Brady and Carlos are the best! Keeping my ole car alive.
Brady & Carlos were class act. Gave me an upfront & realistic evaluation of my car that had been sitting for a year. Reminds me of where I come from, the country, where people actually care about helping others & doing fair/honest work. They also went above & beyond for me and didnt have to do that. I appreciate their courtesy, work & advice.
I happened to break down 2 blocks from this shop and ended up needing a starter. They were so friendly and fun to talk to. It was like we were old friends. They helped me promptly get a new starter so I could drive back to Eugene. Sadly, despite it being a new OEM starter, the part failed and I couldnt take it back to his shop so he worked with my shop down here to get another starter put in at no cost to me! Im so grateful I was blessed to get help from this shop. My shop in Eugene confirmed that the starter was installed correctly and its failure was not due to Import Repair Center. They have integrity and stood behind their warranty. I am so impressed with the character of this shop and would trust them to work on my vehicles anytime. I know it can be hard to find a shop you can trust, dont hesitate to take your vehicle to them, they will take good care of you!
Brady and Carlos are great! Always give you a good deal and a great assessment of your car. Will be honest and straight up with you.
I would like to provide this necessary disclosure right out of the gate: Most reviews on businesses are written when clients have either exceptionally good or exceptionally bad experiences so it’s best to take online reviews, including mine, with a grain of salt. With that said, I had an exceptionally bad experience at Import Repair Center, inc. I don’t think that I have ever written a negative review of a business but boy, was I COMPELLED. Here’s the short version. Called to get a quote for 4 engine mount replacements and was told that they don’t do quotes over the phone but that I should bring my car in and that they open at 7 am. They would do the diagnosis and then let me know the issue in a few hours. Brady also assured me that my car would be ready by the end of the day. This was important because I had appointments the following day that I needed my car for. When they conducted their diagnosis, I was told that they only needed to replace 2 of the engine mounts, not the four that I had been told at the previous mechanic. Apparently, in addition to the engine mounts, my car also needed a transmission mount, a part that they would have to order. Brady said he would try to get the part in by the end of the day and finish installing it on my car. This was around 1 pm. At no point did Brady think to mention that their business hours were 6am-4pm, not 8am-6pm as google + yelp state. Not only did Brady NOT communicate that he was unable to get the part in that day and that my car would not be ready as he’d promised, he acted as though I was the one being unreasonable for insisting that I pick up my unfinished car so I could drive it the next day to my appointments. He was very unprofessional and stated “well I guess I’ll have to drive all back to the shop and get your car down and have it ready for you” before hanging up on me. Only upon arrival did Brady mention their amended business hours. He failed to let me know that my car wasn’t going to be ready before closing time and then acted indignant when I called during the advertised business hours. I came in and picked up my car and told him that I’d bring it by the following week (the soonest they had openings again) for them to complete the job.Yesterday, I brought my car in at 6:45 am because Brady made it a point to tell me that they opened at 6:00 am. When no one had arrived on the premises by 7:15, I dropped my keys off in the mail slot and walked home. I called around 9am to make sure that they received my keys alright and had started working on it. Brady said that they should be done in the next 60-90 minutes.. When I called in the afternoon around 1pm (almost 3 hours after he said it would be ready by) for an update, I was told that they actually wanted to replace four of the mounts and not two as they had previously stated. Fine. I was interrupted when I tried to explain that I had a meeting at 4 pm and Brady kept assuring me that it would be ready in time without knowing exactly when I needed it by. This guy calls me at 3:50 pm to tell me that it’s ready. I was prepping for my meeting and missed his call. He leaves several voicemails telling me my car was ready, including one voicemail where he fails to hang up and can be heard speaking poorly about me to his coworkers.Brady + his mechanics displayed extremely poor communication skills--skills that should be the bare minimum for any customer-facing establishment. It’s also worth mentioning that I am a black woman and I can’t help but wonder if that is the reason for my poor treatment. Most of these reviews are extremely positive so I am wondering why my treatment was the anomaly.
Spoke on phone with Brady, owner, at least 3 times before set appt.(10 days out). He assured me he remembered my vehicle from prior owner and concurred it was a gem. Day of appt. He was 4 hours late, vehicle hadnt even been looked at and Brady told me it was a lemon, he told seller never to sell to someone he knows, its not worth the tires I purchased within last hour. This guys a total flake and cost me so much time(money) its pathetic. DO NOT USE THUS DUDE. FLAKE O RAMA. Mentally unhealthy. This costs clients money, bottom line.
Carlos and Brady always provide stellar support for me and my vehicle. I appreciate their years of experience and sound advice!
This team approach to business is refreshing. About to get ripped off at the dealership again I decided to check here after reading their excellent reviews. I was not disappointed. I will be taking all my cars here in the future. Imagine charging a far price for repairs while making a responsible profit. What a concept. Dealer quote $1200. Price here $240 which was less than their quote. Unless you have extra cash to burn this is the place to have your car serviced.
Quick and quality service with fair pricing
I love these guys always fair always honest always works with me on the budget i have...never felt like I been bamboozled by them ever ill always be a faithful customer and recommend all I talk to about work for a car...take up to them theyll help u
I have been putting off going to the mechanic because I bought an 09 Subaru lemon from a used car dealership in Vancouver and have had nothing but problems with it and didnt want to know how bad they were. Finally because their reviews are so great and they specialize in Subarus, I called. From the get go the owner treated me like I was intelligent (I was feeling like that was debatable at this point in the car saga) and like he had all the time in the world to hear my story. At first he couldnt get me in until the following week, and then he suggested I just bring it down for a code read so he could know more what he would need to do next week. When I got there it read many many catastrophic codes and he gently told me it wasnt something they would fix and would be more expensive than the value of the car and gave me suggestions for where to take it. We discussed my options at length and then he decided to check something else, popped my hood, refilled my very empty oil reservoir and gave me step by step instructions on how (together) we were going to watch and diagnose my car over the next 3,000 miles with 500 mile check ins at their shop. Cross your fingers for me, but regardless I am beyond grateful I called and went down. I will be sending any and all work to them and when I have to buy a new car, I will be getting a pre purchase inspection from them! Impressed with their knowledge, their thoroughness, their honesty and their pricing.
I’m not a review kind of guy, as I think they’re too often for people who need therapy about a bad meal experience. But, I felt the moral obligation to say thanks to Import Repair Center for an all around honest experience fixing my Outback. There’s a reason this repair shop gets a lot of five star reviews. Brady and Carlos are honest and hard working mechanics. They deserve the credit and recognition, so I write this review as a way of saying: thank you. There needs to be more repair shops that make you walk away with a good feeling. This is one of those gems. Brady gave me an honest quote, Carlos did the repair quickly, and they even showed me all the fixes completed on the vehicle.IRC is really built on the back of two honest mechanics. Thanks again fellas. It’s nice to have a local mechanic I can trust.Mic drop,Ryan T.
Ive taken my cars there several times. They have always given me incredible work at a fair price. They are very up front with me on price and how long repairs will take. No messing around. Very professional and friendly.
Specializes in Subarus, so I took my Forester in for a check engine light that came up. They looked at my car, called me within a few hours to explain the problem, and had my car back to me the next day. The mechanics called around to get me the best price possible and managed to get me a great price! Love this place! Quick, easy, reliable. definitely recommend if you need a good Subaru mechanic
The mechanics here not only do quality work at prices far lower than their competitors, but have great attitudes and are incredibly helpful on top of it. I will be returning only to import repair center for any future issues.
Very helpful guys, cleared codes on my vehicle and helped me figure out the problem with important codes.
My trusty 2005 Sienna started exhibit a mystery vibration and it wasnt getting better on its own! I feel very lucky Brady was available to diagnose and repair my problem. I was impressed at how thoughtful and thorough he was - he obviously put a lot into finding a solution before he turned a wrench. My wifes car just blew up so hell be seeing us in a few minutes...
My car sat there for almost 3 weeks for them to troubleshoot it for 6 hours. Very poor communication as well but I guess thats to be expected when theres only one employee at the shop a majority of the time.
The positive reviews are not hype. Expect fair and honest treatment. If they think another business will be more effective addressing your issue they will refer you them. Great integrity all around.
I am so happy I found Import Repair Center. Brady and Carlos are fantastic. They have done such a great job with my families vehicles that I cannot say enough good things about the quality of service Ive received. You will not regret bringing your vehicle to them.
Great customer service No haggling needed great prices
Brady and Carlos are top notch. If you are looking for a trusted and honest auto shop, look no further. This is it. And i dont own own an import car. Great guys. Try em
A friend recommended Brady and his auto shop after we couldnt get into our regular mechanic. Needless to say, this will be our go-to moving forward. The service was fast, incredibly well priced and overall incredibly pleasant. Im not thrilled our car was in the shop but pleased it lead us to Brady and Import Repair Center.
Honest answers, fix it once.
They will work hard for your business. Specialists in Subaru, never go to the dealership over this shop.
Brady and Carlos are GREAT! We take our Mercedes and BMW there and they took care of everything. Very honest, reliable, and just good guys. We love going to Import Repair!
Great service, really friendly guy! felt very taken care off. I am from Germany and a women who knows nothing about cars but he took the time to explain everything in detail.would come back anytime and recommend him to anyone who asks!
These guys are awesome ! knowledgeable and really care about their customers visiting here from Florida and they got me fixed and on the road again Id highly recommend them.
Simply the best mechanic I have ever met. I now consider him a friend. I would not bring my Toyotas anywhere else. Looking forward to seeing him soon.
First time customer - will definitely be back. Brady and his staff are VERY qualified in European cars. I visited Brady on a word-of-mouth recommendation to have a wheel bearing in my Jaguar replaced. Brady gave me a provisional quote for the work over the phone. Once the car was on the lift and the wheel was off, Brady took me out to the car and described the situation exactly, pointing everything out as he found it. He also took the time to tell me what was both good and bad about the condition of my 14 year old cars engine, belts, suspension and brakes. He did the work he said he would, and delivered the car ahead of his time estimate. These guys are knowledgable, easy to talk to, accurate and trustworthy. If I could visit the shop that the Car Talk guys ran, Im sure it was this kind of a place.
Brady and his staff are amazing!! He always works my car in and manages to fix it very quickly and as cheap as possible...I always walk away feeling secure in knowing they did what was best for my car and me!
Did a great job on repairs to my older Mercedes at a fraction of the price Id been used to paying.
So happy with my experience. Replaced all the belts (including timing belt), new spark plugs, and a valve cover gasket for $500 on my 2007 Hyundai Accent. Thanks guys!
I always have taken my cars to Brady. They are very efficient and very good mechanics. I wont go anywhere else.
Super solid guy. Repaired my brakes for a very fair price. They have a Subaru specialist on staff. I recommend him to all my friends
Simply amazing service! Brady and Carlos spent a lot of time and effort getting a dead engine out of my 4-Runner and getting me back on the road. They have earned my business from now on.
Brady and Carlos are very knowledgeable and definately will work to solve your cars problem keeping costs at a minimum....they are very accomodating and personable...
Cant say enough positive things about Brady and Carlos.I used to worry about not being a car person and getting ripped off. Id get multiple quotes and insist on removed parts being given back to me so I could prove if a mechanic did me wrong.Left today after my 3rd visit in several years and was again shocked at how low my bill was. They charged less to fix the problem than other shops wanted just to diagnose it.Its awesome to know I can now just drop my car off and trust its in good hands. No more obsessing. I trust these guys.
Grady & Carlos are the best!! Hes a great guy, a good mechanic and VERY fair. Id send anyone there for any auto problems.
Brady cant be beat! He treats you as if you were family. Hes talked me out of more expensive repairs, recommended that I get rid of an unreliable car (Ive certainly never met a mechanic thats done that!), and always does business fairly. I cant say enough great things about him. Carlos is pretty top notch as well! :)
Been a customer here for four years. I agree with all that has been said positively. Such a great guy who you can trust to fix your car, charge a fair price, and most importantly, tell you when not to fix something. He refers out to good shops for jobs that can do it cheaper than he can (and still do the quality work he does). I have never had a mechanic I could truly trust 100% without any reservations. I hate to say that about mechanics in general but until Brady I never quite felt like I could trust a guy or a shop 100%. Every experience at Import Repair Center has been smooth, on time as promised, with positive results at a fair price. He treats his customers with respect, honesty, and like family. Case in point. I drove my family to South Lake Tahoe on Wednesday (3 kids, 1 dog, two adults, and a ton of gear). We overheated near Mt. Shasta City and the check engine lights came on, the van went into limpin mode, (wouldnt go into higher gears) and I was panicking. I called Brady, he talked me through getting the codes read from the vans computer at a shop in Mt. Shasta City. The dealership of course said looks like you need a new transmission, we can get you in next week,, maybe $3500 on a 97 van with 170K on it. I consulted with Brady, told him the codes and the symptoms, and he said to get back on the road, and call him again if I still had problems. Just clearing the codes and letting the van cool down a bit solved the problem. Well, the van did fine the rest of the way all the way to Tahoe, and the straight shot home again yesterday no problem. I spoke to Brady 5 times from the road, and he answered the phone every time knowing that I was in a potentially bad place with the family, the dog, in the middle nowhere in 100 degree heat. He took care of us.Ive only had great experiences with Brady and Carlos. If you want a great, versatile, honest, and affordable mechanic, this is the shop. Couple of extra stars added b/c he always gets me in quickly, and out the door as promised usually within 24 hours.
Finally, an honest mechanic… and a good man. Take your car to Bradey, you wont be sorry.
The only place I trust. Always honest and fair. Brady and Carlos know whats up!
Brady and Carlos are fantastic! They bent over backwards to help an out-of-town customer with a dead alternator - and on Christmas eve no less! Even though they were closed, Brady said to come on in and they would fix me up, which they did in short order.
Took my wifes car here and Brady probably saved us about $1000 over what the dealer would have done. Have not had an issue since.
Honest, direct, high quality repairs!
Consistently awesome service! Thank you!
Brady is my BOY!
Honest, no nonsense, trustworthy shop.
Nice local shop
Good work
