Do not hire this company! Giovanni destroyed my house. The laminates swelled and formed bumps in several rooms in a month!!! I called Giovanni a thousand times; he replied he would come every time I called, but never showed up to fix those bumps. This makes him unreliable. Beginner level -the worst- work has been done! I had to hire a different company to fix their mistake. I recommend you to work with someone else.

I was under a very tight deadline and Giovanni called me back immediately and was able to start work within 48 hours. (I explained my situation and he was nice enough to rearrange his schedule to fit me in asap.) The work was done quickly, professionally, and turned out beautifully, all of which was at a very reasonable price. Giovanni is honest, straightforward, and down-to-earth – I didn’t feel in any way like I was being manipulated, getting the runaround, or dealing with corporate bureaucracy. Instead, it was a direct and uncomplicated negotiation, and the work was completed as exactly as promised. Giovanni is also extremely helpful. I am in the process of preparing an older house to be sold, and he was willing and able to explain some issues and repairs I needed to address elsewhere in the house (and even made a few repairs himself!). He is full of good information and insight about pretty much anything house-related. He is a true renaissance man!

The work Giovanni and his team did for us exceeded our expectations. We contracted to install a new hardwood floor in a 16 x 26 ft living room and to sand, stain and seal existing wood floors in 4 adjoining rooms and hallways. The new and existing floors turned out beautifully. You wouldn’t know they were laid at different times. The whole process was easy and very professional. They removed old carpeting, moved and replaced heavy pieces of furniture, and addressed any specific issues we had. We would highly recommend this vendor.

We have a small house that suffered from significant animal damage from the previous owners. Deep, saturated stains were everywhere. After moving in, we had the floors sanded and refinished by another company. They told us at the time that we would need to replace the entire floor if we wanted to get rid of the staining. After years of trying not to notice the damage, we thought of just installing Pergo over the existing floor. It seemed like the cost and efficacy of repairing and refinishing the hardwood would be impossible.Giovanni and his company were recommended to us by a friend. Gio came and took a look and showed us where boards could be replaced and the new ones feathered in to match the existing wood. Two other contractors we interviewed said that would be impossible, too expensive, wouldnt work, etc. Gio in his relaxed, easy way said that he could do it. No problem. Two other companies came in with estimates that were 3 times what APC was giving us. It made me wonder if Gio was wasnt experienced enough to deal with our situation and was missing something. I didnt want to get into a situation where after we were halfway through with a bad result and the cost would then need to double. The other guys were like, Oh, this is going to be really hard to do. These stains are impossible. The boards will never match...Very expensive - if the boards arent lined up within a fraction of a millimeter, it wont work... Wrong.The first round of sanding/restaining did surface old urine stains that were still in the remaining wood. In the past, weve worked with contractors who wouldnt want to fix it, who would say we should just live with it, or that the fix would be expensive. Giovanni immediately said, Oh, thats terrible. But then said that those boards would be replaced and he would make it perfect. No head-shaking, no piling on cost. Just easy. This was his entire attitude: Well take care of it.We are both artists and a bit compulsive about finishing and details. This was not a problem at all. Gio and his crew were consummate craftsmen and took care of every detail. The end result was beyond what we could have ever hoped for.I cant recommend APC any more highly. Their relaxed, professional attitude made a stressful renovation a relatively easy thing.Just hire this dude.

Giovanni came highly recommended from a friend of mine for installation of new hardwood floors. We were looking to have old hardwood pulled up in our new home, and new flooring put down, covering a total area of 900 square feet. Our home is fairly old, so we knew this wouldnt come without its surprises or difficulties. My wife and I were particularly concerned with the condition of the sub-floor and what impact this would have on the new finished flooring as well as pricing. Of the 4 professionals we had to the house for quotes, Gio was the only one who bothered to take the extra time and investigate the sub-floor from our basement and walk us through his perspective on expected trouble spots. We found Gio to be highly professional and extremely knowledgeable in terms of hardwood flooring right from the start. It was no surprise we opted to move forward with him and his crew.Gio and his team were able to begin on our project right away and showed up on-time on the intended start date. Gio never waivered from his original schedule or pricing, despite some set-backs on material acquisition due to COVID-19. Gio himself was always very responsive to text messages or calls, and was always easy to get a hold of for quick questions. His team was very respectful when in the home. My wife and I overlapped with them on some other work we were doing. You could tell they were passionate about the work and prided themselves on the quality of the finished product.The project itself called for installation of 2 3/4 red oak hardwood with sanding and staining on site. We had some more intricate designs in our plan, including double picture frame walnut borders and a herringbone pattern entryway. We had chosen red oak for all of the floors. All of the work came out beautifully. They even went above and beyond to level out some dips on the sub-floor prior to laying the new hardwood. The staining and poly work looks magnificent. Gio recommended a water-based stain and semi-gloss poly finish in lieu of oil. While initially apprehensive, we followed his advice and couldnt be happier with the result. I would recommend Gio and his team at APC to anyone in the market for new hardwood floors, and have already done so! Thanks, Gio!
