We are remodeling our upstairs bathroom and taking on the majority of the work ourselves. However when I got to tiling, I found that I was quickly in over my head. I reached out to multiple tile installers, but Dirk over at Hawthorne Tile by far made the best impression. He was very personable and friendly and just an overall all pleasure to work with.The installer Serge was equally friendly and personable and his work is phenomenal. I am extremely happy with the end result and I couldnt recommend Hawthorne Tile enough. Bravo!

Hawthorne Tile replaced the flooring of our half-bath laundry room. The house was built in 1915 and we wanted the flooring to match the original 1-inch hex tile in our full bathroom. They paid attention to detail throughout the entire project. Given the pandemic, we had to change our plans due to unforeseen delays with other subs and Dirk was extremely accommodating. The crew was personable and professional. They kept on schedule and budget. I can’t recommend Hawthorne Tile enough!

With a list of a Dozen Tile installers, I chose Hawthorne Tile- Wow, I was totally impressed with Travis historical knowledge. No need to look elsewhere! The work was excellent and definitely met expectations of 2 Artists here! Tile removal and restoration all performed by Doug.1927 Fireplace Tile restoration. Discovered this tile is by Muresque Tile CA.See Left pic is the original which isnt visible but the tile was separating from the mortar. All tiles were removed and sub structure re worked. The Right pic shows the finished restored fireplace. Years ago built ives on for years more! Totally happy and dont think I need to look elsewhere when it comes to the talent in tile application!

Hawthorne Tile removed and replaced the hearth on my fireplace. The house was built in 1940 and it was important to me that the age of the house be honored in the style of work that was done. Serge was fantastic. I highly recommend Hawthorne Tile!

This is long overdue but I have to express our gratitude for the phenomenal work that was done by Hawthorne Tile. We reached out to them a few months (in February) after our bathroom was worked on by the first contractor poorly. It was so stressful that we had to ask them to leave even though the work was not quite completed. We were nervous in reaching out to anyone after that but we knew we did not want our first remodel project to look so terrible. So we decided to take a chance and are so glad we did! Hawthorne Tile is our tile company for as long as we are in Portland! Travis Schreffler was our Project Manager and from the first time we met him, we knew this would be a great experience. He helped us through every aspect of it, including the design! His creative and keen aptitude for design is one of his many great qualities that makes him an excellent Project Manager. Since this was our 2nd time spending money and time on the same bathroom, we needed for it to be perfect and he understood this! He was instrumental in helping us pick the right materials in the color scheme we desired and put all the pieces together perfectly. In a 2 hour period at the showroom, we had picked the perfect tiles in the colors we desired. He took care of the rest, ordering everything including these cool black shelves. Joppe Aguirre, our Tile Installer was a god send. He was meticulous, patient, took his time to make sure every detail, every tile, every single step in the process was executed perfectly. We were in awe everyday we went to look at the bathroom after he was done. He always left the job site clean and tidy and it was such a pleasure to see his magic unfold in front of our eyes everyday. Travis Schreffler even gave us a sheet of all the relevant professionals we needed to get the job done including the deconstruction company (Lovett Deconstruction) who were so good and fast, we hardly realized they were here and when they left the space was clean as could be! Also on the list were plumber, electrician and Shower door installation company references. We knew we could trust these people as they came recommended by Hawthorne Tile. And they were absolutely great! We have found our go to plumber (Direct Plumbing, Anthony Anderson) and electrician (Power Electric Inc, David Portash) and would call them again and again when needed. We could not be happier with the Shower Door Installation company, they were respectful and considerate (even tried to get our old shower door to work before suggesting we buy a new one) and got the job done flawlessly. Overall, we could not recommend Hawthorne Tile enough. Cant wait to work with them on our Kitchen! They transformed our bathroom! We are so grateful!
