I went to Nelson Glass because its 6 min. from my home, and I wanted to support a local business during COVID. I brought them a medicine cabinet door with a crack in the mirror. Nine months later the glass they repaired fell on the bathroom floor shattering. When I brought the pieces I could back to them, with a CC receipt, they told me that the materials that had failed werent theirs. They told me they would charge me $90. to come and measure and recharge me for the shattered door. I explained the someone could have been severely injured or killed. I was shocked that they werent jumping through hoops to service me. They told me to take me broken door and get it fixed elsewhere. I called Stamford Glass who does a lot of work for us, (we are hoteliers) but who I thought wouldnt want to be bothered. They showed me that the door was meant to have a double sided mirror, and that Nelso glued two mirrors together, that was too heavy for the glue. Im sure they do good work sometimes, but I certainly wouldnt risk a mistake like this, that a novice like me would never know, not to mention the tone and rudeness. There was never an, Oh my gosh, we are so sorry! What can we do to help you. Sometimes the cost of doing business means caring for the customer, even if you insist that it wasnt my material. It was, however, your crummy repair. Just be careful. The price might be right, but I know now theres a reason that the hotels use Stamford Glass.
Over the last 6 years Nelson has installed new windows and shower doors at our place. Nelson never disappoint. His prices are competitive and the work they do is outstanding!

I was told I would be called back to schedule an appointment because they were booked a week and a half ago and I never received the call. I called back last week to follow up and was told they could fit me in this week and they would call me back to schedule the appointment. I again never received a call back. I called again to follow up today after a full week and a half of waiting and was told to look for another provider because they were too busy. I waited almost two weeks in vain and should have been told from the first day they were “too busy”. Poor business practices.
