Stan did very excellent work tuning our piano. We got his name from an aunt, and we have already referred him to my parents to have their piano tuned. Our piano had not been tuned for years and it had been moved twice, and Stan patiently went through multiple rounds of tuning to get the piano perfectly tuned. Once finished, he gave us a short tutorial about our piano, describing the design to us and telling us what parts of the piano could use further work to optimize the sound. Only hours after leaving, he sent us an email following up with some research he had done regarding our particular piano. Besides all of that, Stan is a very nice man and someone youd be happy to welcome into your home to work on your piano.

Great costumer service

A few years ago I had a different tech out to tune my 1980 Baldwin console and there were a couple of keys sticking. He told me I needed to have my piano rebuilt. I opted not to do that and was sad to know my piano would be costly to fix. Stan came out today and fixed the three keys with no problem. I should’ve found Stan on the web and gotten a second opinion right away!!

Wonderful Piano Tuner!!! We came across Stans site on a web search only after another piano tuner had come to our house to tune our 1911 piano and ended up assessing that it was not worth tuning at all and would likely break if attempted. Stan took a look (admitted that it had been neglected for many years), but that he thought he could get it in tune and fix the one broken hammer we had. In only a couple of hours the piano was in tune (with all keys working!), and sounded wonderful! And all for an affordable rate. (Also, he said wed likely get a few more good years out of it before wed have to replace it). Stan has tuned our Yamaha baby grand since 2006. His distinguishing characteristic is amazing care and concern for both the instrument and the player, pulling the best sound out of both. Our piano came with our new condo, but I did not play often because the sound was so bright and loud. Besides fixing some strings that perpetually went out of tune, Stan installed a humidifier that warmed and softened the tone -- now it is a joy to play! It is also a joy to chat with Stan, who quickly makes his clients into good friends. His visit is always the high point of the day!

Stan performed a difficult repair on my 100-year-old Chickering parlor grand piano. The lyre had come loose. Stan had to repair damaged wood from two prior attempts at the fix. Now the lyre is rock solid. He also replaced a missing ivory key top and tuned everything up. Im delighted at the quality of his service.
