Repair & service just a feeder to sales. I had their service person out 3 times for a leak. Each time he PURPOSELY only fixed a little bit and recommended I trade in for a new one - a hard sell. I discovered it was just that the nut on outside of the main 6 jets gets loose over the years and needs tightening & resealing with silicone & then some spray-in insulation. I had my handyman retighten & silicone & spray-in new insulation for $750 (vs over $10,000 for a new one) - no more leaks.Follow-up: the service department was very proactive in reaching out and trying to make it right (including refunding the 2 prior service calls). Explained that it was a newer resource and thats maybe why I had this experience.

We had an incredibly experience with the Cal Spa team! Our sales guy Don was knowledgeable, polite and not pushy at all. When we asked him how Cal Spa compares to other options in the Twin Cities, rather than bashing the other products (like some other places did that shall remain nameless), Don focused on the benefits of Cal Spa, where their quality was superior, and shared info on warranties and customer satisfaction. When it came time for installation, the crew was FANTASTIC! They were quick, courteous, helpful and basically a group of nice, fun guys. They walked me through all the setup steps, gave tips about owning a spa in MN in the winter, and left me with all the right info to setup and maintain my spa. I highly recommend going to Cal Spa!

I bought a hot tub at state fair 16 months ago from Bruce. He was amazing! I just had first problem with lights that stopped working. Love my new hot tub! Everything was delivered on time and set up was quick. I was worried about the chemicals and how to make sure I was doing it right but they had an easy to follow chart and also did a free in home consult after a couple weeks with my spa to answer any questions. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience! I ordered a gazebo from CalSpas to be installed on my patio surrounding my hot tub. From start to finish, everything went perfectly. The sales process, ordering of the gazebo, notification/scheduling of the install, and the installation all went off without a hitch. Great experience. Don, the salesman, was extremely helpful. They under promised and over delivered in every aspect. We received our spa in 3 weeks when we were told 6-8. If/when we need to buy another tub, we will go back to Cap Spas.

We purchased a hot tub from cal spas a couple years back, so when it began to leak we called then for repairs. They came weeks later & explained that we needed a new pump, it was replaced & it continued to leak. Then we were told it was leaking from the jets & we needed to seal the jets. So we did as told & our hot tub still leaks. We spent money fixing nothing & we still can’t use our hot tub. Very disappointing..After speaking with Jason I was inform that Jason wasn’t aware of how my situation was handled. He immediately offered some solutions without charging me. He was very friendly about it & got my issue resolved fairly quick. You can tell he cares about his customers and his business. I would recommend doing business with this company!

Don was our salesperson and he was so very helpful as we determined which tub was the best fit for our family.Cal Spas picked up our old tub when they delivered the new one.The team that delivered and set up the tub was amazing. I stopped by a couple of different showrooms in the western suburbs. The general feeling was like we were at a car dealer. Very much a buy now, dont shop around approach. I was very impressed with the salesman and the way everything was handled at Cal Spas. The guy who helped us there was always available to answer questions. He was very thorough and gave us time to shop - no pressure. We knew exactly what we were getting, what the options were, and it was a really good experience. My hot tub heater failed and was causing the hot tub to trip the GFCI. Called Cal Spas and the had someone out within a few days. (The Weekend was some of those days). Had it up and running and under warranty. Great service.

I think he does care about customer satisfaction because it takes courage to make these calls, in the heels of a bad review. I will change my rating to 2 stars . I do think their product is good and that they are trying hard and that is probably a lot more than you will get everywhere else.Since then no calls and no response to text. I am shopping somewhere else.

After months of researching on-line, and visiting 3 other suppliers in the Minneapolis area, I went back to CalSpa and purchased a spa. Don worked with me to ensure that I received tremendous value on a floor model, and for the price, the purchase exceeded my expectations. Because it was a floor model, I was able to coordinate delivery within a couple of weeks, to align with the required updates to my electrical system.Unfortunately, the HOA that governs our neighborhood rejected my application to install the hot tub. As a caution, if your neighborhood is subject to HOA governance, be certain to receive approval prior to spa purchase. My lack of planning put Cal Spa in a horrible situation of having to 1) cancel the delivery the night before it was scheduled and 2) negotiating a return and refund under conditions that are not normally accounted for in their policies.The owner of Cal Spa was completely understanding and, after discussing possible costs such as restocking fees that they had already incurred, agreed to a fair refund. A spa is a major purchase, and as I learned, sometimes things go awry. Cal Spa earned my lifetime loyalty, and when I buy my next home (not subject to HOA rules :)) I will go straight back to them to purchase another spa.

Dillon was knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient. It was expensive but we felt the best quality for a solution to our need. I saved myself the headache of more time searching for adequate parts and the additional DIY time.

I visited the Cal Spa stand at the State Fair with my fiance during our break from the french fry booth and I dont know if it was our appearance, being in our work uniforms, or our assumed age, but we were treated extremely rudely. We were not welcomed or offered any information on any of the spas. Instead of learning about the spa we were interested in purchasing we were yelled at for being near it and told to leave, because we only want to talk to customers. Apparently, it is ok to assume that if a person looks young you can treat them poorly. We are no longer interested in purchasing anything from Cal Spa and hope to save other young peoples from this terrible and hurtful experience.

Great store that literally defines customer service. On a recent purchase, we had an issue that was not Cals fault, but their team was out the very next day (which happened to be a holiday) and went way above and beyond expectations to the make the situation right. Rare occurrence in todays world where a high ticket vendor actually solves a problem all the way through. Cant say enough about the service we received!

Bought my spa from here a few years ago. The other day, I go to get into the sap and the water is cold! My circuit breaker tripped while I was out of town and it was negative 10-20 degrees out, the pump and heater area were frozen!!! Thankfully I called Cal Spa and they coached me on what to do and then came out and fixed it! Big thanks to Brian and Raleigh in the service department! Great company, great experience.

Helped to get my tub back up and running during this crazy pandemic. Did it all over the phone and without needing contact. Also went above and beyond to make sure everything was still covered under warranty.

Talk about going above & beyond. Over the Family Day weekend here in the Great White North of Canada, all Hot Tub companies in every province was closed on the Monday- Murphy’s Law has it that our breaker shut down and on our Hot Tub and it was -22F outside….the tub was a block of ice. The only option was to contact a Hot Tub company in the US in a State with a similar climate as Ontario. So the logical choice was to Google Minnesota and Cal Spa’s came up. Danielle pickup of the phone and empathized about out predicament and not only presented a solution but took me thru it ‘step by step’ knowing there was no financial benefit for the company. Quality service is a lost art in most industries but alive and well at Cal Spas of Minnesota. Cheers to you and your team. Thanks again Danielle. What a great company. What a great product. Couldn’t be happier!!

I like my hot tub but this company Never Again! $$$$$$Like most pools and spas they need parts and service. Unfortunately Ive found this place to be the most expensive place to buy parts and accessories. Needed a $63 part sold directly from Cal Spa and they wanted to charge me $199. Thats right $199. When I asked why the difference the guy turned into a jerk, told me to buy it elsewhere. A couple of winters ago I had to buy a heater and pump, with discount $197 for the heater and $599 for the pump. Online the heater sells for $104-120 and the pump $249-325 for the same part number, same parts. NEVER AGAIN!

Exceptional customer service. Always friendly and extremely helpful over the phone or in person.After inheriting a hot tub that was installed by the previous owners of a house this hot tub needed some parts, chemicals, and TLC to get it back in shape. The staff at this location was able to offer advice and instruction right over the phone and even more helpful tips in person. As my tub isnt brand new weve had to do some repairs to the plumbing and paneling to keep everything in good shape and they took the cake again providing instruction and recommending we do the relatively simple work ourselves to save $$. Also - you can get the cheap chemicals at the big box stores or your local hardware store but these guys have better products. If I moved out of state Id go out of my way to give these guys any future business. Keep up the good work guys, there arent many businesses left like yours.
