I doubt you can find an all-around better repair service. I chose him because of others reviews and even then was pleasantly surprised. Matt is in business for himself, and he is the one who shows up. Personable without talking your ear off, he gets right to work, knows what he is doing, explains clearly and does NOT overcharge for parts. I prefer keeping old appliances that can be fixed because the new ones have such a bad rep for quality and honoring service contracts. Matt got my old washer working in less time than we expected.

We called Matt from A-1 Appliance after LG repairmen botched the repair job. Matt was always on time and efficient. Unfortunately, he did everything he could to fix our refrigerator but after several attempts and being sent defective parts from LG we decided to get another refrigerator. I called Matthew, (first time) and he answered the phone right away. I explained my problem with my washer and he gave me some options of how to try to fix on my own. I did make an appointment, but after 2 loads of the washer now working ok, I was able to cancel my appointment. He didnt need to do that, he could have just come out and charged me.I put his name and number on my fridge for future reference, in case I need, I am definitely calling him! Prices he quoted were reasonable.

I recently bought a full appliance suite from Home Depot and when the instillation team came out they were not able to install the dishwasher. It was Super Bowl weekend of course. A1 Appliance was Great!!! My refrigerator wouldnt make ice and the water came out hot. Matt from A1 Appliance was friendly and more importantly honest. Instead of trying to sell me a new unit or some part I did not need he simply fixed my refrigerator at a very reasonable price. I would recommend A1 Appliance to any of my friends and family.

My garage freezer went out so I called Matt at A1. He came over, looked at the freezer. Did some diagnosing and ultimately gave me an estimate to replace the Compressor and Heat Exchanger, to the tune of $1000.00. I got a second opinion which properly diagnosed the problem only being a bad starting solenoid, which only cost me $180.00.......I nearly scrapped a good freezer in a time that no freezers are to be found...I will say he also installed an ice maker on my kitchen refrigerator and did that well.Follow up to responseI wanted to take a moment to clarify a few things regarding A1 Appliances response. First off, I have discarded the estimate / invoice from A1 and from the other appliance repair facility, which was Matt Sweeny Appliance Repair. Secondly, I am not looking for a refund in any way nor anything for free as it is stated. There are a few things that should be clarified regarding the response. This was not a GE Refrigerator, it is a Whirlpool Upright Freezer. The reason you may not find a Service Call charge on the original estimate / invoice is because it was applied to the installation of the kitchen freezer ice maker that was installed that day. Once I received the estimate for the garage freezer which stated that I needed a new Compressor (listed at over $400.00) and a Heat Exchanger which totaled over a $1000.00, I actually found a brand new OEM one on ebay and purchased it for $140.00. I then needed someone to install it, which is why I began calling other Appliance Repairmen. After calling several local ones and being told that none would install a third partys compressor and further said that it takes specifically qualified and licensed repairman to recharge the new compressor. This is how I came across Sweeny Appliance. When I spoke with him, he told me that he has seen this issue time and time again and was almost 100% sure that it was not a bad compressor and was quite possibly just a solenoid. He told me that he would stop by to give it a second opinion for $35.00. Which I agreed to. After Matt Sweeny diagnosed the problem to be the solenoid, he replaced it and the freezer has been working perfectly ever since. I was lucky enough to cancel my compressor purchase on Ebay before it was shipped. If as it is stated, the compressor was working perfectly at the time it was diagnosed, why was it listed on my estimate to be replaced? Along with the Heat Exchanger? I am sorry that you made a mistake in your diagnosis that you gave me, but that is what happened .

Absolutely the nicest guy you will ever meet. He came out right away and got to work and fix the problem within about 45 minutes. And all I was charged was the initial fee to come out. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Love this company, I am a customer for life!

Cannot say enough good about this company. Our refrigerator quit working on Saturday morning. Everyone else was either closed on Saturday or said they would not be able to send a technician until Monday or Tuesday. After my wife was told that no one could service our iced up Samsung Twin Cooling refrigerator, she called Matt at A1. He knew exactly what our problem was and how to fix it.
