After a horrendous experience at a dealership I decided to take my truck to Honest Auto. Not only did they work with me, they went above and beyond to show me everything they would be doing prior to fixing my vehicle. There was no hidden fees straight to the point purely great customer service. I highly recommend them for all your vehicle services.

Honest Auto is the best! I had a brake failure, and Nick got me in immediately. He even drove me home, as it came up so spontaneously that I hadn’t had the opportunity to make arrangements! Fixed the brakes timely, and we took care of the tires while there. He even arranged the paperwork to receive a $75 rebate from Goodyear. Grateful to have an ‘honest’ mechanic close to home.

Women don’t go here, he’ll take advantage. Went to get my battery changed didn’t mind paying for labor and the battery. He charged me an extra 130 to probably to just run volt meter which takes seconds claiming it was a full inspection- I did not ask for a full inspection. He also didn’t tell me about that until after he did it. My car now has a rough idle since I left too.

First time I met them they gave me some free advice prior to jumping into a new oil pump. Did it and saved me $2,500 on a misdiagnosed oil pump issue. Has helped me with three other issues on other cars couldnt be happier with service.

Stuck at home and unable to leave with my car in dire need of an oil change. I reached out and they were kind enough to come and get my car, take care of everything, and bring it back. Simple job but customer service was spectacular and price extremely reasonable.

Excellent experience with Nick at Honest Auto. Not the easiest place to find if youre going for the first time, but extremely friendly, very knowledgeable and great service. I was able to get in quickly and my car was fixed up the same day I dropped it off despite the issue being bigger than previously anticipated. Im not a car guy, and Nick walked me through what was done, and what needed to be done next and broke it down so it was easy to understand. He even showed me the parts he replaced and what was wrong with them, which Ive never had before. Overall I had an excellent experience and would recommend Honest Auto to anybody!

***Avoid*** My experience at this shop was negative & recommend you avoid. The shop name is misleading as I was pressed to find honesty & integrity in my interaction. Firstly, they press for workin in a budget vs. written estimates. Secondly, when I requested details on the labor effort the invoice was lacking details as it literally lists “1 item” without hours and rate details. When questioned on fees, was given an explanation that the mechanic was rated with an efficiency rating of 142% which resulted in a 42% surcharge based a rate of $180 per hour. Thirdly, when trying to address charges the owner was confrontational versus looking to address concerns. Lastly, the repair wasn’t completed properly as the reason was to address loud exhaust. When leaving the shop the car exhaust still was loud. You would expect a professional garage would call and inform of the issue and provide options. Instead worked to burn budget. If you patronize this business – get estimates, labor rates and require approval before any work is done. However, I recommend you select another shop. In fairness, prior to posting this review I did send to shop owner to provide an opportunity for feedback and to address concerns none was receive after two days.

Honest Auto lives up to its name! Not once have I been sold unnecessary repairs on any of my vehicles. The owner Nick has always been honest and forward! Not only is this the only place I will take my vehicles but it is also where all of my family brings theirs. Great Shop!

I had my first visit with the guys at Honest Auto and was very pleased with their car service model. My 2011 Toyota Tacoma was really riding sloppy and they gave it a top to bottom inspection. As expected with an older vehicle they found a number of issues and we talked through how to prioritize the work. Tires were the greatest safety risk so Nick got back to me with 3 choices and after listening to my driving priorities he suggested a set of Hankooks and Ive been really happy with them. I plan to go back again this month so we can work on phase 2 which will go after the suspension parts that are also part of my problem with my truck. They really work well with their customers and do high quality work at a fair price. Thats what we all want, isnt it?

Their service is more than their name Honest,even though it was my first time visit they are friendly and make you feel like family. After their service to make sure your car okay they do drive test. I have visited on 04/24/2019 around evening while I was driving home.Thank you.

I’ve lived in Plymouth for 10 years and it wasn’t until a month ago that I ran into Honest Auto. I texted after hours looking to get an appointment, I received a response later that night saying to come in anytime in the week and they’d fit me in. I dropped my truck off, I was called by Nick with the diagnosis and additional recommendations, quoted a fair price, and 24 hours later my truck was fixed and running better than I could ever remember. Nick gave me a run down of everything they did and recommendations that I myself could take care of moving forward for preventative maintenance. In a large town it gets harder to find smaller shops that do quality work for an honest buck. I will bring my cars here for everything moving forward.

I have used Honest Auto for 10+ years for my cars repairs. On my old Suburban Nick did brakes front and back, new tie-rods in the front, hoses, oil changes...you name it, if it needed to be fixed hes fixed it! I now have a new 2015 suburban that he had to replace the air compressor a couple weeks ago and while he was in there noticed a hose was leaking. He ordered the part (after he called and with my permission) and I brought it back a week later, at my convienence and he replaced it first thing in the morning. Nick has always been friendly, price competitive and very responsive. I recommend him and Honest Auto 100%!

I have been bringing my cars and trucks into Nick for many years. On a recent visit to his shop, he was doing some engine work, and called me to ask if I was having any fuel issues. I said Yes, I have been... My fuel reading will go from 1/4 tank to empty sometimes - am I having an issue with the float?. He said no, but the straps that hold the fuel tank on have some issues, one is rusted through, and the other one is close! I was lucky I had not filled the tank and hit any large bumps!Nick is thorough, and does such a great job! I tell people often, that he is THE ONLY ONE that ever touches my vehicles, and will remain so! Honesty and integrity... that is why I will be a customer for many more years to come.

My wife and I have had all 3 of our cars in for repairs at this shop. At first, we were impressed and satisfied. Our most recent experience has NOT been a good one. Damage was done to 2 of our vehicles during Nicks repair efforts. When confronted with this information, Nick failed to acknowledge his responsibility for causing the damage, but charged us to fix it, instead. One of the damaged vehicles is a gorgeous Cadillac Eldorado. While using a cutting torch to cut off a bolt on our rear suspension, the heat of the torch ruined the otherwise pristine interior of the trunk ... melted the carpet, blistered the paint, etc. When confronted with the report of damage, and directly asked if he was SORRY for damage he caused ... he replied Im SORRY you have a 19 year old car ... stuff tends to become damaged on older cars. When asked for an apology, and a refund check, Nicks reply was ... we had not conducted ourselves in the manner which he preferred ... and, that we should part ways. Nick was confronted with mistakes which he was responsible for, and wasnt MAN ENOUGH to admit it, and compensate repeat customers. If you can be intimidated by a car repair person, then I guess you will match the profile that Nick prefers! Good luck figuring him out. :(:( Jay McCracken
