Back Bay Customs did extensive work on two vehicles I have been involved with. The first was a one-of-a-kind custom project while the second was a classic in need of restoration. Both projects turned out beautifully. I have visited the shop in Portland many times and have gotten to know Adam and some of the other team members. We get to see the skillful results of their work on a near daily basis. This is what I can tell you: They are practiced in the principals and methods of all vehicle systems. They are fluent in frames, suspension systems, power-trains, brakes, body & sheet metal, electrical systems, interiors, paints & finishes – you name it. Adam and team possess an uncommon level of knowledge, skill and shop resources. This enables them to take on challenging projects and deliver unique high-quality custom builds. They are skilled in all disciplines of metal fabrication. The vehicles Ive seen Back Bay work on frequently receive complements from complete strangers. Adam and the team are enthusiastic, motivated, courteous and easy to work with. I unhesitatingly recommend.

Id had a hard time finding people who would take the time to weld stainless properly. These gents were great and actually did a better job than the factory welds on the downpipe. This might actually have been the first automotive labor transaction I walked away from with a smile on my face.

Where do I start...Well, first I have to say that Back Bay Customs understands the importance and value in not only building beautiful cars but also building relationships with people. Working directly with Adam at BBC was fantastic, hes a text book car guy that is passionate, professional and attentive to the client and build. Second, the craft exhibited at BBC was true wizardry, every time I visited the shop I just loved watching the magic. We brought our 1966 Bel Air Wagon in for a thorough sorting of the exhaust, suspension, steering, electrical and brakes. Adam and crew hand made the most amazing 3 dual exhaust that was the piece-de-resistance of the entire build. Watching the fabrication process was witnessing art in motion as BBC are masters of old school hand work in new school contexts, being able to seamlessly bridge art and technology in the custom build process. Bottom line was the build was as much an important part of the journey for us as was putting the pedal to the floor when it was all complete. Adam and crew recognized that from day one. Hats off to Back Bay Customs!

When it comes to your Overland needs. Ozark Overland Outfitters is the way to go. Jason is a genius when it comes to anything toyota and has the knowledge to turn any rig you have into a overlanding machine. When youre in West Plains swing by you wont be sorry.
