Seller Beware.... Worst customer service ever. Even after calling ahead to arrange a drop off to sell them a car, no one knew how to get my paperwork processed or issue me payment. Finally, I get a check. It had my name and their address on the Payee info. I asked for it to be corrected and they refused.After taking the check to B of A, where the account was held, I couldnt cash it. B of A refused it and told me to contact IAA to have a new check issues. After 4 hours I finally got the check cashed at B of A. The branch manager could have issued a new check, with my info on it, and solved the issue pretty quickly.Nope. Total waste of time.

Alot fewer cars than they used to have or just more bidders at the auctions. Still great deals.

The tractor drive should not receive his payment because his actions is a shame for so old guy. Im truck driver and he just ignored me many times for no reason.

It was a good place, but now, customer service is ruined by one employee, Jason. Who is rude, unprofessional and with a very bad attitude, telling customers to stop and shut up when there is no reason for that at all. This person, Jason, is not supposed to work at iaai, especially in a customer service department. Is embarrassment for iaai. One star is too much for the customer service done by Jason. He needs to find a new job.

Got into a car accident and they are polite to work with. Needed a stereo exchange done and they where fine with that. Just needed to replace it. Did lots of damage to the engine and body.Update Went back to see the amount of money. They showed me one amount and said he would send it to me and never did. Went back to get the check and the amount was lower. I really think that they lied to me.

I had an interesting purchase experience that I will call favorable.

Went with a friend. It was pretty fast. However the car couldnt be driven back to Seattle from Portland due to a busted radiator. So they let him leave it until he could tow it or come fix it and drive it home. I saw a lot of niiiiiice vehicles.

Got my stolen truck out for me to look at and were pleasant to deal with.

They sell vehicles that say they run and drive but then you get in them and drive 4 feet and the transmission slips and they wont do anything about it very poor customer service. in sales you will have a return or two but they think not to return anything. would not recommend this place to anyone

They pick up the cars with the front and loader with 15-ft forks and throw them onto a truck. Expect some damage.

People who work in the office are always in a bad mood. Especially a Hispanic woman. She is very rude and gets angry when you ask her questions.

WOW!! Very impressed with them...very professional! The yard is huge. It was clean and the staff is professional, courteous and knowledgable. They pulled our car out, let us get our belongings and away we went. I would highly recommend this business.

I do business with Insurance Auto Auctions because I have to. Theyre kind of the only game in town. But I will say is if youre interested in working with them, read all the fine print very carefully. They have stacked the deck in their favor and theyll find lots of ways to get you to pay extra money. Their fees are quite high as well. So be aware of those when youre bidding.

If you have your own tow truck, these guys will keep you busy. Good place to work for

Helpful and Very Friendly staff, great place to buy cars if you are into doing rebuilds. Warning about online buying, make sure that you want what you bid on because once you win its yours, if for some reason you accidentally hit the bid or buy now button there are no take backs or do overs.

Interesting place for sure. But they charge you a fee to bid on the trashed cars that they have. These cars need major repairs youre going to need to put lots of money in them. And you want money for me to buy them from you? Wow

My vehicle went to IAA off Vancouver for storage after an accident. I chose to buy the vehicle back. When contacting them to inquire about how to get it they were helpful, however after arranging for a tow I found that it had been damaged by them in their moving of my vehicle.Not pleased.

I just won a vehicle. Before that, I spent a lot of time to make choice, observe it etc.However, I got a message from auction:While you were the highest bidder on the vehicle listed below, your high bid did not meet the reserve price.  The seller declined your high bid... This vehicle has been removed from your account.The issue is that minimum price was not listed in vehicle info before the auction. Very disappointed.

Insurance Auto Auctions in Portland Oregon on 158th offers NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and removed the plates and tags off my car and through them away....Austin, the rookie at the counter, claims he told me they would be recycled if not removed prior to auction....he did not. He and other staff members were preoccupied with football games and didnt take the time to explain their procedures...nor is it in writing on their contract or web sites. As a gesture of good will they offered to let me look through their bins to find my plates. This is fraud and theft in my opinion. I was referred to these folks by Allstate Insurance and have notified Allstate of the sub-standard service, along with making a police report for theft and filing a complaint with the Department of Justice. Sites like these are important to warn people, at least there is some recourse in the public arena.

We went to use our account which turns out they had a ex employee as the owner. so after 2 hours of discussion and several emails we got it fixed. we are cleared to bid. This week I am looking at the cars and it says I can not bid at this location. I look at my profile and my registration expires in October so I call them. They say my registration expired in July and please pay 2 hundred dollars to renew. Last week I was clear to bid this week my registration expired three weeks ago. They had the owner wrong they had my expiration wrong and they did not care.

Bad service, the one who attends in Spanish Aida has no dealings with people, it seems she doesnt like her job and manager Kevin doesnt help at all, he just spends his time talking and laughing in his office and he cant help us. It took him more than 2 hours to help us. Dreadful, dont buy at this auction.They should better select their work team.
