Was calling around to get a lift put on my truck. Called a couple of places they were either rude or really short with me. Until I found Darren at Mad Cow Customs. Darren took his time with me we went over everything.I bought all the parts from a lift to fender flares, running boards and whole new front end. This is definitely the place to go if you need custom work done. He is definitely up there with the best of them. The pricing was right on point. Anytime I had questions he had answers he is very knowledgeable and knows his stuff. I would recommend Darren to anyone that is looking for custom wok. Darren keep up the good work. Darren Jr. & Sr. are great guys to work with and really know their stuff. They are both extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the work they put out. Also, when you have any questions, they’re there to answer around the clock. Even after you pick up your vehicle after the work has been done and even when the shop is closed. You can feel confident bringing your vehicle there as they will be straight forward with you about the work being done. Their attention to detail is second to none. If they happen to find something else the vehicle needs, entirely despite what the vehicle is in the shop for, they’ll contact you and advise accordingly which is nice because there are absolutely shops out there that won’t tell you when they find something potentially catastrophic and just hand you the keys back. For the first time, I felt like I wasn’t being ripped off when having a vehicle built by a shop. They will let you know what it needs, doesn’t need, and may need down the road. They’re also willing to show you exactly what they did and how they did it which is nice for customers that want to learn a thing or two as well. If you have a budget, they will work with you & stay within it. I ended up selling the vehicle they previously built for me, and am very excited to show them what I just purchased to replace it and start the new build with them. Will likely be a life-long relationship with them. 10/10

Darren has installed my jeep wrangler, chevy Silverado and Chevy avalanche lift kits/leveling kits. Been going to them for years for all my off road truck needs. Going to bring them my 1999 ford ranger for a full lift kit and build soon!

Highly recommend. They did a fantastic job with my jeep and worked with my budget to pick the right parts and tires for my desired build. I felt confident handing my JL wrangler to these guys for install vs another shop given their many years of experience working on jeeps and trucks (some from the ground up!) and fair pricing.

Darren Jr. & Sr. Have gone above and beyond to work with me while building the American Hurricane. They’ve made several trips to me to pick up my Jeep while I was at work and delivered it back to me. Don’t know where you can go for that level of service. And questions concerns or hiccups along the way, Darren is responsive and gets on it quickly. Wouldn’t give my Jeep to anyone else.

Darren installed my 3.5 AEV lift. I was a complete noob and had no idea what direction I wanted to go with my Jeep. He was responsive and educational. Quick to answer any and all questions I had. A year later and the Jeep runs great. Will definitly go back for more work.You cant go wrong with getting work done by him.

Darren is nothing short is spectacular. He is prompt, responsive, very reasonable and is well extremely well versed in Jeeps, trucks, as well as classic muscle cars. He’s done work on my Jeep as well as my classic Malibu. All his work was immaculate and the attention to detail is bar none. Darren Jr. is the man when you need work on anything will wheels. 10/10 would recommend.

Darren Jr is a stand up dude that goes above and beyond with builds. Jeeps, Toyotas, or trucks, crawler or overlander, street rig or show he does it all. My Jeep club only trusts Mad Cow to build our rigs and trucks. SEMA builder without the big shop persona, hes one of us. If you check him out, take a look at his frame off square body builds too.

Darren worked on my Jeep a few years back, prior to him owning this shop and did it out of his garage in Bergen county, NJ. He definitely knows his way around a Wrangler and got all the work done but charged me through the roof for an at home operation (that he can only work on a few hours a day at night). In addition, he was and has been very unresponsive when i asked questions, had concerns, and reached out to him to do additional work! I have tried calling and texting him in the past and he does not respond. I still personally have an 3 unanswered message from him in the last year..... Also his 2, 5 star review are from his is his girlfriend and best friend so id imagine he gave them top of the line products and service... hopefully he has worked on his customer service skills and is more responsive.

Not only is Darren and his staff beyond knowledgeable within the automotive and customization aspects but they are great quality people as well. I would recommend the shop to anyone looking for great work, great prices and beyond satisfactory experience whether it be basic work to the most custom fabrications you can imagine.
