A Pleasant Hill landmark and local favorite. Great service, extensive menu, good food quality, outstanding bar drinks. A place to celebrate any holiday or anniversary, takeout orders are also an excellent choice.

This is a relaxed place with staff that are like old friends. Strong drinks good food!!

Outstanding service from Bree the other afternoon as she brought our food and drinks to a table on their back patio. I didnt even realize this place had a back patio but the well-spaced seating and open air beneath oak and redwood trees made it feel like we were away from home and not just dining out. she was an attentive server and our food was delicious! Fish and chips for Fred, and the Captains Platter for me ($17.99), which includes fried fish prawns and calamari strips. Everything was delicious. Plus a couple great Bloody Marys and Jameson shots on the side. Hard to find time to dine out between work hours and clients, but this well-needed feast for the schedule and I couldnt have asked for a better Sunday afternoon!

My husband went to the bar with his son-and -law who’s driving him home and he had 3 drinks at the bar and his son-in-law has two beers, and he requested another drink and the bar tender told him you are done and the bar tender asked him to leave the restaurant, I don’t know why he did that because my husband wasn’t driving and his son-in-law has only two beers and he was driving my husband home, we had be coming to this restaurant for the past year, me and my husband usually go to dinner area and we had more the 3 drinks with the dinner and sometimes we go for breakfast with the family abou 12 people for Father’s Days, birthday party, I don’t know why the bar tender was rude and asked him to leave the restaurant and said to him he was done and he has to leave, we are professional people who own a business and we don’t talked with the costumer that way. We have been going to Zio fredo’s for 20 years and we had been treated professional with courtesy and respect. The breakfast and dinner at Mr lucks has been great how ever service at bar was bad and unprofessional by the one person.

This is an ok restaurant. COVID has been rough for it.The owner is outspoken on his views of the pandemic. Overall, you wont be wowd by the decor, or blown away by an amuse-bouche, but if you want just good food at good prices and stiff drinks. Then think about this place.Solid place.

I just visited for the first time with my girl and was very impressed with the great service and the food. we had the calamari and it was the best i have ever had. i will be returning here again soon.

Always loved their fish n chips but not tonight. Batter was bland but just salty, fish pieces were smaller, cold slaw had not a hint of sweetness or creaminess.

Loved it, had the Chinese chicken salad, delicious sesame dressing. One of my table mates had the veggie burger and she said it was quite good.

This place is so Ill. Cozy and family oriented. Prime rib is my favorite.

Easter brunch was fair but horribly expensive! Would not recommend for next years brunch.

We stop any time we are in the bay area from Sacramento whether its just a drink or full course meal, price. quality of the food or service is tops, try it and youll go back.

A friendly and efficient service at the barside. Didnt try the restraunt. The bar food was average though. We had the combo starter with wings and fries. Portions were good.

Had never thought of eating at this place but I was pleased to find it is much nicer than your typical bar. The menu has plenty of variety. We tried it for lunch first and decided to come back for dinner later in the week. I would say I prefer this as a great place to have lunch or for drinks. Dinner was a little disappointing as they only had one waitress who was really nice but had to deal with most items on the menu being out. I ordered the Pasta Primavera which was good but heavy (too much sauce).Also, our drinks/water were not being refilled unless we asked (could be the drought). Overall, this is a good neighborhood place for a low-key lunch and/or drinks.

Loved the food here! Had a chicken spinach salad and sat outside near a cute quiet creek.

Terrific burgers and they dont skimp on the martinis. Half off wine on Tuesdays and Wednesdays make this a good place to play hooky.

French dip is really underwhelming but the mozzarella sticks were fine. Other commenters saying they use frozen food are right. The wait staff were very nice. This place is okay but I wouldnt bring a date here.
