Great experience renting a pontoon on 2 separate days while vacationing in Cape Haze. Easy booking and accommodating. Fast in and out, great staff. Very enjoyable experience! Boats were in great shape. Will definitely use again on our next trip to the area.

Let me preface this review by saying we have owned numerous boats of our own, we aren’t novice boaters!Abe’s launched the 20ft Starcraft that we rented. We loaded the boat. As soon as 5 of us were on the boat it started taking on water. First thing you assume is maybe the plug isn’t in. David proceeds to go and talk to one of the workers and he proceeds to tell us that it is normal for the boat to take on water and that it was only taking on water because everyone was in the back of the boat (mind you there was one adult and two children in the rear at this point). He told me to turn the Bilge Pump on, which of course I had immediately turned the bilge pump on as soon as I saw water coming on board...like I said we know boats!The employee told me I didn’t turn it on because he couldn’t hear the pump running. Ya, dude it was on. You were wrong again! He was incredibly rude in his tone and tried to tell us we did not know what we were talking about.He reiterated several times that the boat was safe to take out. My father proceeds to lift the ski compartment and show him that there was 6inches of water in floor of the boat!Again, we aren’t novice boaters and I’m not putting my family in harms way because this employee doesn’t want to admit that the boat should not be taking on water and the bilge isn’t working well enough to pump the water out of the boat.He did finally get in the water (complained the whole time because it was going to be cold) to make sure the plug was in...which it was. So why is this boat taking on water? And why are you trying to convince us that this is acceptable? This is absurd!End of story, my kids were very disappointed but we are safe and that is what matters.I would NOT recommend Abe’s Boat Rentals and his employee needs to learn how to communicate respectfully!

Four couples rented the Avalon Tri-Toon for 1/2 day recently. We have rented similar boats from other companies for the past 4-5 years. Without question Abes far exceed all the other companies we had used. The staff was friendly, courteous and eager to help. We arrived about 1/2 hour early and they immediately launched the boat, giving us an extra 1/2 hour on the water. The boats was extremely clean and well-maintained - no torn seats, no stained upholstery, no dings or dents. The double Bimini top on this boat was a real plus; allowing us to be on the water but providing plenty of protection from the sun. Looking forward to out next venture with Abes!!

We rented a Scout center console fishing boat for 9 days and it was the highlight of our trip. The boat was a perfect fit for our family of five and we made lots of great memories snorkeling, fishing, and exploring the area. Thank you for an amazing experience from start to end, we can’t wait until we are back and can rent from them again.

My wife and I have rented boats from Abes a few times. First, were happy to say Abes owners are very customer oriented. We needed to change our schedule a couple times and they worked it out with us with no problem. Abes online reservation system is easy to use and the dock staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The center console boats we rented were clean, safe, reliable and well equipped. We rented a 12 person pontoon and had a blast. The boat was in great condition (unlike other rental companies we’ve used), it was comfortable and fast, and gave us no trouble. We will definitely rent from this place again! The staff was also very friendly and professional.

Great pontoon boat. There were 10 of us in our group. Excellent service from one of the owners. He helped us take our supplies (drinks and food) from our car to the boat. Very clean boat. We took the boat up and down the intercoastal. Took at break the stump pass beach area. Everything was ready when we got there at the marina. The marina was well organized and not super busy.

Awesome service! The pontoon boat was in great condition! The GPS made navigating from Cayo Costa to Lemon Bay a piece of cake. Spent the first day lounging in the shallows at Boca Grande then slow motored back to Palm Island. Second day was sight seeing, fishing and swimming around stump pass. We had close encounters with manatees and dolphins! The manatees came right up to the boat and wanted us to scratch their heads. The kids loved it! At stump pass the dolphins swam upside down at the bow at idel speed and we laughed with them eye to eye. Definatley doing this again. Best vaca ever!
