I’m writing this review for my uncle, who is mentally challenged and has lived in a group home since his early 20’s. This year has been a really challenging year for my uncle, his father passed away this past summer and then he came down with the corona virus in October and, consequently, had to be placed in a nursing home while he fully recovered. During this time he wasn’t able to see any family members or friends and was completely alone, except for when he saw a member of his nursing staff. To cheer himself, he started growing a beard during his recovery—it’s the first time he’s done so in at least 45 years. He let it grow wild, and refused to trim it at all—he just plain loved growing a beard, no one could tell him no! This past week my dad helped him to go and get it groomed by a professional barber. When he arrived at Beehive, the barber (Jordan) who trimmed his beard and mustache was very kind, helpful and meticulous. Jordan took exceptional care of my uncle, and ensured that he was happy with the results. Uncle John is back at his group home now, and all of his friends have been dishing out compliments—which has really boosted his spirits. This place not only does incredible and professional work, they’re large-hearted—which is honestly what the whole world needs right now. Anyways, thanks for taking such good care of Uncle John—it’s made a difference.

This is my favorite barber. The owner remembers me every time and strives to make a unique experience that relaxes and personalizes your visit. His lotions and oils are the best! He gave makes them and the time he committed to it shows. I routinely give the beard oil as gifts to my brothers outside of Utah who love the smell and how it softens the beard. I 100% recommend this place!

I’ve had 4 haircuts from Jordan and every cut has been exceptional. Years past I got my haircut at one of the local quick-cut barbershops. I can’t go back. Jordan is a pro. My cut looks great when I leave his shop and stays looking good for weeks. I found out that’s what a quality haircut does. Beehive Grooming is a beautiful shop. Finding a stylist who knows how to cut the best pixie for a picky girl with really thick hair is tough! My husband started going to Jordan for his hair cuts and not only did his hair look SO good immediately after, but it grew out so nicely over the next few weeks!! I decided to take a chance on letting him cut my hair and he did a FANTASTIC job!! He’s so knowledgeable in all types of hair and cuts and even teaches - I’m so impressed with how much he knows (i feel like he should be charging way more). Jordan’s so personable and just an all around great guy! he makes anyone he talks to feel so welcomed and comfortable and he went from our barber to our coolest friend really quick. Fantastic experience! Ive been to several other barber shops in the area and while they are all top notch, Beehive is special. William is the best barber Ive had because hes so passionate about what he does. Hes so good at listening to what you want, giving fantastic advice, or just having a friendly chat during the cut. William is also the man when it comes to beards, trust no one else. On top of all this, Jordans products that he makes in the shop there are the best out there by far. BG&C has the best beard oil I’ve ever used. In the last 5 years since I was introduced to them, I have never used another beard oil, and if I did, I was always left wanting. Until now, Ive hesitated providing a review because Ive wanted to keep this barbershop my own--and a few others who know about it--a secret. But, I promised Jordan Id write a review, so now I have to write one.My last two haircuts (and the first ones since finding Beehive Grooming & Company (BG&Co.)) have been the best haircuts Ive had since moving to Utah over four years ago. In fact, theyre the best haircuts Ive had in my life... and Im over 60 yrs old! I am not kidding. (OBTW, Im NOT exaggerating, and I am not being paid for this review.)A few months ago, I found BG&Co. and Jordan, the owner/operator simply by googling for a barber after not being able to get into my now former hair salon when I needed to do so. I am sure glad I did. Jordan is meticulous, professional (former trainer at a not-to-be-named top hair school in SLC), funny, enjoyable to be around (i.e., a great conversationalist), a good listener (i.e., does what you want him to, but offers recommendations when, where needed if you want something w-a-a-a--a-y off base), and has some of the best hand-made hair products around. In short, hes good...REAL GOOD!And because of that, and the fact hes a master hair cutter/stylist, Jordan is not inexpensive. But then again, hes not unreasonable either, especially when you consider who else is out there, and theyre not half as good as Jordan for the same price.Having spent 30+ years in the military, along with the proverbial $8 - $10 I was used to paying for a haircut, it was hard for me to pay upwards of $50.00+ for a shampoo, conditioner, haircut, and style. My wife has talked to me repeatedly about finally getting a real haircut. But with my selective hearing loss, I did not hear her half the time. Then, I needed a haircut for job interviews and out of town business meetings, so I finally listened and ended up going to 3 - 4 different expensive male-oriented hair salons around town. None of them met my wifes expectations. Not to mention, I kept thinking to myself, This is close to what my wife pays and I think hair salons are a complete racket. About the 4th hair salon I used, I thought Id found one both my wife and I could agree on. However, when the stylist I was using quit unexpectedly, and with me needing a haircut pronto, once again, I ended up looking online for a salon what looked good, if you know what mean. Thats when I took a chance on BG&Co.Now, I am truly happy with my hair, and my wife thinks Im HOT! For a boomer, thats saying alot! ;-). So, not only do I willingly pay for Jordans hair cutting services, he also lives close to my house (10 minute drive), and he has some incredible, new and innovative hair products which are all based on my favorite organism, bees. Yes, bees, as in honeybees and bumblebees. So, unfortunately, the secret is now out. Darn!In conclusion, its like the old saying goes, You get what you pay for. And in BG&Co.s case, its worth its weight in both gold and beeswax. Thanks Jordan!

I absolutely adore this shop! Nick is an artisan, and I do not trust anyone else to manage this beard of mine! They sell an amazing beard oil, which I have been rubbing on my face in a ritualistic manner since the moment I first laid smell to it. Do yourself a favor... Call in and schedule an appointment, and while you are at it, pick up a few bottles of this oil. Your beard will do its best to say thanks!
