what envelopes I needed, she kept asking me questions and slowing me down. She wanted to know where everything was going, I told her California, Nevada, and Ohio. Three different places?? Thats what I said. Oh its not going to go out. Thanks for your Unhelpfulness. Very rude, they need lessons on customer service. This shouldnt even be considered an official post office because it disgraces an otherwise amiable company

Not a post office. Even if the workers are being nice, they dont take cash and dont offer all USPS services.Service doesnt require you to be nice to workers.

No receipts and no credit cards made this very inconvenient despite the convenience of it being open on Saturday.

I’m not sure how/why this is listed as an official USPS location given that that only take cash or check. Wish I’d read the reviews before showing up. Staff wasn’t especially rude but also wasn’t especially kind. The person I who started to check me out was pretty passive aggressive about how far I would have to go to another post office if I didn’t want to just go get cash. Will stick with the real USPS branch on 50th and Sandy from now on.

A solid post office that’s super old school. They only take cash but there are two banks literally across the street. I’ve treated the ladies with respect and I’ve never had a bad experience. I’m not sure why everyone gives this place a bad rep. Be humble, have cash and ship your stuff. If it’s close to you it’s worth it.

I saw all the terrible reviews of this place and was worried because Ive never had to mail a package before and Im not great at new social situations, but the women there were extremely nice and were happy to help me and helped me get the lowest price possible. It was a quick and painless process. I have no idea what everyone was so upset about.

Barely a post office. Doesnt take debit cards, cant overnight anything. Has almost no supplies. Dont waste your time.

They are listed as a US PO, but they are not. I arrived and was the first person in line, however although there were two women behind the desk they ignored me. Then one of them said “it will be a while“. After a few seconds I said “how long of a while?“ She said “it might be 5 minutes or it might be 10 minutes, I have to balance, I need to count stamps”.Since I’d driven out of my way to get there I waited, and finally she got to me. She gave me my price I gave her my credit card, and then she said they don’t take credit cards.It is a quaint old-fashioned establishment, so if you don’t need to use a credit card and you don’t care about quick customer service, the place is for you.

This post office is great. Its fairly old but the ladies behind the counter do a good job. Cash only buy thats not a huge deal. The building its in is pretty weird and cool too. The sandwiches next door are really good.

I like this post office and the older women who work here. So what if they arent trying to brown nose me? Maybe the customers need to try a smile. As they say, youll catch more bees with honey than you will with vinegar. The old school vibes are appreciated, sass and all. Sometimes people need to take a little sass and sit their humble butts down.

I should have read the reviews before wasting my time. Google should not return this for a search for Post Office. THIS IS NOT A POST OFFICE! The people here were rude to me right off the bat, and I mean Soup Nazi level rude. I wanted to send something certified mail. One particularly awful person who seemed to be in charge asked me to move aside after the first woman to start helping me engaged with me, as if I were standing in the wrong place. Were talking about 2 feet difference at a counter, and I didnt choose where to be helped. After moving, she immediately told me to get out of the way of customers dropping off packages, saying rudely, youre blocking our customers. Umm, what? I am a customer and you just told me to move here 2 seconds ago. So I move back to the left. After this amazing sequence, as the first person to help me starts filling things out, I notice there are no credit card machines anywhere, so I asked do you take cards? She didnt even understand the question. I had to clarify with the word credit. Fine, maybe she was confused. But they dont take credit cards! Not a real post office. This place is a nightmare. Needless to say, I left without mailing anything. And to the reviewers who say maybe more customers should be nice? Please, I was friendly and courteous from start to finish.

Annoying that this is listed AS a post office. It’s not. And they only take cash (is it 2019 or am I mistaken???) so if you’re not prepared for that be prepared to pay the ATM fee or run to a bank. Cash only - Have cash with you and its a breeze. The ladies at the counter were professional and efficient. Mailed off two packages with no problems.

Ive had a box there for three years and consider it one of the best small decisions Ive ever made. I have had great service from the staff, and because I travel a lot, I know my mail and large shipments will be well taken care of in my absence. Much better service than the Post Office!

Not the place to head to if you need a legitimate post office, and youre running close to 5 (the posted closing time). Came in at 4:45, had to pull Cash from the ATM next door because they dont take cards. They dont issue receipts beyond handwritten slips. Clerk told me to be quick about getting my cash because the mail guy was only there for another 5 minutes. Whenever he wants to leave, he makes the rules. Had a parcel they asked if I wanted Priority, I said no, then they said to Seattle you dont have a choice-- it was under 10 bucks and I didnt have time to question it. She told me next time come a little earlier. I told her I would have gone to a regular post office if I had realized this was not one. I left at 4:50, they still had ten minutes but felt the need to pressure me to rush and chastise me for coming in at 4:45. Terrible experience. I guess this is why they didnt have a line...

Clerk at the counter was extremely rude! It isnt even a real post office! I took my business elsewhere and I suggest you save some time and money on the extra fees and go to a real post office where people are helpful without being condescending.

These ladies dont give a poop about their jobs. Even worse, you have to work hard to wean basic information out of them, like will this package ship?. When they do answer your question, theyll do it with a grudge. I might have actually had better service at Walmart in the past :(

I dont understand all the hate. I go there once every two or three months to send a package, buy stamps, or whatnot. Always friendly, helpful, my mail always gets where it needs to do. Yes, sometimes a little slow but arent all Post Offices slow?

The WORST customer service! I was in line for over 20 minutes, with only 3 people in front of me, because they were doing their chores (counting stamps etc) rather than waiting on the people who were in front of them. Seriously.... they just went about their business and ignored the growing line of people. Then when I handed her the padded, flat rated postal envelope, she acted like she had never seen one in her life, had no idea what it was, then stated they didnt sell them, so she didnt know how much the postage was. Huh? Arent they a certified postal provider?? Not to mention she says the same thing every time I mail one! Incompetance and no idea what real customer service is..... the same thing has happened almost every time I have gone there. Next time I will go to a real post office....

I arrived at 4:52 and was refused service despite no other customers being there. Everyone was very short and proceeded to just carry on their conversation and provided 0 help. If you can avoid this post office, please do. This was one of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

The women who has helped me several times is all business, (she does know what shes talking about) and she can be nice if you are nice. I have never had to wait at all.

I concur never will I ever go to this place... Word of advice never use a rude tone with a friendly customer. Someone must have peed in her cereal.

Do not come here. Terribly rude customer service and archaic processing procedures compound upon the fact that they are not even a real post office. Just save yourself the time and frustration by heading to the office on 50th and Sandy, where operations are always very professional, courteous, and helpful.

Tried to send a package and the lady was extremely rude. I needed a label printed off and she wouldnt even do that. She told me to go to 50th and Sandy to get a label and then bring it back? Couldnt even do her job.

This is the second time Ive tried this place. The women who work here are so RUDE and couldnt be bothered by my businesses. Owner is cheap, would rather turn people away then pay the fees to take debit cards. Avoid at all costs just go to a real post office.

I came here regardless of all the terrible reviews... simply because it was closest to me at the time. I went in just to drop off 2 packages that were all ready to go...and the lady immediately yelled that those arent just given out and I needed to buy them....I told her I got them another location and was just dropping them off. Then she looked at me and said...yeah, this is where you drop them off...youre the one who came in her looking to drop them off, didnt you? And when I told her that I was responding to the fact that she started off by telling me I needed to pay for the boxes as I walked in the entrance she seriously said to me I wasnt even talking to you ....Like I was the one in the wrong for coming Im with 2 boxes to ship? What! I went In willing to give the benefit of the doubt...Im sorry but I will not be coming back. 👎

Doesnt accept credit card payment. Seriously, in 2018, this post office doesnt accept credit card payment. Some people might find that old-fashioned and charming but, within the context of the US Postal System, I find it anachronistic and inconvenient.

Had to get a letter postmarked TODAY, New Years Eve, woman working was very helpful, post marked my letter in front of me.

They were so helpful and made me feel comfortable while mailing strangely shaped items.

Lady at front desk on 6/10/19 was extremely rude and refused to take my mail and package at 4:50pm. She told me my only option was to chase down the USPS truck and try to hand it off to him. Terrible service that should be addressed.

Horrible phone service, takes a while to figure out how to get a real person then be prepared to wait an hour. I appreciate the people who deliver the mail in all seasons.

This is NOT A POST OFFICE. It’s some weird package handling service in the middle of a hair salon and a vintage (junk) store that takes CASH ONLY. How can you BUSINESS SHIP HERE?! Avoid at all costs. The fact they have a post office designation should literally be illegal.

I have never had so many issues getting packages on time or even getting them, today i should have gotten a package but for some reason the person delivering the mail decided today my address was undeliverable yet i get packages sent to my addy all the time. im not sure whats going on with this station but i think they need to start drug testing.

USPS steals your mail, loses it, and doesnt do anything when you tell them its lost. Dont bother, FedEx or UPS is worth the extra money.
