I was taken aback by how unprofessional this place was. I’m going to do everything through the mail and their website from now on. It would have been nice to have been treated with a little human decency when I went in to ask a couple of questions because I have been dealing with a ton of health issues. When I went in I wasn’t feeling well as it was, but I was being really nice and respectful to the lady at the desk. It didn’t matter to her though. Even when I told her to “have a good day” she didn’t acknowledge my existence. If we can do all the paperwork and everything on their website, over email or through a phone call then what’s the point in having a place like this that treats people like they’re lower than dirt? I won’t be coming back here ever. I hope there’s a total staff overhaul, or this place just shuts down completely.

Its hard to believe how rude the staff is here, and they go out of their way to try to stop benefits every other month.

For some reason the Dropbox is closed and the doors are locked Does it make it very convenient when you have to turn in paperwork

The receptionist is always rude and unfriendly, i dont feel comfortable aking question or having to turn in paper work there. They act like they are doing you a favor for doing there job.

Best case workers and supervisors youll find truly caring for those they serve

Attached to SS services, you have to pick up a nasty phone to talk to them..not a good spot for them

This office is very lazy I think theyre only there to get a check from the state otherwise they are very unhelpful and also very rude you never can get ahold of them by their telephone number I dont think they know how to answer the phone also when you go in to take care of any of your business they have a tendency to lose your paperwork Do not drop it in there Dropbox if so it will never get to where its supposed to be outside of all that I think this office needs to be shut down so that way they can find a real job and do some work and you always have to call the 1-800 number to get any information I think the state has really screwed us royally because you can never talk to any of your social workers not even if you have an appointment because theyre never there and they also dont know how to take care of any of your business and it is very impersonal and very unprofessional so therefore I think this review out of be sent throughout the entire United States because this is not only Happening Here in Missouri but it also is all over in our country which means that people get to have a job that they sell on our butts and get paid for it and dont get nothing in return for the public that needs to be done when we need the help and this I find to be a travesty so they need to close the Poplar Bluff office and make them case workers if they want to call themselves that a job that they do and not set on their butts and get a check sincerely Papa Moonie

Dont bother trying to call to ask a simple question. Their phone just gives you other numbers to call. No one will ever pick up to answer you.

For the small town they are doing the best they can!

Kept getting requests for paperwork I had already filed at the office. I figured I was just confused and asked to speak to someone and was completely shut down and shooed out. I lost prenatal Medicaid briefly because of this. I also was referred to the hotline but was repeatedly (15 times in one day, no joke!) hung up on while being transferred to an eligibility specialist after being on hold for 1+ hours.

You can get help there with foodstamps, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
