I volunteer with several local rescues including Lady Luck and the amazing Good Luck Cat Cafe. The entire team are kind hearted and adore the animals they rescue. They work around the clock ensuring the rescues are safe, vetted and loved. The Good Luck Cat Cafe is a wonderful place to meet the cats and a great way to adopt.Thank you to Kate, Laura and all the wonderful volunteers that make Lady Luck Animal Rescue an excellent South Florida rescue.
Lady Luck Animal Rescue is one of the best rescues I have interacted with. They are very dedicated to their mission of saving animal lives! Every animal that is adopted from them is proof of the wonderful work they are doing. The vetting process is very through, which may be the reason for the few negative reviews I’ve seen on here. However, I rent and was approved. It is so important to support the animal rescues that run solely on volunteers and donations like this one!
Unfortunately I had a bad experience dealing with these folks. To sum it up, I did everything I was asked only to have my phone calls and text messages ignored and ultimately my application denied and the dog I was looking to adopt was given to another person. Now, I consider myself an ideal candidate for adoption. Im wealthy, I have a stable life and I literally live on the beach. A dog’s paradise! I own a construction company so I travel from time time to Tampa to manage my projects. This apparently was not a great situation for their dog. The fact that the dog would have been by my side most of every single day because Im the boss and I can have my dog with all day at work if I want to, that apparently was not good enough as well. They assumed that I did not own a home, which means if you are a renter, DO NOT try and adopt from these folks. All in all, I did my part, submitted all my paperwork etc and for no sensible reason whatsoever, I was turned down. If you are looking to adopt, PLEASE use another Rescue Organization. You will have a much better chance of getting a dog and your time will not be completely wasted.Best of Luck to All of you in finding your future pet!!
The person dealing with the adoption app process is rude, Laura Summers. It doesnt matter what you say, it matters how you say those things. She needs to learn that. I know they want to make sure a pet will be ok after he/she is gone from their foster, but she is kinda aggressive saying I cant take out my future adopted kitten for a walk to the park. Thats not what they want for their pets. However, people can lie to you. I dont mind them talking to my HOA; I dont mind doing the video call to show them my place; I dont mind then coming to the bathroom with me if they want to, however its extreme for them to say they dont want me to take my cat to the park in a leash because they dont want their cats outdoors. But this story has a happy ending. I went and adopted another cat in a great place, less drama, Good Karma pet rescue. My new baby boy is lovely and beautiful. ❤️
Laura and Kate are two of the most passionate volunteers, they genuinely care about all of the rescues. I am grateful that I’ve gotten the chance to work with both of them.
I never made it to the original cat cafe location but was very happy when I heard they were going to a new location. I took the time to stop in a while back and see what it was all about.I was pleased to find people of many ages there to visit the cats and kittens. Some children were playing with them while others seemed to be debating their options of which kitty to take home. The volunteer staff were amazing and greeted you at the door to secure their precious occupants. They were very informative and helpful with my questions and told me the names of everyone there. If you love kitties but for some reason cant have one (or three), be sure to check it out! I cant wait to go back as I have heard they have expanded and are taking the utmost care to protect all from COVID-19. Adoption is the greatest gift you can give yourself while rescuing a life of another.
I was a foster for Lady Luck when I lived in FLorida and cared for numerous babies who then went to the cafe and finally into adoptive homes. I cannot stress enough how amazing this rescue is. The kittens are cared for from the first moment they enter a foster home, until they are adopted out of the cafe. Foster parents are supported with supplies and adequate vet care for their babies. And the adoption process is sensitive to both the best interests of the kitten, and respects the fosters who have put time, energy, and love into each baby they raise. The Cafe itself is staffed by a group of dedicated volunteers who love and come to know each cat that is housed there, and celebrates each adoption as a personal victory. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this rescue.
I love everything this rescue stands for. They find helpless animals and provide above and beyond to get them healthy and into loving homes. They take great care in finding the perfect match for each and every animal. I found this rescue through their cat cafe which is also so fun! Its called Good Luck Cat Cafe in Fort Lauderdale area and I also recommend visiting and meeting some of the cats from the rescue there.
We have been fosters for Lady Luck for over three years. We love how they provide us with everything we need to get these kittens ready for their forever homes, even extraordinary vet care if needed. They do a wonderful job of making sure that all kittens go to the best homes.
This rescue is nothing short of amazing. They help in finding forever homes for pets, even offering a cat cafe (Good Luck Cat Cafe) located in Fort Lauderdale. They are very professional when handling adoptions, ensuring all pets are going to great homes. I 100% recommend this rescue and stand behind everything they do ❤️
My husband and I adopted a wonderful kitten kitten named Malbec. He had 4 siblings at the Cafe. He is such a sweet and healthy kitty. The home check by Kate went smoothly. The Good Luck Cat Cafe in Fort Lauderdale is a good spot to interact with the kittens and cats. Right now they are only open for adoptions. They survive on the generosity of donations. The kittens there are old enough to be adopted and have been given their initial vaccines and spaying. Some of the adoption fees have already been sponsored. I recommend Lady Luck Animal Rescue (cats and dogs) and Good Luck Cat Cafe.
This is a great place to adopt healthy, beautiful, well cared for and well loved pets. One of the best rescues in my area. Everyone associated with the rescue is both knowledgeable and caring. Highly recommend them.
Everyone I have come in contact with who are associated with Lady Luck have been very conscientious and dedicated to helping animals. Their dedication is so deep that if things are questionable for an adoption and they have to choose between you and the animal, they will choose the animal. End of story.
Love the Good Luck Cat Cafe and Lady Luck Animal Rescue! Are very responsive with questions and genuinely care that the cats go to a good home. Highly recommend!
A dear friend hoped to bring a cat into her home from here. She was rudely treated and made to feel very badly. A more loving responsible pet owner would be hard to find. Very biased and not professionally run.
This non profit Animal Rescue took so much care to ease the process of bringing my friend’s cats to the animal hospital and to the Good Luck Cat Cafe for adoption. They are very friendly and professional. I highly recommend Lady Luck Animal Rescue!
I love this place. I’ve had only good experiences. It is professional, clean, and the cats appear happy.
Adopted my cat from this rescue, the best❤
Love this place
They didnt help me at all.
