I walked in one morning nine days before my 25th anniversary with a sketch of a ring I wanted to give my wife. By the end of the day with Scott’s help we had pretty much finished up the design. He said they were about three weeks out but would do their best. Turns out that they got it done by our anniversary. Under promise and over deliver baby. That’s how you do it. This whole process was a bunch of fun and was made all the better by Scott’s enthusiasm, laid back professionalism, and excellent communication skills. Ari’s will get all my future jewelry business. When it came time to find an engagement ring, I had a very specific idea of what I wanted, including a diamond that had been passed down through the family. We met with Scott at Ari first and then visited several other custom Jewelers in Portland before returning to Ari. He was by far the most patient and transparent of everyone we talked to. Most couldnt even give us specific pricing details while Scott broke down everything line by line and helped us plan something that matched my vision but was within our budget. We ended up with a beautiful and unique Platinum ring that appraised for more than we paid for it and cost 50% less than what some other stores were estimating.Other reviewers mention that this place is very casual and thats true but it was perfect for us. Id much rather talk to the guy making my jewelry than a suited-up salesperson who cant answer my questions.I happily plan to make Ari Diamonds my long-term jeweler.

My (now) Fiance and I came in with little to no knowledge on wedding rings or jewelry in general. Scott was so amazingly helpful and explained everything clearly and taught us a lot.  From the options on style, setting, color, cut, clarity, cost (and more) until we felt totally comfortable making a decision. Scott is amazing. He made my wife’s engagement ring and then a year later made the attached wedding band. My wife didn’t want to go the traditional (cookie cutter) route and found a picture of the ring she wanted. It was different/detailed and Scott was able to reproduce it exactly using only a picture. He provided 3D drawings of the ring and allowed as many revisions as I wanted (I didn’t require any revisions) before he created the physical ring. Not only did I save thousands, but my wife got exactly what she wanted. I would definitely recommend Scott to anyone looking to buy an engagement ring. Find a picture of what you want, send it to Scott, and he’ll recreate it exactly.

My fiancee and I had our wedding bands and her engagement ring made here. Scotty was great and worked through several revisions on the engagement ring. The wedding bands were less involved, but equally satisfying. The process was made easier because he had her engagement ring on file.

Working with Scott was amazing. I live out of state so I was unable to actually visit and look at rings in person. I found a ring I liked for my fiancé on their website so I called Scott and he was able to tell me about the ring and quote me for everything. Throughout the process of designing the ring, casting it, and setting the diamonds Scott kept me up-to-date and sent pictures of the different steps. I had a personal center diamond for the ring I was having them put it in the ring for me. A day before the ring was going to be shipped to me the store was robbed and my ring (along with others) was stolen! However, Scott was very apologetic and even replaced my center diamond with a bigger and better quality diamond as well as gave me a discount on the whole ring! He took care of me and had the new ring remade very quickly. My fiancé loves the ring. Couldnt be happier with the service.

Nothing but good things to say about this business. I recently got engaged and the ring was just a little too big and I needed it resized. I called and visited several different places, and all quoted 1-2 weeks and some did not do it in house. The second I walked into this place they made me feel comfortable and explained the process thoroughly AND could get it back in 24 hours. I am so happy!

Ari Diamonds is the only jeweler I ever plan to use. Scott, the owner, is awesome. He’s super personable, non-pretentious and listens to exactly what you want and need. And most importantly, they delivered exactly what I was hoping for even though I was seeking a difficult and intricate design. We get asked if the ring was Tacori or other designer brands and even though it looks like it is, it was much less expensive and looks just as good, if not better. My fiance and I both got our fingers sized here before shopping for rings. We ended up ordering rings elsewhere and had to send them back to get resized because they didnt measure us properly. Costing us money and time. I was considering having them fix their mistake, but questioned their competence. Dont have your finger sized there!!!

My husband, at the time Fiancee found Scott (owner) who agreed to work with me to design my engagement ring and select the stones. Scott took my hand drawings, made a wax mold to fit the diamonds I selected. The whole process was fascinating, engaging and I so loved the personal aspect of having a custom ring made, they even created heart shaped tips on my prongs based on my drawing. I get comments on my ring daily and Scott couldnt have been any easier to work with. He does beautiful work, a true craftsman!

We purchased our wedding rings from Ari and came back to him years later to modify them for our anniversary. We also purchased a custom mothers ring for my wife from Scott and she loves it. Purchased 2 custom designed rings about 10 years ago. Always get compliments on the design. I agree with others, custom does not mean expensive. Very friendly and professional through the years with checking and cleaning.

Weve been going to Scott for over 20 years. Weve bought wedding rings that Scott designed especially for me, a beautiful ring Scott designed for my mom with each of my sisters birthstones, necklaces, and pendants. To top all customer service of all time my mom was in the hospital and needed a ring cut off her finger that she wouldnt let the hospital staff do because it was a ring shes worn since she was 16 (shes 75 now). My mom said she would only trust Scott to do it. I called him and he was here in 20 minutes! Amazing, thank you Scott!! A family business with true family values!

Scott provided a wonderful experience! I am a very discerning customer and spent a long time scouring the internet for the best deals. I needed an engagement ring for my (then) girlfriend. I happen to have noticed the shop when driving by before and out of curiosity stopped by just to browse. Scott loves making custom jewelry, and it shows. I never would have thought that custom jewelry could be so affordable. I did end up spending more than my favorite online ring, but I got so much more for my money that it wouldnt even be a fair comparison. And everyone thats seen the ring is so impressed with the extra meaning behind the custom job. Needless to say my (now) fiancé LOVED it!Heres how it works: Meet Scott and describe what youd like made (motifs, stones, metal, etc...). Then hell make a design on his computer and send you the pictures to approve. Next step, hell cut the ring out of wax with a fancy machine. Then you can come in to see and approve it. After that, youll come in for the final product.The best thing about Scott is his willingness to accommodate your needs. Great experience and I would recommend to everyone!

I needed my ring to be completed in less than a week and Scott got it done! Not only did he do everything that I had asked, he went above and beyond actually making two rings for me too compare, just to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted! The price was very reasonable which actually surprised me. For the high quality custom design that I wanted, I expected to pay much more than a pre-made factory ring, but the price was actually about the same price. The ring he made, WOW, my now fiance thinks it is THE BEST engagement ring she has ever seen.
