Very disappointed! I am a member and use ME all over the country. It is always hard to find a good therapist in a new location so I always rely on the receptionist. Every time I call a new location I explain specifically what I am looking for. Its pretty simple - light/medium touch for a relaxing Swedish massage. Relaxation is all I want and as a front line worker it is very much needed. No stretching, no heavy pressure points. Just a relaxing massage.Last week I was scheduled with Myra. She was recommended by the receptionist as a great fit. Unfortunately it was far from a good fit. In fact it was a miserable experience. Myra uses fast, fast, fast strokes. Almost as if she is in a rush. I learned after my massage when I checked out that this is the type of massage Myra performs. There was no relaxation what so ever and I should have spoken up or ended the massage. It is my fault for not doing so.When I checked out the receptionist apologized for any miscommunication and stated a manager would call me to follow up. It is a week later and I never received a call.Lesson learned this time around.One other thing that I was disappointed about. I received a phone call and text about masks being a requirement when entering the building but yet the two other customers in the lobby were not masked. If you are going to make it a requirement then please enforce it.UPDATE 9/12I spoke with Kassie the manager and she paired me with another therapist. I had my session tonight with Megan and she was fantastic! I cannot thank Kassie enough for following through and getting me a better fit. Booked a future session with Megan. Cant wait!

By far my favorite location! The exceptional service makes a huge difference in my overall experience. From walking in the door, during my appointment and even at check out, everyone on their staff is always so kind, calm and very educated on the service they provide. I always look forward to traveling down south so I can visit my home Massage Envy.

Massage was great, nice atmosphere. However, downfall is walking out all relaxed and 3 of the girls nicely continue to push for you to sign up for a monthly plan or buy multiple massages. I get its their job but dont push right after you have a massage. I want to remain relaxed.

I have been a member for 2 years customer service had been great. I wish I could remember the young girl whom I spoke with today. She was rude, kept cutting me off as I was trying to explain to her my frustration, kept laughing on the phone. Very immature, unprofessional, careless and had very poor nasty energy. The staff seem to turn over pretty quickly at this ME. No one seems to be on the same page. It’s a shame because I really enjoy the massage therapist but the front desk is starting to go down hill and fast😢 when I asked to speak to the manger the young girl replied “ she is too busy to talk to you, she is doing payroll” I guess loyal (tipping) customer are just dollar signs. 😠

Great experience from start to finish. I was gifted a massage by my boss for Christmas (want to show your associates appreciation? This is it!) I was a bit uncomfortable at the thought of having a male massage therapist but the professionalism I experienced from my very first massage here with Alex brought me back. I even signed up for a membership. During my most recent massage at ME I told Alex of a recent hiking trip I’d just returned from and he went above and beyond to take care of me. He even wrapped my feet in warm towels knowing I’d been on them all week long. How thoughtful!!! I’ve also had Trystan who was great!!! He too made me feel comfortable. He was also very professional and knowledgeable! Gabriella at the front desk is always such a pleasure, even over the phone! There was another woman at the front, I wish I’d got her name, beautiful with long dark hair, that was so so nice! Lorin, one of the owners of this location, is always a joy! You can tell their staff enjoys working here. Thank you! Best membership I’ve ever signed up for!

This place had no issues taking your money monthly. I have tried several times to cancel, was talked into a lower plan, went to cancel that one, they tried to keep my membership going. Then when I insisted on canceling, Veronica Badillo became rude. She informed me that the person who had taken care of my account was no longer there. So it doesn’t matter what I was told. You think that a place that took your money for month, I hadn’t used the service in over a year would have been happy with the free money they received. Sad!!!!!

This place cheats you on time. They shave a minimum of 10 minutes off any massage for you to get dressed, or nonsense talking about “where you’re from” so you’ll never get a full hour. They even disclose it on their pamphlets and I attached a picture below for you to read..

I would honestly give a 5 star review for the entire experience until the last 10 minutes before leaving. After experiencing a relaxing massage, try not to ambush the customer with suggestions/opinions for their repeat business. Even after declining multiple times the representative continued to repeat her sales pitch packed full of her personal experiences and suggestions for future visits. Her pitch almost got to the point of desperation, when I politely but sternly interrupted asking to just pay and leave. Maybe just bad timing on the request for repeat business.

Highly recommend this establishment for any wellness care that you desire. The massage therapists are top notch and the front desk personnel is very welcoming and courteous

My only regret with Massage Envy Port Charlotte is that I didnt schedule an appointment sooner! I have tried everything to manage my pain, from physical therapy to even getting injections! Coming in and seeing the therapists there has seriously helped me so much! They are all so knowledgeable and you can tell that this is truly a passion of theirs, not just a paycheck! The front staff is incredibly helpful, and so sweet, they really listen to you, and help match you with the perfect therapist! Ive seen a couple therapists there now and they have all been great!

Hubby and I went in for a couples massage. He had Mike and I had Ben. They were both wonderful. So was the front desk staff, they were so helpful and nice. Ben and Mike were very professional and courteous. They really listened and cared about what issues we wanted worked on. Highly recommend.

I ended up biting a monthly plan...For $60 bucks I get one 1 hour massage every month and additional treatments at just $40! The owner is on site and personally spoke with me as well. Absolutely awful. Husband bought me an hour facial and message as a gift, which were both great. But then you go to leave and their front desk staff hounds you and gangs up on you to sign up for a membership. I stupidly said yes just to get them to shut up. I give them my credit card for the reoccurring membership payments. I emailed 2 days later to cancel and it conveniently was “ never received”.In the mean time I lost my credit card and had to get a new one, so my first payment For the membership didn’t go through. They email me about the payment. Instead of helping me cancel it or waiting for me to provide them with my new credit card, they processed my husbands credit card without his permission! He never authorized reoccurring payments on his credit card, only the charge for the initial sessions.Then instead of just being helpful, the “administrator” says I refunded the payment and canceled but I would like to point out we never received a cancelation form from you.When I emailed it twice!

I had a deep tissue massage and it was great. The masseuse was skilled and did a great job releasing tension in my shoulders and neck. This location is well kept, clean, and the front desk staff are very friendly and courteous.

Was skeptical to come based on reviews. Happy I didn’t listen. Many of the negative reviews were based on the front desk and them trying to get you to sign up for a membership. However I did read a positive review that JORGE WAS AMAZING. So I tried him, he was absolutely wonderful! I am so relaxed. I didn’t want to leave. When I got to the front to pay it was a little annoying that they were trying to get me to sign up for a membership, after feeling super relaxed and refreshed. It did take away from that. I’m a mom and I’m lucky I got this time to myself today. Thankyou Jorge for such a relaxing massage!

Five star rating, from the moment you walk in the door for your session to the moment you leave afterwards. Everyone is very nice and welcoming as well as professional. The location is always clean and has some of the best prices. The services are great, everyone is very unique which is great to have! Wonderful place to relax!!

Dont sign up for the membership unless you plan to use it (Duh.. with anything) but if you use it once a one it is a very good deal. If you just pay for one message its a little pricey. Lots of therapist on staff, they can always work you in. Always clean and relaxing with friendly staff.

Ive been a member for almost a year. Ive never had a problem at this location. Front desk is very courteous and friendly. All of the therapists that have worked on me were friendly, professional and were skilled at their craft. Never left disappointed. The only negative incident I encountered, I got screwed on some gift points but that issue was eventually solved. Honest mistake.

Beware! Dont sign up for service unless you want to be stuck paying monthly for a year. I spoke with a csr who told me I can cancel my account any time as long as I give advance notice. The price was reasonable for the first visit only so I scheduled an appointment, however that was the bait to hook me up in a agreement for a year. I had service for a couple months then I decided to cancel it and then the nightmare started.1. Theres have to be a supervisor available to actually attempt to cancel your account. I called twice to cancel and either the supervisor was not there or was busy blah blah and I was told they need to speak with a supervisor first otherwise they cannot do anything. So I said to them to leave a note to them so they can get this taken care of.2. Theyll call you to remind you you cant cancel because you signed an agreement for a year, that simple. I woman called LORRAINE called me and, beware! She is very rude and always says that she is actually a relative of the owners and wont let you cancel. She wont let me explain my situation, she kept interrupting me and gave me no alternatives to cancel my account, she kept saying that my signature was there that I shouldve read everything before signing up and that it doesnt matter what I was told she wont cancel anything even though I was told otherwise. Needless to say that I feel ripped and that Id never recommend this place to anyone.

Rip off!!! Dont let the front desk sweet talkers fool you. My table had a broken headrest and when I told the sour therapist she said she had told them many times and just shrugged. After being assuted my therapist would customize the massage my therapist ignored my requests and said Id have to come back many times. Not likely!!

Just had a massage with Ben last night, he really knows his stuff! I’d definitely recommend him if you have any sort of injury, or need specific muscle adjustments. There was open communication, and he was very intuitive.After I left, I realized that I had asked for aromatherapy in the beginning and I guess the young lady at the front desk forgot. So that was a little disappointing. Other than that it was a great experience. Totally recommend Ben at Massage Envy!

So for quick context to anyone who may have read our previously negative review regarding difficulties canceling services- we were contacted by Loren at Massage Envy and the situation was immediately corrected. Turns out this Massage Envy is locally owned and operated and they are genuinely interested in customer feedback; a major plus in our book. The miscommunication was unfortunate but they 100% corrected it. In terms of the service, we were always happy with the quality and care given.

I voiced my displeasure and said I was not returning to the franchise owner, who laughed and told me how I only had to pay for 3 more months for something I wasnt going to use. We are visiting Punta Gorda/ Port Charlotte fm Chicago/NW IN. And we visited this M.E and had a LOVELY experience! We were able to book Two 60min massage for that same evening. The massage therapist I had, miss Chris, was awesome..and Myra, mu boyfriends therapist, he said was good too. The front desk staff was very nice and accommodating, and the tranquility room was much nicer than my home location. It was back behind/ inside not RIGHT OFF the main loby like mine at home is. And the port Charlotte location offers flavored water. And they are CHEAPER than my home M.E. It was also very clean and the decor was pleasant. Unfortunately for the staff the computer system sucks just like all of the massage envys that Ive visited..but i dont hold that against the staff. It is not their fault. I will be visiting this location again when were in the area. 💆💜💚

Had a scheduled appointment (made 3 weeks in advance). I called to inquire about a different time on that day, he didnt have anything else so I said oh ok, not thinking anything of it (btw she didnt ask on the phone if I was canceling or changing my appointment). My appointment day, get there, they call me by the wrong name, tell her my name, uh sorry dont have an appointment for you. They cancelled my appointment (I had my appointment card for proof) didnt matter all they said was sorry. So I get penalized for there mistake.

What youd expect from a chain: canned massage altho not terrible but I guess those are the kinds of massages/therapists you get for what they pay (you get what you pay for). A lil more than pushy regarding their membership but I guess thats their shtick & job. Worked in a pinch but wouldnt go back. The therapists were confused after offering us a couples room & my friend was initially taken to a separate room then asked to re-dress & come to the couples room with me & put on an un-heated table (had been previously given a warm table in the wrong room). So all that was a little awkward. The couples room was divided by an accordion style door that was noisily banged open to create the rooms. The rooms are too dark, gloomy & cold not dark, welcoming & relaxing. There are better places in the area for comparable price.

Now, was told I couldnt cancel unless I moved 25 miles away...youre kidding right?! Spoke to a manager at the Port Charlotte location who was rude and didnt help me at all. Its a scam and I wouldnt recommend them to anyone because of their unethical practices.

I was very disappointed with them. I booked online for my husband to get a 1 HR massage for his birthday. Booking online was easy and went well. I also received a voice message the night before to confirm, Lauren was the name she left on my answering machine. I called back and left a message confirming. The next day I drop my husband off with a kiss and a happy birthday but when he went inside a large woman behind the desk told him he didnt have an appointment. Then was a little rude asking, well did she call for an appointment or go online he said he didnt know. After about a minute she said she found the online appointment and that he could wait for the next masseuse or come another time! Right there! WTH! I made the appointment, you found it and now he has to wait like a walk-in??? Beyond disappointed! Especially for being new to Port Charlotte! Btw, for having massage in the name of their business, they dont do deep tissue massages per the front desk person! Pretty sad! Thought I would save $15 compared to where we always go...but that just tells ya, you get what you pay for.
