I am a residential customer and I just got a bulk pickup scheduled with Cheryl. (spelling might be wrong as I forgot to ask πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ) The best customer service I have experienced in the past year. She had to schedule it a bit out but for a free and incredibly convenient service I am overwhelmingly satisfied. This is especially true when I think back to when I scheduled this service in the past with other representatives. Such great customer service I want to call back just to chat!

I have used their transfer station for 20+ years living in all of the tri-valley cities. As a contractor and resident. They exceed in customer service, pricing, and getting in and out in a timely manor. If the price seems inconsistent sometimes, so what, it’s still 10 times cheaper than other places. Keep up the good work and light hearted attitude at the gate!

No consistency on the way this place determines what to charge you. One guy charges $37.00 for a load one day and that same load the next by a different guy charges me $60.00. Great way to do business. BE CONSISTENT, bunch of B.S. !!

Ive never been to a dump that doesnt weigh they measure. I had a truck full of wood planks diff sizes. I thought it would be less than 50. Nope I was charged 90$ I played cash and when I asked for a receipt I was handed some random paper with no company name on it. That seems hella shady to me...

Displays charges a minimum of $30 for anybody that doesn’t live in Pleasanton. The receipt you get does not say anything about whom you paid to. It looks awfully suspicious and can only be assumed that they do not report cash. Do you even charge you for cardboard and recyclables. I’m surprise the surrounding cities don’t have similar service so we don’t have to deal with this entity.

This guy is the worst. Not sure where they get their pricing from but it is extremely inconsistent. I try not to go there but when I do, pricing is all over the place.I asked him why he could not do it by weight, weigh in and out, and charge. He said he only weighs dirt and concrete. That’s BS. All the other places do by weight.I would and do everything I can to avoid this rip off place!

Pleasanton Garbage takes forever to refund your money (only $28). I cancelled the service in Nov. 2019 and by late Jan 2020 I am still waiting. I called in three times each time I was reassured the refund check is coming soon. The 2nd time I called I was told they are two months behind payment!!! What kind of a place is this??? Who is the regulatory agency for this gangster???

Update to my review. Received notification that they now accept recycling of batteries, motor oil, and 3 big trash pick-ups a year. Great news!Waiting for the day that Pleasanton switches to an actual garabg company like waste management. Ever since moving to Pleasanton, trash service has been pathetic. They will not pick up oil to recycle, no big trash day. Horrible trash pick up service. Cans are knocked down, and/or pieces of trash always blown into front yard. I have yet to figure any positive on why Pleasanton has its own trash service opposed to a public company like other cities. But hey, maybe it makes the city wonder why people throw stuff in cans they shouldnt, or dump stuff they shouldnt.. because the trash service blows.

My service was great and prompt but the prices were outrageous!. I ordered the largest debris yard box they had for dirt, rock and concrete from a construction job we are doing there. I was quoted $480. Paid over the phone with a credit card. A month and half later I notice a huge additional charge of $719 on my bank card. When I question them about the additional charge they tell me the debris box was overfilled. Plus they charge $14 for a credit card fee. NOT HAPPY

Im not sure how or why this company is still providing garbage service for Pleasanton. The customer service is horrible and they are seriously behind when it comes to best practices, payment options and their online presence. Pleasanton can do better than this company!

Checked the website for pricing, couldnt find a line item list. I figured I would pay 36 bucks as an out of city resident. I was dumping an old sectional sofa and was charged 56 dollars. I was told 56 dollars for a 6 foot couch. The couch fit in the back of a 6 foot bed.I feel I should have been charged for the bed load, not the contents. They need to update their website to reflect the INSANE price. Prices like that DO NOT encourage people to dispose of things properly.

As you can see from the lack of attention to the questions, this place has no interest in service. Ive heard from others who use dumps more often than I do, that this one is actually cheaper than the Livermore one. But its inside, so you have to smell the wretched stench. If you go to the website, its equally lacking information. If your call, youll typically have to wait quite a while.

Go here when you need to recycle large pieces of cardboard. Tip: you wont need to wait in line- just pass on the right and shout to the attendant that youre just dropping off cardboard. No need to wait at the entrance when you leave, in this case.

Id never like to leave any negative comments but here I need to make an exception. PGS is absolutely a garbage service company. Im a property manager of a medical office building. Couple of my tenants had complained to me about their poor service quality more than couple of times each. Despite my repeated calls regarding their lack of service, they insisted that they had serviced & demanded extra charges for an extra pickup. I had no choice but to place a request for the extra service. Is there any alternative for commercial service? I guess not & thats why they can get away with their poor quality of service.

The most expensive and worst service garbage company in the US! They miss to pick our garbage cans frequently. And if you take them to their center, the greedy old school garbage owners charge you a minimum of $9 per piece! I think the customers, we the people of the city of Pleasanton, should take this matter to the City of Pleasanton or any other authorities and follow it up more seriously!
