I read all the bad reviews ...yet still thought if I prepared myself for the worst I could meet with success. No such luck. I dealt with a nice employee when I rented, but upon returning, I got the Ogre manager - like drawing the go to jail card in Monopoly. Hes curt, rude, dismissive, smug and sour. They rented me a drain auger that was marked Do not rent that had a worn clutch. Made the job hell. Manager denied there was anything wrong with it. Blamed his employees. Deferred any responsibility to the company. I can certainly echo the dissatisfaction in this thread - Recommendation: rent elsewhere. Very poor customer service, poorly maintained equipment - 1 star.
I read reviews on here and found it hard to believe it could possibly be a one star, but trust the reviews, it’s absolutely worth worse than one star. Every employee was incredibly and unnecessarily rude. Skip this rental place and look for something else.
Never rent tools from here! They are extremely rude, (especially Joe) and its almost like theyre having a contest on how rude they can be. I rented a texture sprayer that did not work properly. I returned it for a the more expensive Pro sprayer. That one couldnt even spray water! Both times nobody verified the tool worked before I left and both times they verified the tools were broken when returned. Now they are refusing to refund the cost of the second sprayer! I talked to the store manager and Joe from the rental department lied to the manger saying the tool worked perfectly. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Dont rent tools from here! I have rented from them multiple times but I have never had such a bad experience as I did today. I was told it was one price upon renting a concrete saw and was not told about the extra 65$ fee for using the blade until I returned it. Im okay with paying the extra fee if they had told me about it up front, but they didnt and it just felt like they were trying to sneak in this extra fee last minute without telling me upfront. Very unethical. Home Depot you need to step it up and make this right otherwise I will not being renting from you guys again.
I would actually prefer to put 0 stars if that was possible. On hold for 47 minutes exactly as we needed information regarding our rental. When the worker picked up I asked to speak to a manager. He told me he was the manager and ignored the fact that I said we were on hold that long. I told him we weren’t even asked to be put on hold which his response ended up being “Is there anything I can actually help you with?” Infuriating. We won’t be shopping Home Depot from this point forward. Thanks, but no thanks.
I rented a floor sander which didnt work correctly and it lacked the on-board tool to change sandpaper. When I returned it the manager was called and he told me that it was my responsibility because I chose to take the tool in that condition, which makes no sense because I could not have known it was not in working order when I rented it. He was right about one thing, I do have choices: I can rent tools elsewhere.
Rented their towable man/boom lift. Trailer lights did not work. Ran out of juice after 2 hours. Returned in 5 hours, charged for 24 hour rental. Time not prorated! $65.00 MORE competition for same sized lift; for the convenience! Informed by staff, Home Depot doesnt even own the unit. It belongs to a 3rd party so HD is not responsible for condition issues or hour policy! Will not repeat this mistake!
The reviews here do reflect there service, rented a weed wacker to cut brush, the blade was on backwards And had been on backwards for awhile as you could see damage to the end of the blade, I eventually fixed the issue and brought it back with and asked for half my money back with confrontations while asking for the manager constantly because I know the employee couldn’t do anything .
The entire staff here should just be fired... Its humiliating having subpar rude employees that cant do their jobs right these reviews are all correct
Tool rental customer service its really bad, this person doesnt know how to use a computer, the tools had some missing parts, as a pro I used that tool several times before, he doesnt even know it comes with that, I expect more than that, I rather drive all my way to Richfield.
